Also check out South Main Auto and Pine Hollow auto diagnostics. I think ScannerDanner and pine hollow and South Main all got together early on. All great channels, i also watch all the channels listed here.
Years ago i was at the gym exercising on a treadmill. Build in to that treadmill was a screen connected to internet. I started watching RUclips when i was exercising. It was then when i watched my first Automotive repair video by a guy named Paul Danner, i was hooked😁. His videos have inspired many, including me.
I didn't know that! That's awesome buddy. Now look what you've created! You and Ivan of PHAD and Eric O of SMA all great channels and ever better technicians, by its truest form. And we can't forget about Super Mario as he belongs in this conversation too! For others reading this, absolutely there are other awesome unnamed channels here, I think Mario was just mentioning the ones he would have had the most interactions with on his path. Same as I just did with PHAD and SMA and DD.
I see Ivan of PHAD already commented and his channel is fantastic. Also when looking across the pond we should include Diagnose Dan in Holland he does a great job at teaching.
Scanner Danner also started it all for me. At this point my favorite is Ivan from Pine Hollow, he is the one I continue to learn from the most. In my opinion he does the hardest electrical diagnostics problems. Their all great teachers, but Ivan is the one I can relate to most.
Paul Danner is a life changer. I believe he has converted many peoples in to professionals around the world including me.. I love his slogan "Don't be a part changer" My Definition for Bernie Thompson is Father of Modern Automotive Diagnostics.
That’s a great list Mario, I’ve been an auto tech for 27 years now, I have learned a great deal from all these channels especially ScannerDanner, I will also mention Ivan from Pine hollow Auto Diagnostics and Eric O from South Main Auto as two excellent channels for diagnostic process, also your own channel, just excellent 👍
You have introduced me to some channels I haven't heard of, thanks! It will be fun to see a follow up video about some of our friends who work in shops or as mobile techs. And don't forget, you have become a wealth of knowledge as well. You have applied what you have learned from others and have gained experience in your own work to become a great source of information! (and entertainment) :)
Danner was definitely my source of inspiration. thank you. Currently I continue learning every day from all of YOU and many American and Latino instructors and engineers. Thanks to all those who take the time to teach on RUclips and those who share the TIPS on social networks, such as Roberto Saiza from Los Cabos Mex. Rufino Martinez from California USA and many more...
Not to take anything away from you Super Mario, or any of the other fine channels being referenced here (they are all excellent), but ... no list like this can possibly be complete without mentioning what many consider to be among THE VERY BEST on social media ... South Main Auto with Eric O. I'd put a link but RUclips search engine makes it easier.
100%. You are actually the one that started it for me. It was a RUclips suggestion that brought up one of your videos. And from there it was Bernie, Ivan, Paul, John and 3 or 4 others who's first names escape me right now. You guys have created something that we as techs didn't realize we needed.
Another thing that I may add, Mario: each of these individuals that you have mentioned are great guys, people that we would be honored to have as a close friend.
Mario, props for giving just attention to many of the great diagnosticians on RUclips. Diagnose Dan and Pine Hollow diagnostics are on par with these you mentioned. If you ever do a collab with any of these guys, the algorithm will have to self implode from the greatness.
your just scratching the surface Mario. Watching you, the channels you mentioned, and some others I have expanded my knowledge beyond anything I could have imagined from just a year ago. I just wish I could get into a shop where I can actually put more of it to use and get more actual hands on experience.
Great video Bro👍 If all these great people were not sharing their valuable knowledge with us through RUclips, we would not be where we are now professionally, Huge Thanks to all of them❤ & in my case Scanner Danner has transformed my life, learning from him made me do what I dreamed of😍 Special Thanks to Scanner Danner❤
Years ago we had pioneering diagnosticians leading the charge on YT, soon to be followed by multiple excellent channels too numerous to list, and now in what feels like generations later, there is this explosion of new channels. I can be hard to keep up, especially if you spend a lot of time in the shop. It's a good idea to pick favorites that keep you learning to the max. For me, it's the channels that pack as much new information as possible into the shortest amount of time. I've done enough video editing in my life to know that it can be a huge amount of work. Since I love working on cars more than making videos, I hardly publish anything at all myself. But kudos to all those who do, especially the leaders who can really push the envelope of knowledge and technology. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this great list of trainers! I wish I had these people to see 20 to 30 years ago. Even though I'm retired now since 2016, I still watch some of them including Super Mario to keep learning. Thank you again.
South main auto, bernie thompson, and the list goes on. Im very thankful with this people with their effort to educate people and me. I learned a lot and build my own diagnostic routine. Thank you again from toronto canada.
Wow those are big names! And you are right I started to watch ScannerDanner here in California is hard to find training classes about Daignostics and test. I felt that I could not grow as a technician until I found ScannerDanner I have truly Lear a lot from him! Because I always said to my self I don’t want to be a “ parts changer”
Paul literally saved my garage! I found John Kelly looking for up harvey spicer types.........but he led me into EV diag. Your list and comments mirror mine!
Thank you for sharing these channels would be great if you put links to them in the description or in comments I really appreciate your channel too learned a lot from you
I agree 100%….. just one advice for the new techs….. watch those videos again and again multiple times…. Then purchase the tools and watch same videos again….. because first time it doesn’t make sense….. but watch it again and again same vibes you will get it … and good luck to everyone….. thank you Mario and thanks to every RUclipsr
In my profession, I call it memory/touch repetition. One will never remember repairs once but multiple times until it becomes second nature. It also causes your senses to recall that trouble by sound smell and feel.
This video is just awesome, love all of these guys. I'm learning from all of them and still learning from others. if I could add anyone else, I would add super Mario, Eric O and Pine Hollow Auto, please guys a lot of us our new this and feed from your videos, so please continue to share and have a love for what you are doing. We appreciate it and appreciate you. God bless you all.
Glad to see I follow all of your recommendations for training already! I definitely have became 100x the tech I was just 5 years ago with the access to so much knowledge for FREE or at such a small investment that I would be crazy not to take advantage of. Great video Mario!
Great video Mario of course I owe all my electrical diagnostic knowledge to Paul/scanner danner. I will definitely check out all these links. I hope y’all have a great day.
That's a great lineup. I've had the great fortune to have attended classes by all but 2 of them. Frank and Paul have been on RUclips only so far.. I was also friends with Dave Decourcey and I don't think you could ever find someone more passionate about learning and teaching. He's greatly missed.
Don't forget south main auto and rainman ray! So many excellent mechanics are sharing priceless information on RUclips these days. You gotta know how to identify it and cherish it before it can help you. Thanks to any expert who takes the massive amount of time to produce RUclips videos to help us fools out. I'll give back with videos once I'm capable.
