I’m aware many New World Translations in languages other than English are still boldly printed with ‘Bible’ on the front cover despite the original English version being curiously titled ‘Holy Scriptures’. As the organisation is US based my take on it is they guard themselves against unfavourable questions & litigation on their home turf with less concern elsewhere. There are regional differences. However the leaders of any religious group hold spiritual authority over all their followers so by extension everything and everyone that comes under their influence is tainted, unclean, defiled. ‘Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive any of her plagues;’ - Revelation 18:4
The purpose of this video is to make people question why a group who proudly called themselves 'International Bible Students' and still use the name to this day in official capacity wouldn't call their translation openly a Bible. Its weird and undoubtedly a spiritual thing. It may just be to appear clever and superior to other Bible translations and faith groups, to differentiate. However, I believe the real reason is more sinister. Perhaps the GB (or the demonic principality behind the organisation) believe they will be able to get away with changing the word of God on a technicality... oh look we called it 'holy scriptures' so no one mistakes it as the Holy Bible, Word of God. Thanks for watching!

At the end of the book of Revelation there are very serious warnings for those who misuse it. It would be better not to violate them.
The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy.
That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our beloved ones again! :-)

@@AlexejSvirid The actual warning at the very end of revelation is for those who add or take away from what is written in the bible. There are actually many versions that do this but the NWT is so bad it cannot be considered a version, but a perversion of the written word of God.

While I agree that the New World Translation version of the bible Is the most twisted/forged (regarding the interlinear since we have no originals) the several SELECTED (by whom? = Nicea Concil) narratives and letters that have been called the bible (WAY later on) are actually all called Holy Scriptures by Christians (who before this given denomination were just called Jesus Christ disciples).
Still, I believe that there's no mention of holy scriptures in the scriptures in question, unless anyone wants to acknowledge 2 Tim 3:15 talking about Saint "Letters" which doesn't really mean the same... (letters are letters). The thing is that "Saint" meaning (in those scriptures) is not to be understood as sacred but sound minded = well inspired (holy spirited).
Also, what the apostles & Jesus were calling the scriptures was the written Jew people story including their laws according to Jesus for instant in John 10:34 quote "Jesus replied, “Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’? Referring to Psalm 82:6.
So then what is 2 Tim 3:16 (following the verse 15) is talking about for real? That's a bold statement (when we can see the contradictions). That's the all thing... We still need to use discernment ANYWAY (or we are doomed to fall for imposters and forged versions of scriptures). I mean, it's just common sense.

You have it backwards. The word Bible was added. It's Latin for book or books. The biblical scholar F. F. Bruce notes that John Chrysostom appears to be the first writer (in his Homilies on Matthew, delivered between 386 and 388 CE) to use the Greek phrase ta biblia ("the books") to describe both the Old and New Testaments together. Calling it Holy Scriptures is actually what it really is.

While the English version has "the Holy Scriptures" in it's title(compare what Paul called the Jewish sacred books in his day - Romans 1.2), on the JW web site you can read the following:
      "Online *Bible*
"Read and listen to the *Bible* online, or download free audio recordings and sign-language videos of the *Bible* . The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures is an accurate, easy-to-read translation of the *Bible* . It has been published in whole or in part in over 210 languages. More than 240 million copies have been produced."
I have a hard copy of course. Exactly the same as the video maker holds up for us to see. If she had simply turned to it's foreword on page 39 it there says the NWT of the Holy Scriptures is a "Bible". It also refers to it's translation team as the "New World Bible Translation Committee." There are several other statements that clearly show the NWT is a Bible. Included is a "Glossary of Bible Words" on p.1692. And on p.1718 "Principles of Bible Translation." It then describes those principles the translators of the NWT adhered to. I could go on with other places in the NWT but the above should suffice for my purpose!
Did the video maker not even bother to look inside her copy? (Yet she claims she was "born and raised" as JW and was one until 2021!)
In addition there are literally hundreds and hundreds of times in the JW literature, in the English language, the NWT is called a Bible!
So the English version calls itself a Bible. So the comment by the video maker is a total misrepresention and includes, therefore, demonstrably false(and silly) allegations. Would you expect this from a true follower of Jesus Christ?
Of course, there are many non-JW sources that call the NWT a Bible. For example, Harper's Bible Dictionary in its article "The English Bible" in a section "Modern Translations" says "Many major translations of the Bible into English have appeared in the United States and Great Britain.........the Jehovah's Witnesses' New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures(1961)..."- page 267 (I own a copy of this work).
My advice is to be careful where you get your information from. -Please read Proverbs 14.15; 15.7; 18.17. Hope this helps.

