    Thank you! Thank you! I was fascinated by the Italian CO (love the meditative movement) and managed to do it once or twice last year, but had difficulty with reading the CO when it came to do the setup rows (LOL). Your tubular CO tutorial is much easier to follow for the same result! I successfully CO the neck of a new sweater last night thanks to your tutorial.

      @@Cadyjaxknits Ha, that’s funny 😂 I knit continental (being originally from EU) and for some reason I though you knit as most knitters knit here in the US 😁… but as I remember back, you did knit continental explaining the “half and half wrap” 💖✨

    for the repeat, does the k1 yo count as the 1st row? Or are you doing that row and THEN 4 rows of k1, slip w yarn in front? Thank you!

  • @mirjam1811

    When you start your crochet chain add a knot in the tail. When you are ready to unravel the provisional cast on you know that you do not start at the tail with the knot. So start knot at the knot when unraveling 😂

  • @christinasavage9330
    @christinasavage9330 Год назад

    Great video-very clear. I have one questions though, do I count the first row-the k1, yo, row, as one of the four repeats? Or do I start counting the four repeats with the first actual row where I’m slipping the purls?

    • @mirjam1811
      @mirjam1811 8 месяцев назад

      From the first row, I also thought 4 rows from when it was told…but found out it was not right just by counting Jackie’s stitches. So I undid and started over and now it is right❤

  • @trishadickshinski1473
    @trishadickshinski1473 Год назад

    Thank you for this tutorial! I’m casting on my third Saturday shrug. One point of confusion about the technique. When you have that extra stitch (that you eventually connect when joining in the round), isn’t the first stitch for each of the 4 rows always going to be a sl 1 PW because of the odd number?

    • @Cadyjaxknits
      @Cadyjaxknits  Год назад +1

      After the set up, you will always slip the purls and knit the knits, regardless of whether it’s the first or last stitch.

    • @trishadickshinski1473
      @trishadickshinski1473 Год назад

      Thank you!! I realize now that I had miscalculated my stitches on the first go around. I was definitely over thinking it. I then just followed your tutorial step-by-step, pausing at each step, catching up and then moving forward. It worked out great and it looks beautiful! Thanks again for such a lovely knit! 🧶
