How to Get to Culebra When There's No Ferry?

- With the number of ferries that travel between Puerto Rico's Ceiba Landing & Culebra, we thought booking a last-minute seat for 6 would be a cinch...Wrong! Maybe it was Covid, maybe it was the time of year (April), who knows? The important thing is that when I went on the site a week before our trip and saw no tix, I had a mild panic. I HAD to get to Culebra - it was on my snorkel bucket list! No fear, there's always a way to get there without breaking the bank. Just watch the video and find out!

Quick question, did you leave a rental car at the airport and then have to get back to it from the ferry? If so, how $ was that? I see a two-mile walk on Google through a deserted old military base. At midday, my two teens with backpack luggage may not hup-to.
Hey! Thanks for the view - yes, we left it there at the airport. There are taxi drivers waiting at the ferry dock who will take you for $10. I took the taxi, then returned for the other 5 people. It's really close, maybe 5 minutes away from the airport.
What an amazing island! (Hope we get to see some of the activities and amenities of the island in future videos?)

Yeah I took the ferry for like $7 round trip .. ferry took about 45 mins I think .. I forget but wasn’t long at all ..
When we went, we were unable to secure tickets on the boat beforehand. We did take the ferry back, though.
I heard terrible things regarding 75 % ppl puking because of how rough it is

Thank you for sharing this amazing video! I also have a quick question, how long do you have to be there in advance? Our ferry from Vieques arrives in Ceiba at 10am and our Air Flamenco flight is supposed to take off at 11:30. If we are taking a taxi right after getting off the ferry, I am thinking we are probably going to be there 30 mins before take off. Do you think it's possible?
The ferry is only minutes from the airport. You’ll have plenty of time. The terminal for the plane is a walk-up. You’ll get there about an hour before your flight.

It’s $90 each. So if that’s cheaper for you go for it.
When we flew, it was $68 each. It's a good alternative if you can't book a ferry ticket, and it's an entirely different experience from the boat.