      Here is Christ's question
Mathew 15: 3: "But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"
Malachi 2: 1-4: "And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it. And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts."
A women say "the Husband has no name". Another ones say "the Husband has many names". Some of women "love the Husband in all his manifestations" like: neighbour, taxi driver, coworker...
But, all of those prostitutes say "the Husband is the only".
Then they even talk about "trinity of the Husband" and they are not against "the Son taking the Husband's place".
In the same way religious prostitutes try to hide their disgusting fornication with different gods.
Furthermore, a correct pronunciation of the Name is unknown now. This is the “loyalty” of traitors!
Here is the God's word spoken through Moses,
Deuteronomy 11: 16-17: "Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; And then the LORD's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you."
So, the God says there are other gods, but blind leaders of blind lead people into trap.
"Jesus" means "Jehovah is salvation". This is the name of Christ real christians are hated for.
      "HalleluJah" means "Praze Jah" (Jehovah).
Psalm 83: 18: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."
The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why liers feel so good while righteous people are persecuted.

The Fear Factor has one running to their WT daddies and big siblings for comfort and reassurance that should you ever leave, whoa! That’s it for you! This creates the Great Dependence while you pretend you’re loved and special yet you swallow down that fear and gut feeling something is terribly wrong. This is a C/P from another video...
JW's need Jesus? 1. Jesus instructed his True followers to pray: "OUR Father in the heavens let YOUR NAME be sanctified..." Jesus also stated: "My food is to do the will of him who sent me..." (John 4:32, 34). There are TOO many, too many Scriptures identifying it is God, Jehovah (that enunciation has been made clear more recently as accurate, not Yahweh). Gods name appears close to seven thousand times in the Hebrew Scriptures, all in praiseworthy ways. God is first. Jesus is second, as he is Gods only begotten son. Jesus put God first, so did his followers (1 Cor 11:3). But the first Christians' job was to make the ransom believable and so Jesus was mentioned many times, but they never ignored that God was the reason for life. JW's acknowledge Jesus' Memorial is the most important gathering day of the year, and every prayer is in Jesus' name. 2. "own material." First century Christians, the first Christians, didn't only quote Jesus nor the Hebrew Scriptures, but they use illustrations, parables, examples, the power of reason, to reach and find those with the right heart condition (Phi 4:5; Titus 3:2; Jam 3:17; Acts 17:2 and many more). Since today's Christians can't add more books to the Bible, REASON says to follow the path of Jesus's disciples and Reason with everyone, and with themselves, "from the Scripture," as they did from Jesus and the Hebrew Scriptures. JW's use their publications as sources to reason with others, as today's world has many, many differences and problems than the times of Jesus and the ancient Hebrews. "Their" Bible is simply another translation and transliteration, the ONLY way to see who has the correct version is up to the honest hearted humble individuals to examine. Without God, there is no creation, no life, and Gods name was found some seven thousand times in the Hebrew Scriptures. His name was never meant to be removed. 3. I don't mean any offense, I I wont use belittling words, but as you guys went about Rev 21:22-24, where is your power of reason? It is very clear the Lamb and God are two separate beings working together. :22 states God and the Lamb are the temple but it says ALSO the Lamb is (two separate beings), much the same as a CEO and a GM are both the same in goal and purpose but are two different beings. "The glory of God illuminated it..." Is it really not clear to you guys that it is Gods power and glory that has given the Lamb his light, since all authority in all creation (God was not created so he can't be under this authority) was GIVEN to Jesus? The CEO's guidance (or light) comes or shines through the GM, it is that simple and obvious. Jesus is the light, but God is the ultimate source. It is really that simple, and your twisting of Gods word is why so many people turn away from God and even hate God. You confuse the masses. 4. I wont keep watching because in just three (3) minutes I have proven through the power of reason and Scripture your points wrong but I will finish with this. Unity. And again, I mean no offense and will stick with the evidence and reason. You guys don't have a unified body of "ministerial servants," no "overseers," or "elders" or "disciples" world wide, do you? Unless I missed it somehow? Because God has always had a unified "people for his name" (Acts 15:14-18), Starting with ancient Israel (even starting with Abraham) all the way to first century (and somewhat into the second) Christians. Unity is a requirement from God, and we READ about it and know of it in Gods written word. Only "in the last days" would true worship of God return (Isaiah 2:2-4; Daniel 12:7-10; Acts 15:14-18...). First century Christians (as I said above also somewhat into the second) did not posses any idols to assist them in prayer nor for any reason, they prayed Only to God (not to saints or angels) and in Jesus' name, they abstained from blood, they remained neutral politically and never supported war in any way, they did NOT believe Jesus was God (unless you twist Gods word and stick with false traditions) and made it clear (Philippians 2:6; Col 1:5; Heb 1:3; John 1:4 and throughout all the Christian Scriptures), and in in the face of powerful apposition they kept preaching the good news of Gods kingdom. They were hated, persecuted and tortured for their beliefs, for their righteous acts ("faith without works is dead" stated James). They were ALL unified throughout the Roman empire where they had built/made/settled congregations. 5. You see, the evidence of Gods holy spirit is evident in JW's, and it is Not their own doing, it is Gods word that must be fulfilled, it is Gods prophesy that must be fulfilled. You guys spite JW's, but simultaneously are working against God. Jehovah is his name, do some research, and I mean honest research. Humble yourselves. "The Great Tribulation" will soon come, just take a look around the wicked and disastrous world for the evidence. And, "unless those days were cut short, no one would live...but on account of the holy ones" they will be cut short. That means, Gods people must also live through that tribulation. Had I responded to the whole video, I would have written ten times as long a response. Peace.......

