I sometimes wonder where these items have been. Who originally owned them? How fascinating is their history? Or not! And what about some of the shelving units or hutches used to display them? Someone loved them at one point, and now they’re here, waiting for the next home. So much history and stories we’ll never know.

I have that same bowl that I found years ago in orangeish color , I've been told by thrifters that it is F and L.

Aah! The Flatsy Patsy still life at 6:55 was a whoosh back to my 60s childhood!❤
The Søholm vase at 6.07 is made by Einar Johansen. He had a series of pottery called " Tudse serien" (Toad series) between 1958-1960. The $85 is about retail i would say. It's about the same price here in Denmark. Lots of goodies today🙂

I'm in Canada, and one of the dollar stores in my city sells these glitter fish for $3 (big ones) $2 (small ones)
They also sell glitter star fish, seahorses, octopus, shells, mermaids, and coral. They are pretty cool 😎
I have seen them here in the United States dollar stores, too.
Something about the first displays was very cosy, the lighting and the way the items were displayed. Cool

This was such a cosy antique shopping mall and no music. Some really cool pieces too
The frog cover piece is Palissay. It is like Majolica on steroids being more 3 dimensional sculpture as opposed to a flat relief. They are a soft paste ceramic and relatively fragile, but because of this, the price tag for an unblemished piece is quite high. Amphibia, reptilia, arachnidia and insects on a foliage ground are popular themes. I once had a lobster plate.
Fire and Light is a company that recycles glassware. The pieces have a dimpled surface similar to orange peel and the shapes can be slightly wonky as they are not molded.

A good way to identify Lenci dolls is to look at the hands. Lenci dolls almost always have separated fingers.❤

Someone else I watched said she was taught by her dad if you can't read something to place a piece of paper over it and rub the signature with a pencil. Sometimes you are able to read they from the rubbing. I does make sense since you aren't try to fight the glare.

Best pattern ever! Also loved the green carnival. Normally not a fan of carnival, but that was just gorgeous! Small cat was Suzi Scoglund (sp?) Bucket Cat. I've gotten and sold these. They are super derpy! 🥰 Speaking of derpy cats, picked up a Shirley's Cat at a small rummage sale. Have you seen these? Cute derps!

Next time you are in Daytin Ohio. At the Valley thrift on Woodman Dr. Come on down to Patterson Rd. Turn right. And you will find THE GREEN DOOR on your right (across from Dots market). They have many vendors, lots of glass and many nooks and rooms... irs a new place this year. ❤
It seems like for the some of the pottery, we need paper and charcoal to do those engraving rubbbings. I wonder if that would make it easier to read faint signatures. Either that or photograph it and turn the contrast way up on the photo after. That works sometimes.

In your Goodwill videos, you always post an estimated value of the treasure you found. However, your antique store purchases never have the same SRP, and I am curious why. Is it a time consuming process? ❤️
Yes it's fire and light. I'm the lady in Arcata who lives around the corner from their old factory and have been collecting for years. Trust me and go back. Also they didn't sign their stuff. I think some people are doing that so they can get the high prices guaranteed.

Omg I found two sets of four saucer and espresso cups of that same Greek fish pottery. One set sold, one still sitting. I could barely find any other pieces with that same pattern.
