i'm confused why were they making hamburgers before they took orders (in my country atleast frying and assembly part is done after customer orders the food)
@Zeeshan Ismail I think OP works at a fast food restaurant. I don't know much about fast food restaurant and how they function, but I think they make the food beforehand if it's the most ordered food. Like for instance, I go to Popeyes (fried chicken fast food restaurant) and get some chicken tenders and some fried shrimp. Usually I don't have to wait if I only order the tenders, since the tenders are often ordered and they probably made it beforehand. But if I order the tenders WITH the fried shrimp, they gonna tell me to pull up to the waiting parking area. Shrimps are not ordered often, so they don't make them beforehand, so they have to make them right then and there when I ordered them.
@@zeeshanismail7768 For a lot of fast food joints, people just say "I want a Number 1 with a Coke" and call good. When that number is a very popular one, you can get away with making some in advance so that you can get people their food and get them the fuck out of your pickup line for the next customer. Even for custom orders, a burger patty is usually a burger patty so as long as you don't let one sit there for an hour you can just use that and put someone's toppings on from there. @michaelterrell Business attire for women can include short skirts. Men can't wear shorts... but very few businesses are gonna risk the sexual discrimination lawsuit if I decide to wear a kilt. I still wore a button down shirt and a tie. I was hoping I'd get written up so I could retire...
@@Ironraven001 I was joking. My legs are damaged, and require medical compression stockings to prevent open wounds. I went to the VA to be measured when they needed replacement. Instead of a Med Tech, I was sent to a Physical Trainer who insisted on giving me absolutely useless replacements. They were so big that the thigh bands fell below my knees with my first steps.. When I went back, I brought his supervisor's name and extension number. I had lost most of my thigh muscles, so I required the regular style, not the extra large ones made just for men. He was screaming, "No self respecting man would wear the others, they are made for women!" I grinned, "They are my legs, and I'm Diabetic. It's highly unlikely that I would survive a double amputation, so shove your stupid crap! You may get a painting out of it, but it definitely won't be a portrait.
Story 5 - Well, they should have made certain everything was forwarded to the FOD's mobile phone when he went on vacation, because he is salaried after all. I think managers like that forget that there are holiday clauses within contracts when you are salaried. Story 6 - Would have loved to see that boss fire OP for that, the litigation case within the courts would have been labeled as a teaching case for discrimination law and labeled "Why you dont ask a deaf person to transcribe audio recordings." and it would have also completely destroyed not just that boss, but their company.
Vacation Story: OP should have gone to the VP that approved the Vacation and asked him to step on the Operations Director because he demanded OP take his laptop and phone and be On-Call while on Vacation in Violation of State Labor Law...
My husband's an IT guy. He's mission critical for his company because, like OP, he's the only one who does his job. He has trained a coworker to handle part of it, but he's the only one with the entire job. So, we got invited to the beach in Florida for my World of Warcraft Guild's party week. We made all the arrangements to go but my husband tucked his work computer into my computer bag (because I don't go anywhere without it as an author AND gamer), just in case he gets "that call." We had a blast, between the drive from Houston to Melbourne Fl, (taking 2 days because of my disability) and then a week planned for the gathering and then two days travel back home. But halfway through the party week, he gets a call, something's broke and he needs to get online, if possible. He dutifully unpacks the computer, sets up in a bedroom, and goes to work while I hang out with the gang. He walked back out 3 hours later, the emergency handled and his shiny star still glowing. And it was appreciated at bonus time. We love where he works (major financial institution, can't say more) and they treat him right, which is awesome after doing IT at various companies since 1986. He's retirement age but working for a few more years to pay off our home. And, because of my disability he works at home 4 of 5 days a week, which is just fantastic. I write, he works, we're in the room together and it's just the best.
Story 5... I hate managers like that... they powertrip and don't actually know what those under them do, so cannot actually manage them, and don't know how much work they do. I agree with DarkFluff... not having a backfill is an issue, and should get the manager fired.
I just got my first kilt a few weeks ago(I was at a Ren Faire, and wanted to fix that I didn't have a SINGLE piece of paraphernalia to honor my Scottish heritage), and I was NOT expecting to love it this much. Kilts are fuckin great!