I was born and raised Jehovah’s Witness , and on Aug 12th, 2021, I prayed to Jehovah letting him know how much this religion has hurt my heart. Since I was born I’ve been told that God was going to destroy all who were not witnesses. I couldn’t do it anymore I prayed to God letting him know all the damage this religion has done in my life....I told God that all I wanted was his love not paradise especially knowing all the non-witnesses that I loved were dead and I would gladly give my life in exchange for my children that are not witnesses. I told him I could no longer assist meetings because this religion is making me think badly of him. I remember yelling in my head how I couldn’t understand how a loving God could do this knowing our imperfections...I was sobbing, overwhelmed with grief when all of a sudden I had a thought of : I would never hurt anyone. I felt it down to my bones, I instantly calmed down and felt at peace. That night as I was laying down, my whole body started with intense waves of vibration, I started to sit up and it kept going, then I just had this knowing not be afraid and I just relaxed and immediately I started seeing all these lights and I was in a tunnel of light. I kept thinking if my husband turned around I was going to be sparkling! Then I was inside of this most amazing light that was filling me with so much love, fractals of light were coming towards me and all I could hear was I love you, you are loved over and over again. I felt all the pain and hate and hurt melt from my core, I was just floating there in unimaginable love and bliss, I remember being asked if I wanted to stay and I thought of my kids and then it just melted away and I was sitting in bed. I was drunk with Gods love for 2 weeks, I was healed from a full body skin illness I had been suffering for 3 years. I haven’t been back to any meetings since. Haven’t spoken to any elders about what happened just my mom and husband her reaction was not surprising, immediately told me to talk to an elder. I know they will say it was demonic, but how can a love so complete not be from something so pure? Because of this experience, I started researching and was blown away by THOUSANDS of accounts of others who have had this out of body experience called NDE or STE, I’m telling you it’s mind blowing how death has been held over us. Everyone says the same thing: God is not Judging us WE are!!! I still pray and feel Gods Holy Spirit with me something I had never felt in the Kingdom Hall! I just want others to know that God is not in the religious buildings/kingdom hall he is in our hearts everywhere we go, always. He does not give us the spirit of fear, anything in the Bible that causes fear is a misinterpretation. Jesus came to free us from the lies and it’s happening again, we are the new scrolls...the countless witnesses of how religions are a snare! Jesus said it was done! He didn’t say now we have to follow another religions rules to inherit the kingdom! My Father and I share the same will that ALL WILL BE SAVED!

Whoever told you that God was going to destroy all who were not witnesses.....KNOW THIS, that statement is not Biblical and is not found anywhere in God's Word. If anyone ever tells you that again, ask them where in the Bible (without that person twisting the meaning of scripture). Don't let anyone intimidate you and spout lies and deception. The Bible does tells us that God is not far from us and if we seek Him, He will find us. So when you reached out to God, He graciously responded....you felt peace and value... that's the power of God, the transforming power of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you haven't, please read Titus 3:4-7...powerful verses that tell us Jesus forgives us and grants us eternal life, not because of anything we've done, but by His grace & mercy.
Please explain what you meant that "all will be saved." If you mean that all who repent of their sins and place their complete trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ, I do agree with you. Thank you for reading and replying

However, I decided to delve into it this year and realized I had placed too much trust in them. It broke my heart to discover Watchtower’s relationship with the UN and that the New World Translation was manipulated to match the doctrine. The Organization also appears to be doubling down concerning children, especially in terms of covering up CSA, child indoctrination, and baptizing at younger ages. It's one thing to disagree with doctrines such as 1914 or the 144,000, but what we are learning about now are unforgivable offenses.

