A1 top notch +1 excellent excellent video! I’ve run this trail and you did a great job and showing what it’s about. I love the drone footage. I am still stuck on dash cam video for my channel videos but you have The footage and angles down to perfection. Tons of smoke in the air from the Colorado fires but it’s still beautiful. You know what this is all about! Thank you for sharing, love your channel!
thanks again so much Outlaw! your comments get me out of bed on the weekend for sure. just added your last 3 vids to my Watch Later yesterday. i’ve watched a bunch, don’t sell yourself short!
One of my favorite! I saw two elk but heads fighting over a female there a few years back. Their Clash echoed throughout the canyon and was absolutely amazing.
Excellent footage! That smoke is insane. Spooky almost!!! I hit this trail for the first time this year and loved it. Way cooler than I would have thought.
yea it’s sweet. it was Labor Day so i started the trail about 3:00, figured everyone would be done by then. i had about 15 people come down in the first mile and was pretty worried haha, then only saw 2 other people the rest of the day so it worked out.
I watched your rig walk around a few weeks ago and then stumbled across all these trail videos. I’ve done several in a Tundra and I just got an Xterra Pro4x. Glad to know it’ll take me to cool places. I was concerned about the ride height.
That corner is getting worse. Locker certainly helps. It looks weird with all the forest fire smoke. The last time we did it, when we were on top, we watched the clouds/fog move in from the Guenella side and pour over the top into the other valley. Could barely see past our hoods on the way back down.
thank you so much! since it’s the Offroad (which changed to Pro-4X) it has a factory rear locker which i did use on the last obstacle. it also has the apply-brake-to-spinning-wheel style traction control so it all works pretty well.
Love your videos. Was just curious if you use any heavy duty skid plates/armor or rock sliders if not is there a reason? And if so what would you recommend for protecting first? Just getting started in off roading thanks
B Roll Offroad I drive a 4th gen 4Runner with a minor lift and 32’s haven’t had any issues with body damage or under side but still a beginner :) just been sticking with some of the “easy” trails you have posted on RUclips and the highest I have done so far is a 4-5 from offroadtrails (Johnny park)
B Roll Offroad I ran it going uphill East to west and when I saw the first hard line I was a little nervous so I took the bypass but did all hard lines after but definitely wanna go back and take on the first one plus it was an awesome trail I think that’s the one that really got me hooked
In your description you said your tires are the km2's but the tread and side wall look like and say the k02's . . . also idk what size your x is running (either 265/70 r 16 or 285/70 r16 i'd wadger) but they make 265/70r16 ko2's albeit in a load range e which i've had on my x for about a 1000 miles. (i'll admit they are a rougher ride but I think i'm still happy with my decision going from the stock hankok dinapro atm's)
yea that’s old, i gotta change it. you’re correct they’re KO2’s currently in 285/75/16 but when these wear out going to switch back to 255/85/16 KM2’s.
@@BRollOffroad I didn't remember the ratio size of the top of my head (whether it was 70 or 75 for the pro4x). . . What's your reasoning for that size in the km2's if you don't mind my asking? Not the size i was really expecting to be chosen.
@@Nesten321 ASPW makes a case for skinnier tires putting more pressure down because it's same weight over a smaller area. i like them because they're a little taller and a little narrower and look a lot better imo. that specific size because they're the only 33's that they make. i liked the KM's better because they felt softer.
@@BRollOffroad ah ok . . . The skinnier tires is def thing if you are trying to get through the crust of stuff down to a hard bottom (in snow racing they use much narrower tires) but you will do worse staying on top of stuff. I get that with the softer ride . . . I was really suprized with how stiff the ride was taking the car home after getting the ko2's but i found out that they aired then up to 45 or 50 psi. It's a lot better but still stiffer running the load range e tires at 35 now (265/75 r16 whatever the stock p4x size is)
Hey so I'm a novice at offroading and brand new to Colorado springs. How do you know all of these trails and spots? Is it solely the books you linked or have you just been doing this a long time? Thanks for putting out cool content

B Roll Offroad
You make me think about doing some of my videos differently. You do such a great job.
One of my favorite! I saw two elk but heads fighting over a female there a few years back. Their Clash echoed throughout the canyon and was absolutely amazing.
damn, that’s awesome!
Excellent footage! That smoke is insane. Spooky almost!!! I hit this trail for the first time this year and loved it. Way cooler than I would have thought.
thank you! and yea, very cool trail that’s pretty close, did you do McClellan too?
B Roll Offroad yes we did McClellan too. It was cool. We should hit a trail sometime together
might take forever with both of us haha
@@BRollOffroad nah. I like to cruise. And sometimes I like to leave the cameras at home and just enjoy the ride.
@@Colorado4x4 yea that's a good call, let me know next time you're goin.
Wanting to get up there before the end of the season. Enjoyed the music, as well! Good luck to the band!
awesome i let him know, thanks for watching!
So cool ! That snow storm was a monster up there. Several feet.
thanks! it was great day 👍👍
Right on! One of my favorite trails!
thanks! glad you liked it!
that smoke is really thick!! looks like a great trail and not many people. Cheers mate, Grant.
yea it’s sweet. it was Labor Day so i started the trail about 3:00, figured everyone would be done by then. i had about 15 people come down in the first mile and was pretty worried haha, then only saw 2 other people the rest of the day so it worked out.
Absolutely perfect trip 🏴☠👍👍👍⛏💙
yea it was awesome, thanks again Pirate!

damn that’s crazy! sounds like a sight to see.
We can't more snow soon enough! Nice vid regardless.
i know! then it’s Moab time.
damn all the haze from the smoke is a sad vibe
totally. we were good for a couple
days but it’s back today.
I saw you at the pull off and yelled "love the channel"
at the beginning on the pavement? it took me a sec to register what you said but i waved after haha. i had 3 other people recognize me that day!
@@BRollOffroad yep that was me, haha, awesome video!
well thanks again bud!
B Roll is a Rockstar !!
Awesome video as always. Seriously truly appreciate all your work. Top Notch. Quick question... Do you run lockers front or rear on the Xterra? Thanks
thank you so much! since it’s the Offroad (which changed to Pro-4X) it has a factory rear locker which i did use on the last obstacle. it also has the apply-brake-to-spinning-wheel style traction control so it all works pretty well.
@@BRollOffroad Thanks. Keep killin' it out there. Much appreciated

i’m all stock in the protection category but i definitely want sliders and a bumper/winch. what vehicle do you have?

oh cool, Johnny Park is a fun trail, were you able to take the hard ways?

nice, it’s a good stepping stone trail for that reason 👍
Such a relaxing vid🤘great content 👌
thank you so much!
I love the song! What song is it? Been trying to find it and having no success
it’s Heated Bones - Doppelnamer
Super Smokey that day. That’s unfortunate.
i know! made for a unique experience but was definitely hard running around in, was kinda bummed on the views being wrecked though.
What drone is this? It's shot very well.
thank you! it’s the regular Mavic Pro with PolarPro ND 32.
What size tires are you running?
285/75/16 but once these wear out switching back to 255/85/16 KM2
@@BRollOffroad did they rub at all?
nah, you have to do the Melt Mod and then you’re good.

Why did you get rid of the roof rack on the Xterra?
our friendly neighbors Uptop Overland are prototyping one.. should be done this week!
@@BRollOffroad nice, excited to see it. Does it require removing the stock rack sections?
yea, full replacement. now sure how the front is going to work so i’m as excited as you are!