When OP said "I start to crank out the burgers, and don't bother to wrap them up. I'm working furiously and get into a rhythm" I immediately thought of the first episode of SpongeBob "Help Wanted" where he's making the Krabby Patties fast for the customers.

story 5: A lot of times an easy going senior bosses (the VP) either hire or are forced to hire more aggressive under bosses because they cancel out each others weaknesses. This does not work very well the other way around though as the aggressive boss would just constantly override and micromanage their underboss.
I had a boss that had me do work I was not hired to do and thought just above minimum wage was enough for me. I just decided I was done with that job and sent in my resignation via email. The place shut down cause I was the only one at that location doing the work. 😅
#1 After exiting Horrible, power tripping, Boss office, OP should just tell everyone that what he's wearing IS totally fine with the dress code and encourage all other male coworkers to dress the same to piss off Horrible Boss. #2 Over work me, make me suffer from all of that added responsibilities, DON'T pay me adequately, and have me read that book about personal finances that encourage me to get a better job ? As soon as OP finds a better job AND accept it AND quit. That place WILL go under. FAST ! #3 NPM got exactly what he demanded. He also got exactly what he deserved for his stupid power trip : Shown the Way Out... Fast ! #4 That's a shovelling boss. As in shovel/dump your work down to those bellow you. That 2nd story, sounds like a boss needs an attitude adjustment party. Jerk Story 3. I went through something similar. I spent a lot of my restaurant career as a cook. Working at fast food, I judged what had come in. The manager yelled at me for "Over-cooking" the food. We ran through all I cooked with in the time. She still bitched at me. I left soon after. Facing bankruptcy for doctor and hospital bills? That‘s just insane and, frankly, inhumane. I think I‘ll stay put in good ol‘ Germany and enjoy (specifics of my company) fixed 38-hour week, 30 days of paid vacation and (by law) paid sick leave for up to 6 consecutive weeks if necessary. In fact, I just had to take two days off for some issues I won‘t get into detail here. All it took was to call in (well, I opted to get a doctor‘s note, even though it‘s not required for up to 3 days in my company, but better safe than sorry, and thanks to universal healthcare and insurance, I don‘t pay extra). I don‘t even have to send the note in myself since a new law as of January 2023 - I just tell him when I call in that I have a note, and the employer can get the relevant data (which, due to data protection laws, are basically „X is sick and from a medical perspective unable to work. They will be in this state until the estimated date of . Signed, “) from the insurance who get the information digitally from the doctor. Ah… laws that are designed to protect the weaker party… I pity you.
I saw a video on RUclips about a Danish royal wedding. The bride was of Scottish heritage, and her father wore a kilt as he escorted her down the aisle.

Fast food chains are notoriously for being treated badly. I was a shift manager at Carl's (not Sr). The GM demands we cut labor late at night. So it was just me running drive through & front counter with 1 cook. They neglected to tell us they gave away free famous star burgers to the whole coliseum. When the game let put hundreds of people came looking for their free burger. We had lines of cars & a front area filled with people waiting. The GM & DM showed up but instead of helped, berated us saying we should work "smarter not harder." This was just one of multiple incidents at Carl's.
The last story: wow, that manager is an ableist. Why would you assign a hearing task regarding audible translation to a deaf person since you know the nature of their disability.
Oh my goodness. The boss trying to make the deaf employee transcribe. I'm pretty sure the boss would get hit with ADA if he tried to make trouble for the employee
When i was working as a foreman gardener in the 1970s/80s my employer started altering our working conditions and cutting corners. I wasn't happy about this and voiced my opinions. @michaelterrell Business attire for women can include short skirts. Men can't wear shorts... but very few businesses are gonna risk the sexual discrimination lawsuit if I decide to wear a kilt. I still wore a button down shirt and a tie. I was hoping I'd get written up so I could retire...
question how comfy are Kilts anyways
He turned bright red, so I added, "If six inch high heels would help, I would wear them, in hot pink, just to make fools like you mad!"
He ordered the proper size, and I never had to deal with that idiot, again!
@@drakofox1362 Many Scotsmen agree it is comfortable.
Story 6: I hope the boss got a talking-to by someone and actually learned to understand what a moron he was. Saying "I don't care if you're deaf, transscribe it anyway" is like saying "I don't care if you're blind, paint a portrait anyway". Rediculous. You may get a painting out of it, but it definitely won't be a portrait.