Zechariah is of course Old Testament. Most English bibles use the Septuagint as the basis for the Old Testament, which is a Hebrew to Greek to English translation. But the good news is you can easily find the original Hebrew text (or the Tanakh as the Jewish call it... and yes there are still many active Jewish people. Many live in a country called Israel). Online you can find many direct Hebrew to English translations or you can learn Hebrew for yourself and read it. Hebrew text from the Tanakh has never changed and never will. You can't get anymore accurate than the original Hebrew text. And anyone can access it.
Why would JW's need to alter the English translation? No Orthodox Jew will read a Greek translation of the original Hebrew and claim the translation to be better than the original.
Zechariah - Chapter 12:10 - (Hebrew --> English): And I will pour out upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplications. And they shall look to me because of those who have been thrust through [with swords], and they shall mourn over it as one mourns over an only son and shall be in bitterness, therefore, as one is embittered over a firstborn son.

There are many English Bible translations that *agree* with the NWT at Zechariah 12.10. The NWT reads: "...and they will look to *the one whom* they pierced, and they will wail over him as they would wail over an only son."
Here are some that translate the same way..
"They will look at *the one* they stabbed to death."- The Bible in Living English, Byington
"They will look at *him* they have pierced."- Living Bible, Taylor
"They will look at *the one* whom they stabbed to death."- Todays English Version
"They will look at *the one* whom they have pierced."- The Jerusalem Bible
"They shall look on *whom* they have thrust through."- New American Bible.
"They shall look on *him* whom they stabbed."- Moffatt
"They shall look at *him whom* they have stabbed."- American Translation, Goodspeed
"They shall look upon *Him* who they have pierced."- Modern language Bible
"When they look on *whom* they have pierced."- Revised Standard/New Revised Standard Version
"Their eyes will be turned to *the one* who was wounded."- Bible in Basic English
"When they see *the one* they pierced with a spear."- Contemporary English Bible
"They shall look upon *HIM*¹ Whom they pierced."- The Complete Bible in Modern English, F. Fenton.
Are all of the above "doomed" too? Please note that two of the above are *Catholic* translations.

Despite the abomination that is the NWT there are some passages that remain relatively intact in that they point people to our only hope of salvation. Acts 4:10-12 is one such passage.
"let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that in the name of Jesus Christ the Naz·a·reneʹ, whom you executed on a stake but whom God raised up from the dead, by means of him this man stands here healthy in front of you. This is ‘the stone that was treated by you builders as of no account that has become the chief cornerstone.’ FURTHERMORE, THERE IS NO SALVATION IN ANYONE ELSE, FOR THERE IS NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN THAT HAS BEEN GIVEN AMONG MEN BY WHICH WE MUST GET SAVED.”

Had been going to my hubby's parents baptist Church which always made me feel guilty that I shouldn't be there but also comforted because I needed to feel God in my life so desperately. Just recently I finally brought myself to research outside of JW text. And I was so blown away by all the lies deceit and wrongdoing in the organization I was almost sick to my stomach just like someone told me everything you ever believed in was a lie . But I did not ask God why why he let me wander for so long. I found out why when I started to pray for his guidance and telling him I just want to be with him again and serve him the way he wants to be served and if he would show me and help me back on the path to him that I would draw closer to him. If course I started drawing closer to him immediately I didn't wait but he quickly showed me the more I searched for truth. Last sun I went to a church I had gone to a few times before and I had a pastor pray over me as I accepted Jesus as my savior. And ya know I don't recall the elders praying over me ever to help me get closer to God just cut me off and happened to be after my dad passed too. Anyway I felt the holy Spirit on me as he prayed and I took my first communion.

It was God the Father who resurrected Jesus. At John 2.19 Jesus did not mean he would resurrect himself but because of dying faithfully, he himself laid the basis on which God can resurrect him. This answer to his opposers here was enigmatic and the rule is that the straightforward texts should determine the meaning of the ambiguous or enigmatic. When this rule is applied, all the times that NT writers says who resurrected Jesus, always the Father, shows Jesus did not mean he would resurrect himself. Romans 8.11 says it was "the spirit of *him* " who resurrected Jesus from the dead. It is the spirit of God the *Father* , not a seperate *person* from the person of the Father here. Hence, I am decided. Decided against a Trinitarian three-person god who raised Jesus but that God the Father did.

John Chapter One, Verse One is sufficient objection concerning Jehovah's Witnesses. The Interlinear Translation - which shows the original wording - clearly
shows that this organization modifies scripture. This is all one needs to say to a Jehovah's Witness: "Your organization modifies scripture." If they object, simply
point them to John Chapter One, Verse One as it is in the Interlinear Bible:
    • NASB: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
    • Jehovah's Witnesses: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a God.
Jehovah's Witnesses inserts the indefinite article "a" to assert that Jesus is merely one of many gods. I asked an "elder," "How many gods do you think there
are?" He replied, "I don't know."
Isaiah Chapter Five, Verse Twenty: "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"
Ecclesiastes Chapter Ten, Verse Two: "A wise man’s heart directs him toward the right, but the foolish man’s heart directs him toward the left."
The Gospel of John, Chapter 8, Verse 12: "...I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in ... darkness ...." ✝

