Anthony Aktins (1st guy) and Steve Terada (2nd guy) both are legends in sport martial arts. Very outstanding and unreal when it comes to creativity with their forms and tricks.
wow~ this is awesome~ the more i see tae kwon do clips the more i realise that they really do make the best use out of ur legs! more than what arms can do!
IceCream9873 same, it is sad... i am a former yellow belter, after my promotion, i stopped because i didnt really want to do it and then last year, one of my friend also just practiced taekwondo and that is why i would like to take taekwondo again and get her to join me
michael madsen Thank you! Anything can be accomplished with effort. Since this comment, my kicks have gotten a lot quicker, and I've made a lot of progress on cheat kicking. You definitely don't need a black belt to do a 540 hook kick.
capoera is brazilian martial art that is specialized in kicking and it is disguised in the form of dance. and TKD was inspired by karate but it became highly specialized in kicks. TKD kicks are one of those used in movies and actually lethal when used correctly, so as capoera cus you dont know when the kick is coming
@ScottishCaledonian 1) What is in this video isn't TKD, it's martial arts Tricking. Its meant for performing, not fighting. 2) TKD itself is a very practical martial art, so i dunno what your talking about.
@thehovertech you're doing regular, taekwondo, but they're doing what's called tricking which is taking some of the kicks in taekwondo and demonstrating them in a more flashy way.
@sbowesuk I agree! It would be taken to the ground. Thats why it's a good idea to have ground skills under your hat. For me, it's judo. It has been my experience that TKD martial artist, (Those who are good at it anyway) tend to be as fast as they are powerful. The problem with a lot of martial artists is that they have a vague understanding of the moves they are using and cannot see their opponent's next move. This makes using the right defense difficult. So yes, its going to the ground.
Some of the kicks are there to improve flexibility, which very much helps in real world fighting. Besides, some "showy" kicks have proven to be very effective in combat. It's about timing the kick perfectly.
@asiasXfinest Of course it is, try to hit someone while they are spinning, and also the kick is so quick the other person is knocked out by the time they see it.
they both do these kicks incredibly fast but while the asian guy may be just a tad bit faster you can tell the black man has a lot more power in his kicks he is the only person i have seen on youtube who looks like he could actually do this for real and be affective with it
The funny thing is, even though your all fascnated by their kicks, they don't even get the credit for the air they're getting, and they still remember to do blocks in that mess of kicks! Good job guys! (I'm also in tae kwon do)
they both do these kicks incredibly fast but while the asian guy may be just a tad bit faster you can tell the black man has a lot more power in his kicks he is the only person i have seen on youtube who looks like he could actually do this for real
fuahahahahah, at the end he had just the biggest smile on his face... Just like me when I freestyle on my drums! this is amazing! I gotta learn to do that stuff!... well... at least some sort of variation of what he dose at 0:54...
Tricking. It's called Martial Arts Tricking. It is meant to intimidate your opponent with fast spins and high kicks. The sport has quite a lot of Taekwondo in it, just without targeting.
with this type of stuff all you need to do is keep the person grounded by kicking they're legs in, or moving outer the way and once you did that and get a punch in they're out
Why is everyone insulting him and calling it garbage. true that it is quite showy, and might seem useless, however so are katas. one can't expect someone to attack a certain way, however they are great in training situational muscle memory and technique. Even flashy moves can be useful in surprising an opponent, showmanship can at times be useful in fights.
Why do people think that just because they can do fancy kicks that's all they can do? These guys are obviously skilled in martial arts and can beat the shit out of any streetfighter
@MaY2471 ^_^ He most likely already has... If you slow down the video you may notice they are really just using normal kicks; but due to their speed, power, KI, skill, and natural movements its hard to register them as moves you may already know. They also added a lot of flips for funz Thats prob the main differnce the flippys
Anthony Aktins (1st guy) and Steve Terada (2nd guy) both are legends in sport martial arts. Very outstanding and unreal when it comes to creativity with their forms and tricks.
Blackie Chan, my nigga!
I can top that, here hold my beer.
One of my first Martial arts YT videos i've ever seen on RUclips those old days. When RUclips was very new!!!
wow~ this is awesome~ the more i see tae kwon do clips the more i realise that they really do make the best use out of ur legs! more than what arms can do!

Damn, the kicks are so quick! I think my legs are just too long or something, no matter how hard I try, my kicks are always long and slow
Long legs are actually a plus in Tae Kwon Do. You are lucky to have them. Practice and commit and you ll get there.
If you dont start training at young age you will never get there. Sorry to dissapoint you.
***** I'm aware I cannot shorten my legs, thanks for your comment though...?
michael madsen I will go no further for sure I`m already black belt
michael madsen Thank you! Anything can be accomplished with effort. Since this comment, my kicks have gotten a lot quicker, and I've made a lot of progress on cheat kicking. You definitely don't need a black belt to do a 540 hook kick.
