The west is filled with people who live lives so easy they have forgotten that the rest of the world don't have the same values they do. Outside the west the rest of the world doesn't care about, trans rights, DEI, or who is more victimized than who, they know the world runs on power, those that have it can dictate to those that don't.
Also when the west is weak then other nations will try to fill the void, right now the west is showing its neck in multiple theaters, so competing nations are doing what they can to fill that void. Iran is doing what its doing at this time because the west, especially the US is sending mixed messages, so they think they have a free hand to push their own agendas. They may be wrong, and misread the room like Russia did, but considering they have been able to take ships, and the west doesn't do anything, is showing that their is a good chance they will do nothing if they attack Isreal.

The Iranians may well have already responded to the embassy attsck, as per the Hezbollah missile attack on Israel last night? The Iron Dome managed to take down ALL the oncoming missiles. I don't think the Mullahs in Tehran will do much more, as the potential consequences might end up, over-whelming! My guess is they might commandeer/attack more commercial western shipping in the Persian Gulf or using their proxies in the Yemen.