It is evident you are ignorant in the original Greek of the 1st century, and your referring to the interlinear translation shows this. The NWT has correctly understand the function of the anarthrous theos here at John 1.1c. It is to describe and not to identify the subject of the clause. Let me enlighten you in this.
The anarthrous predicate theos of John 1 1c is not definite. It is here, at John 1.1c, a 'what' word, not a 'who' word. It is being used as a common noun rather than being specific(not ho theos). This is why some translate "the Word was divine." See the translations by James Moffatt or Edgar Goodspeed as examples of translators who opted for this. This translation, though it can be disagreed with, as there existed a word meaning "divine", at least indicates that certain scholars are trying to show that John did not mean the logos "was God", that John was saying SOMETHING ELSE. John Mckenzie, in his Bible Dictionary, says John 1.1c "should rigorously be translated the Logos was a divine being"
This is an indefinite translation as the NWT's is. As the English word "God" is a proper noun, it is definite, and so it is incorrect to translate the anarthrous theos *in this sentence construct* as if it is. See Harners 1975 article in the JBL. Neither is the indefinite rendering polytheistic as a Jewish writer at this time, 1st century CE, such as John, could describe a being not ho theos but as theos and not denote polytheism if that theos is not a rival to or independent of the one true theos. (John says who the one true God is at 17.3. The Father). John distinguishes the Word of 1.1c from ho theos, the god, "God" of 1.1b in terms of theos. The Translator's NT says this is significant and gives the theos of 1.1c adjectival qualities. It hence does not translate the third clause "was God" but "shared his nature". This is not strictly a translation but an interpretative one but it will show you that "was God" does not accurately say what John wrote in his third clause. The New American Bible Study Edition in a note to John 1.1c correctly says that the anarthrous theos here is one of predication not identification. The English proper noun "God" is one of identification. It is an erroneous translation. It does not distingiush the Word from the theos he was "with"(Greek pros). John wrote that the Word was with ho theos, the god, "God" and then to go on to translate theos of 1.1c as "God" hides this distinction John himself makes and in fact smacks of Sabellianism. So what options in translation are there? Translating it with a proper noun(specific) is, from the above wrong. It is inaccurate. But what is the difference between an adjectival(ie such as "divine")and an indefinite (" a god") translation really? What is the difference between "I am human" and "I am a human being"? If I have the qualities of the class "human" that would make me a member of the class human, a human. If I am a human I would have the qualities of the human class, be human. John was putting the Word or Logos in the class theos, a member of that class or category, not identifying him as ho theos("God"). The NWT is perfectly correct to translate theos indefinitely at John 1.1c. It is the definite translations of theos in 1.1c which are erroneous and why others have given interpretative translations instead. See New English Bible/Revised English Bible, Good New Bible as examples of this approach, an approach that acknowledges John did not write "was God" at this place. (But they still wish it to accord with the man made post-NT Trinity doctrine)
Here is a little grammatical exercise for you. Substitute the word anthropos in John 1.1 instead of theos which is the Greek word(in the nominative case of course) for "man". Then translate all three clauses. I am positive you would translate the anarthrous predicate in the third clause *indefinitely* as "a man" not "the Man".

Hello, former JWs! Welcome to the Christian faith! It is WONDERFUL to see so many of you getting free from the Watchtower! I am overjoyed!
Let me recommend a couple of translations for you, which you will find both trustworthy and readable. One is a modern translation, for those who prefer that, and one is an "archaic" English translation, for those who prefer that.
The modern one is the Legacy Standard Bible (LSB) which is a careful revision of the New American Standard (NASB) 1995 edition. The interesting thing about the LSB is that instead of using "LORD" in the Old Testament, they use Yahweh (probably the most reasonable guess at His Name in English).
The older one is the Darby translation (JND), done in the 1800s, and they used "Jehovah" for His Name.
Not that any of the ones this dear lady mentioned are BAD, quite the contrary, but I thought you might enjoy a translation that doesn't disguise the Lord's name behind the "LORD" used by most translations.

I appreciate your recommendations. I’ve come to realise the exact pronunciation is hidden for a reason - the fact being the name that saves is of course Jesus Christ the Nazarene. So really that needs to be the focus. Obsessing about the tetragrammaton is a distraction technique from the good news about Jesus Christ that saves. Really Witnesses should be Witnesses of JESUS not Jehovah.

In the end it doesnt matter, because all bibles are from ancient men claiming experiences with God rather than God himself speaking to humanity. If one studies the bible neutrally without any prior religious bias it becomes far more reasonable to believe this than an omnipotent omnibenevolent , all seeing being- which we cannot prove. Why would he reveal himself in such fashion? Look at all the confusion, division and evil that has come about through the bible. Just that shows it is not truth, certainly not from a loving God who would want to make truth plain to his creation.

