  • Here we have the cLFO (complex low frequency oscillator) from AtoVproject and while making this a demo of the module I also wanted to make a tutorial for making the most of LFOs and Ring Modulation in a modular system. We've got patches showing LFO uses, multiple modulation destinations, ring modulating LFOs, ring mod as a VCA, ring mod for massive bass sounds ... give the patches a go!

    HARD SYNC
What I like with these sort of modulators is that they can create modulation sources that are really wild, but because they’re derived from other modulators they’re harmonious with those other modulators. So using all the outputs as modulators in a patch hits that sweet spot of chaotic synchronicity.

      Well said, thanks Alex.

Inspiring work. Thank you. LFO + ring modulation experiments await.😅

Yeah well worth exploring, Ring Modulation is massively under utilised for what it can do.

Hard Sync! Great video as always. Can’t wait to try some of the techniques you showed

adding ring mod to LFO is cool idea, but not adding sine outputs to LFO is not cool

I do like a sine wave LFO, but it's not the end of the world. So long as I have one without hard edges (i.e. square/saw etc) I can make it work.
