- In this video, as promised in my live stream from Sunday, I'll give you an update on the new hotels in Magaluf, Majorca - the new Fergus Club Mallorca Waterpark hotel, the Tent Calvia Beach and the Tent Mojito Suites hotels which will open to the public this Summer.
I also met Linda and Paul from Stockport who told me why they love visiting Magaluf and what they think about the changes going on in the resort.
We'll also take a look at how busy Magaluf beach is mid-week compared to the very busy beach we saw on my live stream from Sunday which you can watch here:

We've been coming twice a year for 26 years, and have noticed a difference over the years. Glad going back to more family orientated Magaluf. Will be going to see Martin, Paco and Ross in Benny Hills on 9th May fir 12 days 😊😊

I remember Carlos and Jose behind the bar when we used to go to Benny's every night back in the 90s/early 2000s. There was also the old fella running things in the day, and Miguel who was one of the waiters. We used to come over 2 or 3 times a year (I came over 5 times one year 😂) Miss those days! Must get my passport renewed!

53 weeks after last years trip I will be back... PalmaNova this time as Magaluf was a bit tight on capacity for obvious reasons! Been looking up the buses via Palma to Alcudia & Arenal so I can revisit the rest of my 80s childhood hotels! 40 days to go... ;) The last 2 months before "the season" seems hectic every year with the remodelling - this year more than ever with the Fergus changes.

Coming over on the 27th of April for one week to Can Picafort so hoping there is a nice busy holiday vibe. I know it's early in the year but hoping for some sunshine and places opened up. Mallorca is such a lovely place and we are planning a trip to Alcudia old town. Can't wait the countdown is on 😊. Great vlog thanks Alex xx

Hi Alex first went to majorca about 45 years ago & have stayed all over the island ,its gr8 to see the island again through your eyes you really do a great job ,very informative ,ill checkout more of your vids so much better than some of the others keep up the gr8 work ,ps love your interactions with the macmaster😊

Amazing place looking good, we will definitelyvisit magaluf again sometime.. We're going to Can Picafort in 94 days and counting can't wait ,we've never stayed at can picafort but really excited,can't wait to finally be back in mallorca we've missed the island x

Yes it was! You will have a fab time. Lots of lovely bars to go to - not just the Strip, but places like Zeplins and Papis, you'll have some good nights. I'll make content from these places soon.

Yep.. .it's insane.
There is an active query as to why the prices are going up as much as they are, with a meeting being held next week (18th April) with the local calvia council and the hoteliers association. You are quite right though the prices are becoming eye watering they want the families yet the prices are pricing most out of the market there and having to go elsewhere.
@@SCOTTCOD4 they certainly are pricing themselves out of the market for a normal hardworking family 😕😕
There are some bargains. Our 4 days is the cheapest we've had for a while
@@lindaclarke1409When did you book for and where? From May onwards the prices are up massively on last season, till mid September then they drop off again. (But that’s because the resorts slowly shutting down for the season then)

Great informative video. Are there more renovations going on than in previous years? Seems to be lots in every resort. 🤔
Alex can maybe add more but in my opinion Nothing more than normal infact i would say that maybe less work on the bars this year and a little more on the hotel side. Various bars upgraded more over the last year or so and this year while there is building work on a couple of bars most is more cosmetic. (magaluf area)

Sorry I should have more specific as i realise you cant just walk i to one for a review. the building works and whether there had been any other things added that I may have missed. I thinks magaluf should bring back unlimited drinks bar crawls, unlimited drinks excursions, and unlimited drinks in the hotels. Also bring prices back to what they were in the 80s. Im sure it would make a difference. Also let uk workers, work in summer season. Not a lot to ask i hope.😂

@@shutup2751definitely Magaluf needs to change , and it is changing for the better
@@Thomas-fr1ww I somewhat disagree but also agree but not along the lines of which you maybe say? First off i would ask have you been to Magaluf and if so how many times, secondly from a person whos spent over 15+ years there going back and from the changes are being sledgehammered though and at what cost? The life and soul of Magaluf is being sucked out of it, with various regulations which was pushed through without contest during covid and it hammered the place. I agree that Magaluf having a few tweaks here and there was needed but not to this extent. Palma Nova in 5 mins walk and has everything Magaluf had apart from the craziness at 4am but now its going higher end that Palma Nova, and for 'families' the same families who now cant afford to go as its pricing them out the market. I saw a comment from one family it would have cost them close to €10k to come.. Let that sink in.