Fake bible? Interesting…Let’s see how Christians have deliberately altered the Hebrew Scriptures well before any translations made by christian sects shall we?
    1. Isaiah 9:6. Christians use this verse to prove that the holy messiah was/is divine BUT they do so by using dishonest translations of the original Hebrew. In Christian bibles the verse is translated as:
“For a child shall be born to us, a son shall be given to us; and the government shall rest on his shoulders; and his name will be called Wonderful counselor, mighty God, eternal father, Prince of Peace.”
This is a dishonest translation from the original Hebrew. All the verbs in this passage have been changed from the perfect tense to the future tense. Every other occurrence of these same verbs in these same forms in the Christian Bible are translated in the perfect tense. So why only here are they rendered in the future tense?
    2.) Psalm 2:12
“Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.”
    Hebrew translation of Psalm 2:12
“Arm yourselves with purity lest He be angry and ye perish from the way when His wrath is kindled but a little.”The Hebrew word for purity which can also be found in psalm 18:21, 18:25, 18:9 looks and is pronounced very much like the Aramaic word for son but is not translated as such in the Christian bible except for its occurrence in psalm 2:12. While there is some Aramaic language in the Hebrew bible, there is none, none at all, in the entirety of the Psalms. It’s all in Hebrew. So why would there be just one Aramaic word used in a text that entirely written in Hebrew? The answer is somebody is dishonestly translating scripture to buttress a theological narrative. The proof of this is the Hebrew occurrence of son 5 verses earlier 2:7. In psalm 2:7 (another verse often quoted by Christians via the gospel of Matthew) the Hebrew word son is used (Ben not the Aramaic word Bar) and is translated as such in the Christian Bible.
As to “kiss”, the Hebrew word is nashku. It is the command form of neshek which is a homonym in Hebrew. It can mean to kiss or to arm similar to English there and their or aunt and ant. Guess which translation the clever Christians used?
3.) Psalm 22:16. Supposedly explicitly describes the crucifixion of Christ
...dogs have encompassed me, a company of evil doers have enclosed me. They pierced my hands and my feet.
BUT in the original Hebrew it doesn’t say this. King David is speaking in the first person about himself. The last part says in Hebrew “ like a lion my enemies are at my hands and my feet” In the Christian Bible they have deleted “like a lion” replacing it with “they” and add the verb “pierced”
Everywhere else in the Bible where this phrase “like a lion” occurs in the Hebrew Bible (psalm 7, Psalm 17, Numbers 23,24, Ezekiel 22, Isaiah 38:13, ) it is translated as such in the Christian Bible. Why all of a sudden in this passage is it translated as “pierced”?
For more examples of dishonesty in the Christian “word of God” see rabbi Tovia Singer’s youtube channel or go to outreachjudaism.org
Christians have been lying for 2000 years and wreaking havoc on the world stage. It’s well past time this false religion is held to account for its crimes well documented in history!

No one can sue anyone for using Bible if they disagree with their theology. That’s ridiculous. They are the sacred holy scriptures that God’s word contains and can rightly be called that whether you agree with the witnesses or not.

Respects John 1.1c and the third clause. First, look at Acts 28.4 in the interlinear and in most if not all English Bibles. The Greek sentence construct there is exactly the same as in John 1.1c. What do you find? That the anarthrous predicate has been translated indefinitely, "a murderer".
Now, for a deeper look into this kind of sentence. Please read the following carefully and if you have any questions please just ask.
The anarthrous predicate theos of John 1 1c is not definite. It is here, at John 1.1c, a 'what' word not a 'who' word. John Mckenzie in his Bible Dictionary says John 1.1c "should rigorously be translated the Logos was a divine being"
This is an indefinite translation as the NWT's is. As the English word "God" is a proper noun it is definite and so it is incorrect to translate the anarthrous theos *in this sentence construct* as if it is.
I am positive you would translate the anarthrous predicate theos in the third clause *indefinitely* as "a god" not "God".
      ᾿Εν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ ἄνθρωπος
καὶ ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν καὶ θεὸς
      ἦν ὁ ἄνθρωπος
      A word-for-word translation is:
In beginning was the man and the man was with the god and god was the man
      A full translation would be:
In the beginning was the man and the man was with God and the man was a god.
      Not
In the beginning was the man and the man was with God and the man was God
No one would translate it like this as no man is "God" but a man can be "a god". See Ps.82.5; John 10.33. Of course, the man is said to be "with God" and no one reading this would think that the man and God are not different beings but the man was not the God he was with. Likewise in John 1.1b, and v.2 where it is repeated, the Logos was "with God". Contextually and grammatically the best and simplest way to translate John 1.1c is "and the Word was a god."
Some trinitarians will try to say theos in 1.1c is purely "qualitative". But at the same time they claim the Word has the qualities of ho theos, of THE God. So they still consider here theos is definite which they deny! There is no such thing in the Greek as a qualitative noun that is also a concrete noun as theos is. There are abstract nouns but they are not definite and hence are not capitalised when translated into English. See 1 John 4.8 where "God is love." So if John was using theos in 1.1c qualitatively one would still translate as "a god" because a being with the qualities of theos, not ho theos, would have the qualities of a member of that class and those qualities naturally flow from the indefinite rendering into English as "a god" just as they would do when reading of a being who is said to be "a man." A reader would know all the qualities, human qualities, that a being that was "a man" would have. Likewise with the Logos or Word being theos(not ho theos).