I may have "listened" to the whole recording and sent the boss a blank document - "there you go; I transcribed it exactly as I heard it."
@@ed_j_webbas someone with hearing loss and who relies on captions, this is a great idea! LOL I love your thought process! 😊
The last story... if there was any sort of fallout, I would be getting a lawyer involved for discrimination.
Story 3: Gotta love the Honesty MC that Op did and spoke. We need more people like him to make our days with laughter
Same here. Got my first one when I moved down south after realizing how hot it got during the summer and then I bought a few more. sadly, still gotta wear pants to work but they at least allow shorts.
@@CharlemagneGuy127 So far... the only job I was allowed to wear shorts... was a rural internet installer... but I was climbing towers, on roofs, in crawlspaces... and didn't feel shorts were safe, so never wore them.
I absolutely love the malicious compliance in the first story
I have Scottish heritage and I would have taken that the whole way and do a crappy Scottish accent along with it. 🤣🤣🤣
Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it. Malicious Compliance with a capital "MC".
@@SquidInkPizza - As an Australian born Scotsman by heritage, I would have gone my full family colors, and wore it with honor. For those that dont know what I mean by that wearing it with honor, think of the most common question asked when it comes to a Scotsman in a kilt "What do they wear underneath?"
Yes, we are talking Braveheart here :D
@@Ryanthusar Haha! A true Scotsman. I respect that.
When OP said
"I start to crank out the burgers, and don't bother to wrap them up. I'm working furiously and get into a rhythm"
I immediately thought of the first episode of SpongeBob "Help Wanted" where he's making the Krabby Patties fast for the customers.
The boss in the last story is almost certainly in violation of disability discrimination law in whatever country this happened in. If OP chose to report him to HR he would be in deep deep trouble, and rightly so.
Just wanted to say I appreciate you and your channel so much. I am alone for more than 10 hours a day and struggle a lot with being alone, anxiety etc. I listen to this channel the entire time even repeated ones I've already heard. This channel is one of the only things that help me through each day so thank you!
5:21 That's only a problem with the Golden Egg Laying Goose looking like just an ordinary goose.
Story 6 - What a complete moron that boss was. Asking OP to transcribe an audio recording when OP is ‘deaf’. OP get’s major kudos for the Google Transcription. I hope that OP didn’t get into too much trouble.
Asking a deaf person to transcribe an *audio* recording.....
*Yeah, the math aint mathing*
@@thatonewitch I know right?
He wouldn’t face trouble because he’s deaf.
If anything he could create trouble for the company due to his manager’s stupidity.
@@MsTemptation That is true.
Wonder what the ADA would say about this? 🤨
This was a really good episode. Lots of stupid, arrogant bosses screwing themselves over.
Story 5: I love the outcome that FOD actually has to learn the stuff he needs to know when the IT person is on vacation.
Story 1: Bus drivers in our area was using skirts since it against policy to wear shorts in the summer. When it was noticed in the news it took a month to change, and now the policy is changed.
After being stuck in a lamp on and off for thousands of years , only when released to have to give a being, who maybe would reach 100yrs, 3 damn wishes..... Gennies are the ultimate Malicious compliancers
Story 2: it's takes a special brand of hubris to tell your employee you rely on the most to "seek a better job"
I had a boss that told me that when he enters the office he wants to see me doing at least two jobs at once, if not three. I finally flipped my lid when he yelled at me over something he knew nothing about.
Sounds like that boss in the last story was a lawsuit waiting to happen... I mean, doesn't what he did constitute some ADA violation?
story 5: A lot of times an easy going senior bosses (the VP) either hire or are forced to hire more aggressive under bosses because they cancel out each others weaknesses. This does not work very well the other way around though as the aggressive boss would just constantly override and micromanage their underboss.
Stories 3 and 4: Karma for both, never underestimate your workers.
He just got shovelled out of his job for that. Good riddance !
Story 4 should have had the manager arrested for embezzlement
I hope story 4 OP got a promotion. He was doing the work of a manager so he should be treated as such.
