If a backup plugin allows you to have previous versions of the full site, why would we need to have partial changes too?
Do you see a use case where the back up solution would fail us and wp reset be THE life savior?
Hey Laurent, most people or hosts take daily backups at most. If you have a backup solution that is taking backups each time you make a change to the site, wouldn’t need the automatic snapshot feature.
The emergency rescue and the ability to install a bundle of plugins with one click could still be valuable.
Great review and tutorial. On the last part where you showed the snapshot when you activated a new plugin. Does it also create snapshots when you change a plugin setting/option on the wp-admin console. For example on the shortpixel plugin if you changed some of the settings, would it create a snapshot. If so, is that on every change or there some other trigger? Thanks.

Thanks for this Dave! Question for you. When you upload a premium plugin to the WP Reset Cloud, and enter the key, does it keep that plugin up to date? Or will you have to do a round of updates once they are all installed?

Not settings! It it only installs the plugins and activates them.
Sounds like you'd be happier getting a site setup how you like it and then cloning it. There are a lot of tools to do this, Migrate Guru is great and All-In-One WP Migration is the most popular and works very well.

This is a great tool I definitely want this but I just bought a year of Backup Buddy. Would this be the same functionality as a backup solution with extra features like collections?
WP Reset themselves recommend using this along side a backup solution, not in place of one.
Snapshots are not full backups of your site. They're only the difference between two states. A snapshot is about 5mb in size.

Hi Keno -- I see WP Reset as a great tool for while you're building sites and testing configurations. It is not a backup plugin and you should still use a backup solution.
Dave, can we delete obsolete cron jobs which are left by some deleted plugins?

Why do you recommend still using a backup plugin (is there anything you recommend? ) I was looking for one and thought WPReset cover this feature ? Mayve we cannot schedules backups..? Have a great day ! Diane
Good question -. Snapshots aren’t full backups, only small files that allow you to roll back changes.
Hey, how do you get SSL on all your domains that you create for tutorials? Till now I was using cloudflare's free shared SSL but it is only available max up to 2 subdomains.
