How to train your dragon is probably one of the best film franchises of the early 2010s, however the films themselves bear almost no resemblance to the original source material. (That being the book series of the same name by Cressida Cowell) So if you do enjoy the films I would highly recommend the books as they are an amazing read and to this day are one of my most favourite fantasy book series of all time.
Yup the books are well worth it. And if you're an audio book person the series is available narrated by David Tennant. Well, I say narrated, but they're more more one person audio plays than simple narration.
