Those are pads that are either no connect (pads that don't connect to anything functional), or ground pads (of which you have a lot and you won't need to restore)
They said GND, meaning ground. They basicly say not to damage the solder mask on the ground plane thats around the pads, else it might cause a short circuit because the connections are so close to each other.
While this video has been great and informative and with the perspective as to why the repair was being done, just wished they would replace the broken display so that we know there is absolute zero defects after repair. I mean this is REWA for God's sake. They would have tons of spare displays that have been refurbished to say the least eh. Just my thoughts.
That aren't possible due to the logical design difference. It's same as trying to Replace your intel's previous Gen CPU with a newer Gen CPU e.g 9th Gen to 10th Gen or 11th Gen.

What caused the pseudo soldering? Was it the drop that caused the pads to come off?
