It may be the more competitive gun but in this case there is no reason to play this over any other fast tank with 490 alpha (e.g., the 277) (IMO). The double shot may be less dpm but higher burst and "fear" potential. Sure, in coordinated attacks or platoons the dpm gun wins but otherwise, not so sure. Or am I missing smth?
you are right, i would play the wz 111 5A if i want a single loader. The VZ55 has the niche role for me to trade one shot for 1k dmg, reload and do the same again.
Imo, all three play differently, at least for me. VZ is far more consistent gun, WZ is a dpm monster, and 277 is fast. I play each of them differently.
The 277, the one shot ammo rack wonder that races in to be obliterated first. Good tank against ppl unaware how to fight it, this a pub tank. In CW's these tanks are used commonly but also suffer commonly as they are not as durable unless you can remain front forward. IS-7's love to hit the front corners of these things and 1 hit BOOM lol.
Both guns have the same reload 11 seconds but the 2 shot has wait 22 till fill both making the single shot better in pubs as you aren't down for 22 seconds. The downside to the single shot gun is the 2 shot can quickly eliminate an enemy tank, however most ppl know with autoloaders to just charge them when they dump. VZ is a great tank with either gun but for competitive modes and Pubs I use the Single shot, it's far more "Caught out" friendly especially when inside pubs due to 99% of premium players not knowing what flanks are.
But the question is: Why would you play this tank in the first place, if you are not gonna take advantage of the double shot? Aren't there better alternatives? like 60TP, similar tank with much much better alpha?
See the problem with 2-shot autoloader is that, the second shot will have high probability of missing. If you do miss, then you are left with a shitty normal gun.
It’s hard to take a sales pitch seriously when they have 100% premium load out. Don’t have an issue with gold rounds, but all tanks are better with a premium load out.
Your pen rate in this specific battle is pretty good, but overall I don't like the 306 APCR pen, which is why the double-shot-gun feels more comfortable to get away with taking a hit. At least the gun is not as derpy as the IS-7's. I haven't played this tank since they nerfed it, but I feel like the double gun would fit good in randoms, while in competitive gaming the single one is the better choice, I think. Nice to-the-point video!
I prefer the single shot because I like consistency. The VZ has a far more consistent gun than the WZ or 277. And imo, all 3 play slightly differently from each other. 277 has the mobility, WZ has the DPM, and the VZ has the consistency.
IMHO, autoloading heavies are more of a distraction rather than being involved in play. The T57 is the same way. They appear for a minute, and then disappear, and heavy tanks should be putting their HP and armor in play to hold off enemy tanks.
@@GhostVvar Which is why it shouldn't be classified heavy. It's more a large medium or a very large light tank. Heavies are classified not only by weight but by armor and gun size which the 50b has only 1 of the 3.
@@animalyze7120 Historically speaking, "heavy tank" had such a loose definition. Some countries used weight as the defining factor, other used armor or firepower. For WG's sake they probably went with whatever designation the country of origin used. The 50B was designated as a heavy by the French.
I have been using the single shot gun 85% of the time. People kept making fun of me, but then they saw people doing it in 7vs7 modes. Thanks for the vindication.
The VZ is far more competitive with the single shot gun. You're getting dumped? 9 second reload instead of 20~ ish. Good mobility, decent turret armor, you gotta wiggle. Good shell velocity but horrid pen and last but not least very workable gun depression. I see a lot of people saying the 277 is everything the VZ is and more but with the 8 degrees of gun depressing the VZ has and slightly better turret/hull armor you have it opens up WAAAY more positions for you to use. Not to mention you can KINDA side scrape with it so long as you aren't fighting insane HEAT pen.
nah for real reason why people play 2shot gun in pubs is cuz u dont need dpm most of the time and hitting people for 1k dmg every 25 sec is more important. i would say both guns are viable tank is still very good but i think in pubs if you would run the single shot just play 260 or 5a or even bz72-1 for the heat pen 306 apcr like the guy said in comments below is pretty garbage.
Why not play the 5a instead of you want the single shot gun? Also has 340 heat pen. The reason you may consider the single shot gun in CW is more sustainable fire. How often can you actually use your DPM in a random? Hence why the autoloader is better. Clanwars you get more opportunities to use the DPM of the single shot.
I mean there is almost always a better tank. You could say why not play the 277 because it is better than the 5A. It's really about getting the most out of the VZ, but hey it's just game and if you have more fun with the 2 shot gun then I say use it.
I commented before on a different channel. "Single shot is the way", this is just after nerf hits on server. I got absolutely lynched in comments. Never again I said anything.

No, you are perfectly right.

dam I've never used the single shot gun i need to try it

They nerfed the 2 shot gun and it now has a longer reload.
But the question is: Why would you play this tank in the first place, if you are not gonna take advantage of the double shot? Aren't there better alternatives? like 60TP, similar tank with much much better alpha?
There is almost always a better tank you can play. This is really about just getting the most out of the VZ.

I like the double gun but it does lead to receiving extra damage when you try and unload clip instead of getting safe.

Well that depends on the armor, I don't expect a 50B to be in the front lines.

It’s a good tank but constantly getting ammo racked😢😢
I play it with bounty hardening and mod config along with a mod con directive (since I have soooo many of those) and now I rarely get ammo racked

Shout out to my clanmate lol SkyDR
I just use the Single Shot gun, it's way better

5A cant hulldown properly and its internals are made of paper. Plus cupola is easy to hit and gun accuracy is a bit meh.

I know the feeling. Knew this would ruffle feathers so I was ready to be lynched in the comments :)
Single-Shot only
ur wrong noob autoloader is better :)
