Come Dine With Me takes people who are experts in the art of giving the perfect dinner party and puts their skills to the test. All are great cooks and excellent hosts - but they're all very different. So, if one person's perfect dinner party is another person's evening from hell, how will our hosts cope with a whole week of each other's hospitality?
Each night for a week, one of our hosts will throw a dinner party for the others. They all have their own unique styles of cooking and entertaining, but they're all determined to impress, because at the end of each evening, the guests will give their host a mark out of ten. The host with the most points at the end of the week wins £1,000 pounds. Come Dine With Me has expanded to a variety of formats including singles, couples and celebrity specials!
    Content distributed by ITV Studios.

Honest question: Is it culturally acceptable in the UK to say something very positive to someone and then to turn around and say the exact opposite? I have seen this behaviour on this show very regularly & just want to understand if that is just during this TV setting or if that occurs also in normal life? Thank you & disrespect meant❤

No, it is not acceptable behaviour. The show just does a lot of things for entertainment purposes, some guests will have certain habits that are emphasized for drama. Things are staged, houses are changed for light and cameras etc.

If their opinion changes, then yes. Its not just something the UK does, it would be ignorant to think it was as we see that behaviour a lot on American shows, or shows from around the world, because it's human to make a mistake about your opinion or have your opinion change. But you didn't really want an answer to your question, did you.
