@@frankfranjul7095 The Supernovas were potential rival ideas for various character concepts Oda had rattling in his brain. Admittedly the only part you could tell seemed last minute that Oda fully copt to was Killer's name as he couldn't think of any other name for the guy despite having given names for the other Supernovas.
The warlords were actually a concept Oda had initially loosely but at first didn't want to go with it not knowing if the series would be really long as he wanted the Emperors to be the main villains and didn't know if he wanted to have lower ranked villains first but eventually the series was so popular in it's first year he realized he could introduced that concept so went for it.
And it should be pointed out it's happened twice now with Doflamingo and Law and now Kuma and Bonney but done in totally different ways yet still making them the most interesting and complelling warlords/super novas.

We just had no way of knowing just how tragic the backstory would be, or Saturn's involvement.

He gonna be a crew member too. Oda said this era of one piece will be a big battle royale and we will get crazy exciting matchups but how exciting is it really is the straw hats aren't involved. Kuma solves that with his fruit and the problem of someone threatening the crews family all the way in east blue like big mom tried.

I feel like you may have missed the point about why Saturn starts telling Bonnie all the bad things he did to her and her family. Right before he goes on to tell her about all the things he did to her and her family, he realized that Bonnie's powers stop working as she began to feel that her future is getting more and more certain so what I think he's trying to do was to make Bonnie's powers unusable by making her feel like she was completely doomed which worked as she couldn't use her powers for the rest of the chapter.

9:30 I thiiiiiink the reason they didn't put like a billion berry bounty on Luffy for rescuing the one and only Poneglyph reader with the power of Rubberhose cartoon is that they didn't want to draw so much attention to him that some big names would want to actually protect Luffy just to figure out what the big deal is.
It's a similar reason, I believe, to why they split the double-yonkou bounty evenly between three people. It WAS to mask how big of a deal Luffy actually is; his Nika form wasn't even meant to make it to his updated poster.

Every time he runs into a big name powerful person he either beats them up or they protect him, some times both. Half the warlords he runs into end up protecting him or helping him out, the other half he beats up. Two admirals have just let him go, and Adam Sandler shot the key not the crack head. He is friends with Shanks, thinks he is friends with Buggy, and BB is his only real enemy among the emporers. Revolutionary army has helped him out a few times. He has caused more revolutions than the Revolutionary Army, and prevented more than the Marines.
Luffy really inspired Sabo by not caring for any reason and just went there and save his boy Kuma.

Well, up until now Aokiji acted the most different from the others. Almost like Kuma early in the story, inscrutable, but not feeling quite like an antagonist. I’m hoping he doesn’t go the opposite direction. Oda’s making the admirals interesting.

In terms of Saturn's over the top villain monologue, I thought he was doing that specifically to demoralize Bonney, since right before that he explained that the less hope she has for the future, the weaker her power gets.
I always got the feeling the WG _tried_ to conceal Luffy, like how they changed Roger's name to Gold instead of Gol D. in the eyes of the public. But because of honest to god plot armor granted by his devil fruit, Luffy cannot be contained.
Like, they didn't want his full name on his first wanted poster, but someone fucked up. They _definitely_ didn't want Gear Five to be shown, but Morgan gives no fucks. On top of that Luffy is such an active participant in the world, turning it on its head? Beating up warlords, making friends and freeing countries. He's just too much of a selfish crackhead for their complacent asses to handle.
I figured Dragon wasnt terribly concerned about Ivankov being captured because he was confident he'd be able to break out when the time comes. Given how sure Iva was of himself in terms of being able to escape, and the fact that the entire revolutionary army should know about the tunnels because Morley was the one who made them and used them to escape already, it seems like the revolutionaries kind of have a leg up on prison breaks.

Saturn called it an unnecessary fruit, so it might not actually be as broken as people are assuming. A fruit that nerfs itself as the user ages does seem kinda crappy on it's face. Like the gum gum fruit, it probably only shines when given to specific individuals.
He was saying people change when Dragon was naming all the titles Kuma had collected over the years. (King, Tyrant, Pirate). I stand with Dragon not rushing in to main enemy bases for 1 or 2 soldiers no matter how close they are.
I mean when whitebeard did it he lost a staggering amount of people doing so. People forget that.
Especially when those 1 or 2 soldiers ended up basically running their own little kingdom within that prison

Mugiwara it was KUMA THAT GAVE LUFFY THE FOOD. Its the chehov's gun scenario with food. He makes it travel and Luffy gets to eat it. Just Check out chapter 1092 where Kuma destroys the food reserves of the Celestial Dragons before heading to Egghead. Kuma has the direct line to the snails through Vega Punk technology. He knew she was in trouble and knew Luffy needs food.

