She may not want to breed or if you've made previous attempts she could already be pregnant. She may not like him . It really could be a number of things but Just check her over and make sure she's 100% healthy no issues be sure to check her vent color when you see a red swollen look this is a great time to reintroduce them.

Enjoy the videos. Only owned rabbits for a few months and I'm learning a lot. Bred my doe Ruby (6mo) on Apr 16, got 2 fall offs and a cry. Took her back the next day and she wanted nothing to do with the buck, so I figured it was successful.. 32 days later no kits, Everyone talk about a fall off equals a successful mating. Is there something I'm missing. I have 1 trio, buck and 2 does. They are Florida White/Cali mix.

Bobby, Thank you for your videos on raising rabbits. I am getting all set up to start raising meat rabbits for my family and have used your videos as a my go to. I have learned so much from you since your videos are very user friendly and easy to understand. If you would show what type of record keeping system that you in place, along with what information you list about the rabbits since things can get a very confusing very fast when breeding of multiple rabbits start. I just feel good record keeping will keep me on track so I can make the best choices for the rabbits. Again, Thank You for your amazing videos!🙏 Poppy

I have a particularly stubborn doe whose tail we manage to lift, but she tucks her hips too, making it nearly impossible for my boys. She's only ever given one fall off, and no babies. My sister wants to try making some kind of platform to prop her back feet into. Thoughts on that?
That is very interesting. We only started out with two does and one of them is really stubborn as well. Never lifted.. I thought maybe I should cull her? When do you make such a decision?
@@missmarjolein92 that's really up to you. I could have culled this one months ago, but she has a good personality and PERFECT fur that I want to perpetuate. Even when she's mad, she only kicks, no biting, so I really want babies from her.
Building a platform really isn't necessary you just need a flat table or you can even use a cage like we did lay down some carpet or matting I have my hand under their belly slid back towards the vulva I will even use my thumb and index finger to put it into position for the buck you may need to move him -you may need to move her just keep at it just like in the video reposition until he falls off
@@Heather-xm9ul Your reasoning makes complete sense. I only started out and paid €20 for her so I do not want to cull right away even though she did not lift since I got her in August. So almost 8 weeks now. I was hoping to process the first litters before Christmas hahaha.
Bobby tried to breed a doe today she lifted early and i got successful fall off after that she would have nothing to do with him. Should i do your table method or should she be ok with the one fall off Thanks
I'd try for two fall offs. Try again 8-10 hours later when the egg follicles are rupturing. It's a terrific time to rebreed Mark the calendar, regardless if you get a lift on the second try You shouldn't have to continue to table breed after getting them started. Once the kits are 4 weeks old remove mama for a rebreeding she should lift on her own at this point. Don't wait too long or you may get stubborn behavior repeated.
Thanks for the video I might have to try this I don't have a issue with my does not lifting but I have a 6 month old New Zealand buck that can't quite figure it out. I mean the does lift and nothing happens but man he tries like heck though!
If my doe let’s my buck mount her but doesn’t lift her tail and I have to intervene and he “falls off” does that mean she’s actually in “heat” Im not able to check her frequently to make sure.
Thanks for asking it’s best to check your doe regularly and when her vent is red and swollen is a good time to introduce her when it’s pale in color wait a few days.
Do they only need 1 fall off? My girl finally had her first successful fall off this morning, and my new girl which was bred with my breeders buck had 2 successful fall offs, idk if I need to keep breeding them or not to be sure.
You can breed again 8-10 hours after the first breeding 1 week later you can test breed to see how she acts. If she lifts add that date to your calendar as well. Just in case your rabbit doesn't kindle on the first date. You'll be ready 32 days from the test breeding date
I'm so sick! Wish I saw this video earlier. I just butchered a doe I had worked with, sat waiting for her to come out of the corner. She never would lift her tail or if she come out she'd tuck her tail. Gave her 3 breeding seasons but finally gave up. Thanks for info. I've read forced breeding only works 10% of time. What's your response to percentage?
Try not to beat yourself up. So many folks cull rabbits that never got started. Success greatly depends on folks doing it correctly. The rabbit in the video will absolutely have a litter. Most likely won't need a table breeding again either. When the kits are 4 weeks old I'll rebreed her. Mama rabbits almost always lift around this time regardless of short daylight or time of year. Best of luck with your future breedings
if you don't have a rubber band just lift the tail in place with your thumb. My old male 6 years i think got 2 does pregnant like this and i got 6 babies he a small boy (he either a polish broken or Netherland rabbit that is on the bigger side )i think one of my female is a tan probably not pure the other one kind of look like a cotton tail but her face is larger more square .at the end of it i don't really care what breed they are(probably all taste the same) i live in an apartment i dont want to deal with big meat rabbit since I'm not a very strong women .i been scratch before too ,i don't want to fight them off while i pick them up...just my experience opinion with my situation .i think i will try the elastic too i must have some laying around for next time.

Good question. Yes she should lift on her own. In most cases our rabbits will lift but we will entertain other options if they don't - this work when nothing else does.
Hi Bobby I have an urgent question. My doe got pregnant 6 weeks ago, gave birth 18 days ago to a healthy litter of 5kits. She has not been in contact with a male, yet I can see and feel babies moving around and feel quite big in size. Could one of the male kits have gotten her pregnant? Or could she have gotten pregnant in both uterine horns and be possibly holding off delivering the second litter. ?? If so is this normal and safe?? Kind regards
It's not normal and it isn't safe either. You could be feeling manure. It Could be a few possibilities. Rabbits don't sexually mature until approximately 14 weeks so they didn't impregnate her. she could be resorbing some embryos that didn't get delivered. Rest assured If she's nursing and eating she should be just fine.
As someone with long hair, rubberbands hurt. They pull out hair by the roots. Have you tried hair bungies? They will stretch wide. They also tend to not entangle or pull out the hair, so painless to use. Thanks for your informative videos. 🐇 🐇 🐇
