I just started playing it when it launched on game pass. I've been playing Diablo since the early 2000s but I held off on 4 because all my friends said it was terrible. So far, since I started playing, my experience has been great. I leveled each class to 10 and then decided to roll with druid through the rest of the story. I've done the first two acts and I'm having more fun than I did in the other games. I can't speak for the quality of the endgame content yet, but so far I think everybody was exaggerating the issues. I had friends play like 3 quest and refuse to play more because it was supposedly "so awful" lol. I played three quests and couldn't wait for more haha. I actually didn't like builds like the one this video showcases from d3 though. That was my main d3 buddy's favorite thing to do - just spin to win. I definitely think it's worth checking out, so I hope you enjoy it if you do decide to give it a chance.
i grew up playing diablo 3 the reaper of souls and mained necromancer and I haven't played the new one yet but I hope it lives up to my expectations of the great game diablo 3 was.
People saying the barbarian is weak in Diablo 4 clearly have shit builds, mine is a one shotting machine with no ubers this season. And has been that way the past three seasons
It's been a long standing Diablo tradition for my first character being the Barbarian (Warrior in D1, Barb in D2/D3/D4). Before the Loot Reborn Update, I was spending alot more time optimizing the Walking Arsenal system with gear choices than slaying enemies (too...many...damage buckets!). But it felt badass to have all these weapons at my disposal, each for a particular skill. Suffice to say, I'm interested to see how Barb has changed with the new season. Already, it's easier to level up, gear drops are better, but there's still a good grind in building up the enchanting roster while tempering gear for badass builds.
I don't get the hate for D4 in its current state in season 4. It's a better game than D3 in literally every aspect imaginable, from balance, to QOL features, and especially to endgame content. People are just salty that they don't feel as much joy from life in general as they did when they were younger.
@@Zexba96they literally JUST change d4. It’s so different it might as well be called d5. d5(d4) is currently better then d3 as of a week ago. Before that d4 bad was the meme. Stay up to date.

It was a fluff piece that never felt like Diablo. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't Diablo.
D2 is better still in some aspects. Specifically world design and enemies. In D2 there’s specific enemies I’m afraid of and prioritize. In D4 the only enemies I’m afraid of are ones off screen that I can’t see and teleport and insta kill me and D4s world design is so dark and red every biome looks the same. D2Rs world was a lot nicer. D4 has a nice world, the issue is you can barely see it

@@Neiji_SF I vaguely remember there being a difficultly after Hell, but if Hell was the final difficulty, then that's what I'm talking about. D3 shipped with Inferno difficulty after Hell. I hated it. I remember if you didn't kill an elite enemy fast enough (ie you died), you'd just get invisibly one-shotted when you got near enough to it to see it on screen. It was bull.
@@marc-etiennemercier6584 d3 actually isn't horrible nowadays, it was ultra dogshit on release but RoS saved it kinda. It's a decent arpg although I still dislike the reliance on sets rather than having interesting affixes
Yeah, pretty weird that they essentially made d3,5 instead, with slower lvls, no sets, occasional lag spikes due to loading all players storages and whatnot. I think the game still need another year or two to get its own identity, preferably one that feels good, if possible.
@MrHuntingClaw this didn't age well the expanison is actually incredible and the game feels leagues better now, I'm shocked how they are actually pushing this hard, but it did make a crap ton of money on mtx so that could be why too but overall d4 is in its best state since launch with expansion and s6.
@@kylefletcher1002 good for you, it only cost as much as another new game to get it where it should had from the start, while still being d3,5. I will still claim it needs that year to get where people ideally would want it to be for its overall cost.

@@kylefletcher1002 both games are intended for max level or close to before you do the end game stuff. @@Cablev94 in what world is d2 easy. 90% of the builds cant complete hell without farming gear for 100+ hours. also when the content is dogshit who cares. create your own content with farm routes. i do wish greater rifts were a thing in d2 tho.
I didn’t feel any sense in Diablo3 - you choose one of 20 difficulty levels and do the same thing at a comfortable rate of experience accumulation. The goal is to add zeros to the damage numbers that pop up. All the characters look and feel same - special effects, fireworks, explosions, it’s some kind of farce.
While I’m still having fun on D4, it seems like D3 (in it’s later years) was more focused on just FUN to play builds, and didn’t really worry about balancing too much. Like most Diablo games, there has to be years of feedback and QoL updates to get the game where it needs to be, but D3 didn’t really worry about something being “too broken” that often. Now in D4, we have people worried about PvP and classes being “too OP” in a game where you’re just supposed to have fun.
In Diablo 3 you get one of the class specifc sets, and then mash buttons. In Diablo 4 you copy whatever the meta build is and just mash buttons. If you decided not to use a class specific set the game became more difficult in Diablo 3. If you don't copy the meta for Diablo 4, you are DPS locked out of a good portion of the content.

Right. I thought that same thing when the dude commented "oh I fall asleep, tee hee."
I got to 120 solo a few seasons but that was as close as i could get.
@@Texansfan59 Yeah I think my best NMD was like 125 which took months of farming for better gear. People should never call D3 easy until they can solo a 150.
I'm a PoE player. I've played D3. And I can say. Yes. It's very hard 😂
@jonstewart9887 It doesn't really take skill to get to GR 150. It's just a massive timesink. Grind for perfect rolls, grind for paragon levels.
Because Diablo 3's hero is an unlocked Nephalem. Diablo 1, 2 and 4, you're just an ordinary warrior with power and abilities.
Is it worth buying? still many players?
Diablo 4 has averaged 4,286,248 players during the last 30 days as of March 27, 2024, according to Activeplayer.io. Additionally, 1,157,287 players have played or at least launched the game daily in the same period... if u have xbox pass u dont need to buy game :)
@@framecrunch okay thx
im on ps5 unfortunately idk why its not on the premium pass
@Evanderyg if it makes you feel better, it's on sale rn. I'm also debating whether to buy it or not
I just started playing it when it launched on game pass.
@MrTophatreaper I would buy it, the next season is gonna be a lot of fun.
I remember when people complaint about D3 vs D2... guess is a trend
Seems like everybody feels the same, 3 was a good time but 4 brings you back to 2
Nope. Nothing compares to 2. 4 have really bad skills and loots
Diablo 4 feels like they dont quite want you to have too much fun, gotta be humble
Nice job. I stopped playing D4 after about a month. Back on D3.
diablo 3 starting a new game on at least torment lvl 4 makes it challenging enough as well. Especially if you only run Hardcore characters.

