Donalds version is masterful! I think it's the best one out there, his version is a little slower and really touches the soul....he is a true musician. Played beautifully.

I have watched this video countless times and every time I watch it I can only think of the dedication and devotion and that for a moment this world is just a simulation and the piano is the perfect stage combined with the great talent, I pray to God to keep him on the right track. Actually, Mr Gould is an accomplished musician with a background in music.
I have no idea what circumstances lead to him being homeless.
He was in the Marines. Ended up losing his family in combination with other tragedies then all downhill from there. After being featured on the news, many have donated for his recovery and a place to live and regain his life. I have always been a hair;s width away from similar circumstances, but what can NEVER be take from us is anything beautiful that we can share. Music, kind acts, experiences of being in far away places, etc.

I just want to watch all the blessings for this dear soul continue to grow! I can relate to some of what he’s been through or helped others through the rest of what he’s been through. I’m certain it was truly a living Hell. I’m proud to hear about a person who was brave enough to not give up on himself or us. There were probably plenty of times he thought about it. A truly spectacular man & musician. Continue with the Life you’ve found & been given! And please never stop gracing us with the gift of your genius. Much love & prayers being sent your way forever! Casian Man, thank you. I admire anybody who can play music. And, doesn't this being about more respect for homeless people on the street. The street people I've met & helped are an inspiration. Hard times can hit anybody at any time. Have mercy on them for someday, the tables may be turned.

The reason why that I am watching this video is because that I can play the piano to and I have been playing the piano for 4 years now. This man is very talented. So what I have learned is that some homeless people can be talented. Ps. I heard that when you play you will have a lot of credit and you would have a very good amount of money!

This homeless man plays with his whole being. I feel more than the words Styx wrote convey; its a conversation between me listening to a voice that somehow speaks through this one, in just his homelessness. I name IT the Larger Domain, but some others have different names for IT, who speaks not to just this man but all of us, living in a fancy home or on the street.

When his wife died, He just gave up, I noticed he took his hat off before he started to played.. I read someone heard this ( EX MARINE ) play and offered to help him get a record deal....
Wonder where he is today, He was looking for his son he hadn;t seen for sometime.... We never know what someone else is going through... He has been living for 10 years on the street....
He was reunited with his son, worked with a record producer to cut a record, got into rehab. Watch the follow up RUclips videos!
