baby's first improv: I'm playing up and down d minor harmonic on off beats, while making sure to hit the tonic of each chord change on the 1 beat. feel like a jazz god lol.
Yeah it's a dandy little. Groover could totally transition into some minor key klezmer off shoot. At any point Double up the time and start making the Hungarian minor scale weep with a solemn and dignified. Simplicity
Hey QuistJam, thank you for everything! I'm learning and your videos have been great for me...Can you tell me if the A chord here is the phrygian mode? I mean in the scale sense..and as you said, beeing the dominant I can add more color playing another ones...but if it is the phrygian, can I play all notes of the phrygian or only some?
Love the jams but why don't you put the chord diagrams on your videos? It would be much easier to learn the patterns if you could see the chords, learn them, then concentrate on the leads. I used to subscribe to your patreon but dropped due to the same reason. Just a suggestion. Thanks.
Hi mate, cheers for all those vids! I hope not to bother you, but could I please ask you to do the same in F minor? I think it's the only key I couldn't find on your channel... Thanks a lot :-)
+Ricardo Dacach totally! Will stick it on the to do list!!! In the meantime - these might help ruclips.net/video/PjblJFGiJk8/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/gd4C9QxGuy0/видео.html
Buenisimo, pero la proxima pasa de re menor a fa sostenido con bajo en sol disminuido con 9na aumentada y sol sostenido con bajo en tercera y despues un mi menor
+Edward Macartney a 2 5 1 is the chord progression... The 2 chord (Variation of E minor), the 5 chord (G dominant or a variation of it), and the one chord (D minor). As a sax player you would want to solo over the changes hitting the money notes, the tenor sax is a Bb instrument so you when a guitar plays a Bb it sounds the same as a C on the tenor sax. So you would transpose all of the chords up one whole step and then solo over the changes.. much love hope that helps
+Nick Miller Hi Nick thanks for that I am beginning to get some of this stuff ,.By the money notes do you. mean the1357 s or are certain notes more powerful such as the 3and7 or is it a matter of hitting in time with the same notes on the backing track. I do find this really puts a brake on my impro I usually just zap around on the major scale of the tune.of course I do want to understand how this all works thanks Ed.
Played random notes sounded fine. I love jazz
