I haven’t spoken to my husband in 2 mos. He left the marriage and filed for divorce. We had only been married for 6 mos. I was single and celibate for 5 years before that because I was waiting on God. My husband was being emotionally abusive and very controlling. There is no sign that he wants the marriage back. But I miss him so much and still want to be with him. He was Christian when we met but had only come to the Lord recently. I just can’t believe he filed for divorce and really wants out. He knew how I felt about marriage before we got married and how the word of God says it’s for life.

Yes it is a struggle and very hard but you cannot do it in your own strength. God needs to do it. Ask Him to heal you from the pain and that there will not be any residue left of that pain. You also need to forgive him and ask God to help you forgive. Doesn't mean it didn't happen but it also cannot be something that is brought up or used as ammo later on down the road. Forgiveness means you forgive just like God has forgiven you. Unforgiveness is poison to you, it does more harm to you than the person who hurt you. I haven’t spoken to my husband in 2 mos. He left the marriage and filed for divorce. We had only been married for 6 mos. I was single and celibate for 5 years before that because I was waiting on God. My husband was being emotionally abusive and very controlling. There is no sign that he wants the marriage back. But I miss him so much and still want to be with him. He was Christian when we met but had only come to the Lord recently. I just can’t believe he filed for divorce and really wants out. He knew how I felt about marriage before we got married and how the word of God says it’s for life.

I'm praying God will help me believe that my marriage can be healed. I am struggling to heal from the pain my husband has caused me.
Yes it is a struggle and very hard but you cannot do it in your own strength. God needs to do it. Ask Him to heal you from the pain and that there will not be any residue left of that pain. You also need to forgive him and ask God to help you forgive. Doesn't mean it didn't happen but it also cannot be something that is brought up or used as ammo later on down the road. Forgiveness means you forgive just like God has forgiven you. Unforgiveness is poison to you, it does more harm to you than the person who hurt you. Dont let the enemy use that to hold you in this position in your life and turn it into a prison.

Thank you for that truly beautiful prayer. My dear wife and me been married almost 35 years. No problem there; but even with this crisis of the ages, she still not aroused out of a spiritual stupour, a mesmerising lethargy, and does not keep the Sabbath at all as she once did. Spiritual Lethargy seems to have mesmerised her spirituality.
Bring it all before the Lord. He knows how to touch your wife and turn her back to Him. He is calling you to pray and cover her