On John 17:3 a number of scholars note that the sense of the word used in the original Greek involves something more, a continuous process, one that may even lead to intimate acquaintance with another.
“GINŌSKŌ (γινώσκω) signifies to be taking in knowledge, to come to know, recognize, understand, or to understand completely.” (Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, W. E. Vine) James Hope Moulton states: “The present simplex, γινώσκειν, is durative, ‘to be taking in knowledge.’”-A Grammar of New Testament Greek.
A Grammatical Analysis of the Greek New Testament explains gi·no′sko as it appears at John 17:3 as “implying a continuous process.” A further comment on this Greek word appears in Word Studies in the New Testament, by Marvin R. Vincent. This says: “Eternal life consists in knowledge, or rather the pursuit of knowledge, since the present tense marks a continuance, a progressive perception.” (Italics his.) A. T. Robertson’s Word Pictures in the New Testament suggests translating the word “should keep on knowing.”
Therefore, in the original Greek, Jesus’ words at John 17:3 imply continuous effort to get to know the true God and his Son, Jesus Christ, and this is well brought out in the rendering of the New World Translation.

No. I believed once too. Raised Catholic. Searched in early life, went to JWs. Love bombing then fear then control of everything and everyone. Jesus came into my life and I was freed from WT. Jesus never leaves. I need no religion of man. No more cults. Jesus said to follow no man. ❤

Please hear me: I don’t think JWs are hated. They are annoying and their prophecies and doctrines are false. The people are just trying to be good people with morals. However, any “hatred” or intense danger lurks with the Governing Body. I’m sure you have researched them. Nine New York business men who use religion as a front for tax-exempt purposes. I for one do not hate a person’s Faith. That is a person’s Right. However, when a body of men keep children (or adults) from having blood for the absolute necessity to live, that is criminal. To protect pedophiles while disassociating victims and not abiding by the laws of the land, that is criminal. Please investigate further. If a person chooses a Faith and keeps the control of their own minds and decisions, fine. JWs as people are not hated by me at least, but the GB who runs the cult is terribly disrespected and dangerous.

If the Catholic church is not the most hated religion/sect of all time please show otherwise - also ponder the following…
History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time, growing in numbers of hundreds of “inspired” NT writings.
Therefore, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved it by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us who did? And if this church no longer exists today, what good is the text which came forth from her if she couldn't sustain herself?

@@srich7503 Jesus and the Apostles are historic facts. That disciples wrote scrolls was to relieve them of the memories and pass forward the facts. No one has experienced what they lived and died. In our time, we call them memoirs, journals, testaments. There was no word “Bible” which means bibliography. They wrote as inspired. That good monks or followers or archeologists pieced things together is no different from scientists piecing together the puzzle of life. The point is not whether or not to be a Catholic, it is to find a place where you feel at peace to learn of Jesus. Never follow men, you know that.

Zechariah 8:23 is also a terrible mistranslation . All other bibles use the singular sense . The JW Bible is in the plural sense . The JWs want their Bible to point to an organization that people in the end times will cling to . … Horrible .

    • @brucebarnard

I've looked at the Hebrew, and the personal pronouns are plural, not singular in number. While most English translations render it as "you," this English pronoun can be singular or plural in number, and context will show if it is or not. Some English translations have the determiner "every", with the word "Jew" hence, "every Jew" and the "you" in that translation would refer back to these, this group, a number more than two, not just to one. I can not see then how you have concluded the NWT here at Zechariah 8.23 is "horrible"!?

    • @davidbenik8838
      @davidbenik8838 Месяц назад +1

Hebrew has singular pronouns . The subject here is a “Jew” singular , to which all nations will take hold of the skirt of a Jew. This is a prophecy . This is very specific and cannot possibly refer to 8 old dudes in New York as the “ Jew” since God was speaking to the nation of Israel in Zechariah chapter 8 and they were still in a covenant relationship with God . The WT has consistently referred this prophecy to “ their “ anointed class in the 20Th century as being fulfilled in them . Prophecy points to Jesus . This scripture was clearly fulfilled in Jesus , a Jew , who clearly had a crowd always following him .