After reading his backstroy I gotta day that Kuma has become my favourite character in One Piece, and it's gonna be hard reading the future chapters with this bomb in mind
These chapters have been so hard to read, but so meaningful. It’s been interesting watching how content creators respond, some talking about how hard it has been for Kuma, others focusing on Ginny (and the echoes of Boa Hancock’s sad past it brings up). Sometimes the perspectives break down along gender lines-but the best content creators see it all-sensitive to the pains, observant of the big themes, and taking in the joys. You are one of the best Mugiwara No Goofy.

People theorize that the real reason for Ace's public execution was to trap Luffy or kill him using Ace as bait. It almost worked too. I suppose sending everything they have directly at Luffy who at that point wasn't publicly a big enough threat would have tipped people off that there was something special about him.
I think that Saturn is telling Bonnie about what he's done so that she loses hope/moral. It seems to me like he's trying to lock her into thinking that she is just a diseased child, so she can't transform into anything better (based off of his explanation of her powers). I also think that once she sees that Luffy is Nika, she won't be able to use Nika powers anymore...

Even if it *was* Caribou (or somebody else we haven't thought of) bringing the food to Luffy for him to recover, that would mean Kizaru still watched it happen and didn't do anything stop them or call the other Marines' attention. Even if he can't break free yet from the "must obey orders" mentality, the guy obviously still wants his friends to escape.
Morley probably told Eva about level 5.5. that's why they were not concerned. they knew Eva could manage.
It's possible that the World Gov't didn't know what the fruit they gave to Bonnie did. For Luffy and his rubber powers, I like to think that the WG isn't completely omnipotent and that the One Piece world is actually quite large, making it extremely difficult to find him. The logpose has a degree of randomness to it, and Luffy also took unexpected routes, it's entirely possible that he managed to completely bypass any effort made to track him down. The WG people that DO find him end up sympathetic more often than not, as well as the people of most islands they visit which likely makes him harder to track; You know where he's been but not where he's going. There's also the possibility that Dragon has helped, though if he's spent a lot of time making sure his kid is doing well but completely ignoring his officers getting kidnapped that would be kinda shitty.
Basically the magical traveling crackhead and his band of idiots avoided the cops through pure crackhead energy and luck.
The people change line is in reference for when Dragon said, "King, tyrant, pirate, you've been wearing a lot of hats these days."

So my favorite character is Sanji because when I was a kid we had to eat at a homeless shelter just a few times and I ate this stale donut and let me tell you I was so hungry but it tasted so good when I saw his backstory I really felt something with that so he became my favorite character and also fun fact I have a one curly eyebrow lol
Sanji is an amazing character and my second favorite straw hat after Luffy such a good take
Not to be the 4-eyed nerd, but haki has always been the manifestation of willpower since Amazon Lily. That's why haki wins over devil fruits: because "will" beats "dreams and desire". And that's why Luffy is the perfect candidate for the Gum Gum awakening: because he got both.
I literally cheered when I saw that panel of Kuma's fist rearing back. Saturn dun f**ked around TOO LONG and is about to find out in a major way.
Also my favorite character is our beloved Captain Crackhead himself, I adore Luffy's antics and cannot wait for what he pulls out once he gets that food in him.

I mean... they did send Garp AND Aokiji to water 7, they just didnt care enough to actually try to catch him, then they send kuma to assist moria even when they were not sure where the straw hats were, then Kizaru was sent to deal with them... they have been actively going for them since water 7
We just got a color spread to celebrate the year of the dragon, but can we all raise a glass to celebrate what has unequivocally been the year of the GOAT? What a meteoric ascension for our boy Kuma. I hope he gets all the happiness he deserves in 2024.
In the World Government's defense, before Enies Lobby, Luffy wasn't anything the higher echelons of the WG had to worry bout. Even before and after EL it was Aokiji and Garp who let them go, they went straight to Thriller Bark which when they found out about it, sent Kuma, who let them go. Saobaody sent an Admiral, and Kuma teleported them away. Marineford, was protected by Whitebeard's crew and sunk away with Law. Time skip, Training with Rayleigh in a Warlord's territory. Return to Sabaody, Rayleigh bailed them out. Fishman Island, Big Mom's territory. Punk Hazard, an abandoned government island, that no one would think of (that's why Ceaser chose it). Dressrosa, Fujitora let them go. Zou, a constantly moving elephant and they had no way of knowing he would be there. WCI, Big Mom's home base. Wano is Kaido's home base. They either didn't know where he was, were at places that they couldn't directly interfere with, or their own personnel let them go.

