tldr: Yelan / Xq are better for Hyperbloom teams. Full answer: Furina / Barbara / C6 Candace, etc. are better for Quickbloom teams. The main difference in Quickbloom teams is the slower Hydro application, which allows Quicken to stay active a bit longer for more Spread or Aggravate reactions. Alhaitham and Cyno benefit the most in Quickbloom teams. Quickbloom teams will outperform straight Spread / Aggravate teams nearly every time because of the added Hyperbloom damage. Furina is the best choice for Hydro applicator in Quickbloom teams because she does in fact boost Spread and Aggravate damage with her Fanfare. There's a common misconception that she does not boost Spread or Aggravate damage, but I assure you she does. She also applies Hydro more frequently than Barbara or C6 Candace. Which means a bit less Spread / Aggravate reactions but her Fanfare, and fairly high personal damage, usually makes up for it. With that said, Furina can not boost Hyperbloom damage. But if you want most of your damage to come from Hyperblooms, then Yelan is the best choice for Hydro applicator, closely followed by Xingqiu - depending on the team. If all you need is Hydro application, then Xq is actually better than Yelan because of his skill's Rain Swords will also apply Hydro. - Thanks for the great question btw and sorry about the long reply - I can't help it lol 😅
@@morewhisperoni hello, thankyou for your explanation really appreciate it for a new player like me! (ar 56 currently) one question in terms of DPS, have u compare between xq/ yelan with furina as hydro in this set up? which one is higher? currently i run alhaitham, nahida c2 (just got her), kuki c5 (just go her), and xq c5. i want to get furina on her next rerun, maybe she can replace my xq in my team
That's a great idea! I haven't thought of it before but after reading your comment, I'm now currently working on it. I did expand on the idea a bit, so I'm comparing 9 different support characters across Hyperbloom, Quickbloom, and Spread teams. I'll turn it into a video, over on my main channel. But if you want a sneak peak, I finished part 1 of the test on Twitch. I'll eventually upload the stream on this channel but feel free to check it out over there: www.twitch.tv/videos/2322346791 - you can skip to 2:30:55 for the results, if you want. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get to Furina's test today but she's next on my list. So I should have an early answer to your question sometime tomorrow. If you do check out the vod, it's worth explaining why I had to swap out Nahida for Collei and lower Shinobu's Hyperbloom damage. I ran a few preliminary tests and figured out that in order to get enough data for the tests, I had to remove Nahida and reduce Shinobu's damage. Otherwise my test subject dies too fast. But for the sake of this comparison, that's not too important since what we want to see is how much the Hydro character contributes to both the party and Alhaitham's personal damage. But thanks so much for idea! I'll get back to you with the answer later.
tldr: To answer your question: Yes, I have now compared Xq / Yelan with Furina. I found that Furina is Alhaitham's best Hydro support character. Her damage bonus is nearly identical to Yelan's, and Furina's Skill lasts much longer than Yelan's Burst. Xingqiu will produce significantly more Dendro Cores / Blooms than any other Hydro character. But, Furina still comes out on top due to her own damage contribution, and her amazing damage bonus for Alhaitham. So replacing your C5 Xq with C0 Furina is a good idea, but Xq is an excellent choice until you can get Furina. Full answer: Basically here's what I found after having a 9-way head-to-head for Alhaitham's best Hydro & Electro support: C0 Furina > C6 Fischl > C6 Xingqiu ≥ C6 Candace ≥ C0 Yelan ≥ C0 Kokomi (wearing 4-piece Song of Days Past) > C0 Yae Miko > C6 Barbara (also wearing 4-piece Song of Days Past) > C6 Beidou. Furina helped Alhaitham perform my tests much faster than anyone else, the closest in comparison was C6 Fischl. Whereas C6 Xingqiu, C0 Yelan, C6 Candace, and C0 Kokomi all performed about the same. Technically Xingqiu was the best out of that bunch because he produced the most Blooms - with an average of 23 Blooms in a 35 second window. For comparison, Yelan produced an average of 15 Blooms in about the same time while Furina produced an average of 13 in a 26 second window. On average, the character that boosted Alhaitham's damage the most was Yelan. There was an outlier where Furina was able to boost his damage by just 300 more than Yelan's, but this only happened once. So I would say that their damage bonuses are very similar, with Yelan technically coming out on top. But because Furina's Skill lasts much longer - and deals more damage - she is just much better than Yelan or Xingqiu for Alhaitham. Hope this is helpful (it only took about 6 hours in total w/ setup and testing XD) I'll eventually turn these results into a video on my main channel, but that'll take me much longer bc I'm slow at producing videos. But let me know if you have any more questions! - and sorry for the long response again...
C6 Noelle + C2 Furina + C0 Albedo + C0 Zhongli cleares the first half in a blink🎉
C2 furina can hard carry a lot of teams lol
does furina do a better job then yelan / xq for hydro applicator in hyperbloom team?