The funny thing is Diablo three rifts on the second hardest difficulty was THE HARDEST SHIT THAN MALTHEAL HIMSELF
Exactly, D3 was rainbows and butterflies, a stain on the Diablo franchise.
Good combat mechanics though
fun>sweat every single time.
Ah ah sisi Bro c'hai ragione, Diablo IV Is better than the 3? I don't think so, when all community says that the 3 was better than the 4
D2 > D4 > D3
@@Zexba96they literally JUST change d4. It’s so different it might as well be called d5. d5(d4) is currently better then d3 as of a week ago. Before that d4 bad was the meme. Stay up to date.
@@Zexba96I guess waiting was the call then... Because I was smart, knowing most games don't release well anymore and have to patch multiple times. I literally made my first character yesterday on IV.... It might take the cake as my favorite. I'm a fairly devout og player with plenty of hrs between I & II..... Even III unfortunately.
D4 has a nice world, the issue is you can barely see it
This pretty much sums up why I quit after 1 game clear.
You didn't experience HotA Barb in D4 Season 2, did you ?
I did, but it wasn't fun for me
I dont like the constant spaming basic attackss and waiting for cooldowns. I like the diablo 2 click one button everything dies lol

Play diablo with a game controller then.
@@RivaZA1 I don't even consider things like that. My diablo days are done, the interest has gone. Thx tho
@eNyaaaw you don't consider a controller? You never played a racing gane or anything. Any smart PC player has an Xbox controller for games like this. Your elitist tone has me dying of laugher rn, no one is impressed lmao.
@@Meatman2042 It's not elitist at all. That's how you took it. Don't be stupid. I literally played 1 game for almost 2 decades. The only time I ever watched Diablo gameplay was someone using a keyboard. I assumed you needed more keys for games like that. Nothing to do with elitist. Again I played 1 game, I wasn't into anything else.
If anyone else gets RSI carpal tunnel yeah a controller is good or vertical mouse + bind spacebar to move and all skills/attacks to WASD especially left/right click attacks. Torment is love, Torment is life.
Honest question - isn't it more fun? Cause playing spell caster is usually this sweaty, but it's exciting (sometimes).

Diablo 3 didn’t have torment on release.
Perhaps he means when torment released, not when the game released?
@@Neiji_SF I vaguely remember there being a difficultly after Hell, but if Hell was the final difficulty, then that's what I'm talking about.
Basically everyone hit a wall cause resistances were too impactful but too difficult to obtain. So only a handful of wizards and monk 4 stacks got to continue playing the game.
D3 shipped with Inferno difficulty after Hell. I hated it. I remember if you didn't kill an elite enemy fast enough (ie you died), you'd just get invisibly one-shotted when you got near enough to it to see it on screen. It was bull.

Never realized how good D3 was until d4 :(
Yeah, pretty weird that they essentially made d3,5 instead, with slower lvls, no sets, occasional lag spikes due to loading all players storages and whatnot.
@MrHuntingClaw your one of those guys I don't get the d3.5 when it's nothing like d3 I don't get it lol I hated d3 ros was meh and the necro was like a blood mage from WoW, I don't know any games that are multiplayer/ multiplat that have perfect smooth launches lol that expectation is a foolish dream now a days, as fpr cost games like destiny 2 i never could figure out the cost to content out and how it remained so active compared to the base game, also glad the game does not have sets, sets ruined d3 as well lol.
@@kylefletcher1002 both games are intended for max level or close to before you do the end game stuff. Both games have questionable number bloating which require number bloating special equipment, the skill tree is unfortunately rather shallow and give you a limited amount of alternatives comparable to d3's tree, with pretty much only having the paragons vastly different. Uniques drop everywhere as they are pretty much mandatory. If you still don't understand the comparisons, then that's on you.
The struggle is real with barbs.. i just made a barb in D4 after running Spiritborn, Rouge, and sorcerer... i wish they would bring back the paladin. Id love to see hammers or smite in D4

Good atmosphere (unlike D3 : Diablo for kids, but it lacks content)
While I’m still having fun on D4, it seems like D3 (in it’s later years) was more focused on just FUN to play builds, and didn’t really worry about balancing too much. Like most Diablo games, there has to be years of feedback and QoL updates to get the game where it needs to be, but D3 didn’t really worry about something being “too broken” that often. Now in D4, we have people worried about PvP and classes being “too OP” in a game where you’re just supposed to have fun.
They added an option with the latest patch to make the characters and enemies brighter if you like it that way.
Особенно билд через электрическое копье на мага, там как на пианино жмешь😂
In Diablo 3 you get one of the class specifc sets, and then mash buttons. In Diablo 4 you copy whatever the meta build is and just mash buttons. If you decided not to use a class specific set the game became more difficult in Diablo 3. If you don't copy the meta for Diablo 4, you are DPS locked out of a good portion of the content.
Barbarians are always OP even with terrible gear. Its upsetting the devs dont truly make ever class worth playing