I think it would have been impossible for the world government to actually send everything they had after luffy without allerting the Yonko that there's something up with the rubber man. They always did what should have been enough to get rid of him while they trying to not allert everyone. If they sent more than an admiral after a rubber guy with a tiny crew there would have been an outright war with at least shanks and whitebeard, maybe some warlords switching sides, blackbeard showing up and even Kaido and Big mom might have seen an opportunity to get into the action.

I would argue that the main reason the government messes up so much is simply that they've become complacent.
The only reason luffy survived for so long before the timeskip is because the world government was too busy dealing with the whitebeard situation. Ace was captured when they were still in jaya, by ennies lobby they were already too busy with the "angering a yonko" crisis to focus on the still-just-a-child probable future nika.
It could be a Dalai lama and Panchen lama situation where the world government wanted to control one of the aspects of this power because they couldn't control the power of the Nika devil fruit and it was always eluding from them. So they want it probably their own version of Nika that was under the government's control. Then the world government could have a nika-like figure coming and support the world government instead of opposing it.
I just pictured the next chapter being JUST St. Charles flying threw each page, "ripping" them, then finally landing on the last page.
I wanna point out that after enies lobby they sent garp and kuma after them immediately. And not long after showing up on saboady they become untraceable. Then luffy heads to two differeng headquarters of theirs and makes it out of both due to luck and allieship after that the strawhats are in unknown areas and after that they send an assload of pacifists battle ships and soldiers to capture him at return to saboady and then after that he rides the current of laboon species whale to get to somewhere that shouldn't be able to be gotten to by any of the Fishman Island logpose routes which is only picked up on ny smoker cause he was waiting at the most dangerous island cause smokey knows how luffy do and then onto dressrosa they sent fujitora after that they go to Zou. An island untraceable without a vivre card and then whole cake island an empereors domain then wano another empereors domain to which they sent elite cp0 agents and then the rest is history. Luffy throughout most of his journey has been in areas hard to reach and if he isn't they send top brass to get him. I think oda has his bases covered on this one

The Straw Hats have been especially untracable Post-TS, and Pre-TS, the WG did, as you pointed out, send heavy hitters for them after Enies Lobby. If Garp had done his job, or Kuma did so on Thriller Bark, or if Rayleigh hadn't shown up to protect the Straw Hats from Kizaru, their voyage would have ended.

Everyone forgets that Adam Sandlers Justice is “Unclear Justice” as to the other two OG admirals were “Absolute” and “Lazy”. So I’m just happy we’re seeing it into play right now with his actions and what it means to him

Another giant fuckup the WG had was the War at Marineford. Not only did Blackbeard got another high-power DF, but Marineford was basically destroyed, Luffy still got away, hell, he even managed to free Ace for a minute, should've stopped him long before that, but as an aftereffect, all the areas Whitebeard protected lost that protection from bad pirates. There's no way in hell they didn't know Whitebeard protected those areas. How the fuck did not they realize getting rid of Whitebeard would seriously INcrease pirate activity????

The World Government's whole 7 Warlords system was stupid. To date:
Crocodile - almost took over an entire kingdom from the shadows, and WG had no idea & did nothing until a crackhead punched him into a rain dance
Doflamingo - did take over a country from the shadows, WG knew but had to just dance for him like puppets until a crackhead saved the whole country from destruction
Boa Hancock - defies most of their orders until she got rizzed out by a crackhead & helped him stage the largest jailbreak in history
Mihawk - defies most of their orders & just wanders around cutting things for fun, until the WG actually needs him to cut something & he cuts Buggy
Buggy the Clown - a clown
Geck Moria - useless
Blackbeard - what has he ever done except catch Ace & use the resulting Impel Down + Paramount War arc to form the worst & most powerful band of villains since Rocks D Xebec
Trafalgar Law - formed an alliance with the crackhead that took out Doflamingo, led to the establishment of the Mugiwara Grand Fleet, the liberation of Wano & the Fifth emperor of the sea replacing two emperors
Edward Weevil - son of White beard or whatever, hasn't done anything for WG
Jinbe - I'm pretty sure he also did nothing for WG
Bartholomew Kuma - only obedient member because of blackmail & erasing his personality, still saved the whole Strawhat crew on Sabaody, and is probably going to punch Saint Saturn so hard it becomes a global humiliation

After reading in few places and these comments, I'm 100% sure that the venn diagram of people who think Celestial Dragon has storage fool of cooked poiza and chunks of meat on a bone so Kuma could drop it to Luffy AND peopole who cimpletely missed the slap-you-in-the-face-fact that Saturn was doing mental warfare to keep Bonney too hopeless to use her fruit IS A CIRCLE.