@@davidbenik8838I know Hebrew has singular pronouns! But they are plural in v.23! You then have ignored my points, including that the pronouns are plural, not singular. Obviously you did not know this and have not even looked at the Hebrew even now. So the fact that 'a Jew' is the literal meaning of the Hebrew, it is being used as a collective term, meaning "every Jew" as many English translations make clear. In conclusion then, you have failed to show that the NWT is "horrible." It is no doubt because of your dislike of the JW religion that you have a prejudiced blinded mind to the actual Hebrew text.

The NWT excludes Jesus by adding “ you people” . This is a horrible disgrace against the Son of God which WT is notoriously disrespectful and always puts themselves at equal with “Jehovah” by saying if you leave the organization , you are leaving “Jehovah”. If salvation is attained by listening to the “ faithful and discreet slave “ then WT is saying the governing body is another mediator between God and men . There is only ONE mediator between God and men , a man Jesus Christ .

You want to talk about how the witnesses "took away" the doctrine of the trinity in their Bible. To be honest, they didn't Change or take away anything having to do with the trinity. Jesus or the disciples never taught it in the first place. The Trinity doctrine started Centuries later at the council of Nicaea in 325 CE with Emporer Constantine. He added that which didn't belong in the bible. The doctrine of the trinity.

The english word "Bible" came from the word Ta biblia (Koine Greek) Which simply means "The Books". The word "Scriptures" Simply means a body of writings Considered Sacred. So it doesn't matter if you call it "The Holy Bible", or "The Holy Scriptures".

I'm afraid there is very little in your "not calling it a Bible ". Simply because that is what you prefer to call it does not make a case that it is a red flag because others dont call it what you prefer. It simply means " the book or book" .Going further back the same word also means scroll or parchment. What were these books? Scriptures ?
Other publishers call this collection of books " The Scriptures " ( Institute for Scripture Research )
If you must make a "conspiracy case " against one publisher not calling it a Bible will you continue your logic against others who do not call it "Holy "
Why do some call it "The Bible " and some " The Holy Bible " ..which is better to have the word "Holy " in the title or to have the word " Bible".
This conspiracy theory ( and it is nothing more)
Your assertion that it is not called The Bible because somebody could sue ( who?) has no place in fact. Unless you can prove a case of this nature otherwise and I would be genuinely interested to hear.

1:06 -- lady, the Bible is a public-domain document. This means that in principle, anyone can re-edit it exactly as they please, maybe even grossly distort it, and yet nobody could ever SUE them if they published the resulting text with "Bible" on the cover. In Western democracies at least, no secular court could ever ban the publication of any Bible version on the grounds of it being "inaccurate" or even deliberately altered. In the name of free speech, any publisher can alter it all they like without breaking any laws. Informed people wouldn't take such a "Bible" seriously, that is all.

Jesus didn’t use the word “Old Testament” when relating to what we all now call it, Old Testament. To be fair, I don’t think it’s a great argument for whether we use the term “Bible” or “Holy Scriptures.” There are other Christian publishers that don’t use the word “Bible” in their translations. The word “Bible” literally means “The Books.” Would be wrong for then to call a translation, “The Books.” I’m only arguing the point in fairness. ❤️

3:52 - John 17:3 NWT "coming to know you" Reference "Taking in knowledge". Taking in knowledge is the same thing as getting to know someone. If you walk up to a person you've never met before and introduc yourself to that person and they do the same in return, you gained knowledge of that person's name. As you can get to talking, you're getting to know them. You're taking in knowledge of them. Just like I took in knowledge of the fact that you don't know what the hell you're talking about. I also noticed how you read the entire verse in the NWT, but only the first part of it in the other translations. Even though (after reading the whole verse for myself in the other versions you mentioned), they are similar to what the NWT is saying.

Quote: "...it's not called the Bible, it's called the Holy Scripture..."
    They do very well.
The word "bible" does not describe the content of the text. This is a text recording format. There were various recording formats: stone tablets, animal skin, papyri, scrolls. In the 4th century, "Biblon" (Greek name) was created. These are sheets of paper connected together in various ways. Today we know it as "Books" At that time, the most frequently copied "Biblon" was the Holy Scriptures. That is why the Holy Scriptures began to be colloquially called the "Bible".
Today, these two terms are used interchangeably. If someone tries to find bad intentions because the word "Bible" was used or not, I think it's flapping. And if you say that they don't use the word "Bible" because they know that they will deceive everyone. Please...don't be guffy