I have bad hearing. When I was unemployed I only got money when I did jobs my insurance thing gave me. They gave a phone job -_- I said, I don't hear so well, and on the phone I hear practicly nothing. Nope...I need to do that job or else I would loose my money. I did, the company I was send to was not so happy with me. I really don't understand some people.
The boss that was caught stealing should be charged with theft a d forced to make restitution.
6 turn 6 or Pull lay is from Mc Donalds
Yup. My first job too.
That 2nd story, sounds like a boss needs an attitude adjustment party. Jerk
Story 3. I went through something similar. I spent a lot of my restaurant career as a cook. Working at fast food, I judged what had come in. The manager yelled at me for "Over-cooking" the food. We ran through all I cooked with in the time. She still bitched at me. I left soon after.
Doesn't matter if you're salaried or not. If you're on vacation, screw that
Story 3 -
“Porque no los dos?”
I’d like to see BOTH the manager’s face AND the state of the kitchen. Piled high with trays of burgers 🍔 covering EVERY available surface 😂
Story 2: A management job is 1.8x minimum wage? That's insulting
A boss should be fired for asking a deaf employee to transcribe an audio recording. It's not only stupid, it's discriminatory and ableist, possibly harassment. The employee should have complained to HR.
They should have gone straight to a lawyer, HR only wants to cover the company
Nothing like some Dark Fluff on my birthday! I hope everyone is having a great day/afternoon/night! Peace ☮️, hugs 🤗 and love 😘!
Hope you are having a happy birthday
Happy birthday to you and many more!
Story 1 : After he was done after his 10 minute ragefest at OP's kilt, if he was done and i was op i would have said = I will report you for : Harrasment, discrimination and wrongfull termination. Try me.
third one: not the smartest manager, but atleast she was helping when the rush happend. unlike managers from some other fastfood storys. (like the one with the shake throwen into a car)
Story 5: Man, I‘d hate to live and especially work in the US simply for the insane work schedules. No vacation for 2 years? No sick leave and other stuff (not in this story, but in many others)?
Story five..... Director: " What, I'll have to actually do some work? I'm going on vacay!" 🤨
Sheesh.... what a useless tool!
I saw a video on RUclips about a Danish royal wedding. The bride was of Scottish heritage, and her father wore a kilt as he escorted her down the aisle.
Story 5: Is that manager stuck in the 1980s, since he thinks nerd is still a S teir insult.
Nerds have become the keystones of the corporate world.
Story 2: Never kill the golden goose should have been a lesson in business school and it's amazing how just one person quitting can collapse the business.
Story 4: Talk about shooting yourself in the foot and losing everything as the company will go scorch earth on the former boss for stealing their money for all the stupid abuse he done.
Any manager worth their salt can recognise the keystone that supports the arch they built and pay them accordingly.
Knee high socks are part of formal kilt wear.
Just leave the bagpipes at home! I once asked the piper who performs at our Veterans Park how he knew the pies were in tune! 😁😁😁😁😁
Story 3: why not make a burger vault like in the Krusty Krab?
Haha the last one, the boss is a few cards short of a full deck :-)
Story 6: That's just plain stupid. Can't be real.
When i was working as a foreman gardener in the 1970s/80s my employer started altering our working conditions and cutting corners. I wasn't happy about this and voiced my opinions. They countered with, "Well, if you don't like it, you can always leave!" So my next weeks holiday, i went for several interviews and got a response from the third one. So i gave my notice gardening and left and went to work for the national railways (UK) for the next 30 years. Quadrupled my wages, paid off my mortgage early and met my wife.
Story 3: Most likely Mcdonald's as I knew a friend who worked there for around 5 years. Yeah they never use the 6 turn 6 codes lightly just for this exact reason. Lmao
Discrimination against the disabled in a workplace great lawsuit material
Why is it so common for bosses or teachers to expect a disabled person to do something physically impossible for them to do?
"Okay guy with no arms, you'll be armwrestling this guy. You over there, get out of your wheelchair and run on this treadmill. You, blind girl, look at this magic-eye picture art and tell me what you see. I'm a Eunuch so naturally I'm gonna go impregnate my wife!".
Last story. Does the boss not understand the word DEAF? Deaf means Can not hear! Deaf means does not have the ear senses and it does not work properly. Like wtf?
When will bosses and managers learn that their job is not to know what their workers know. Its to manage.
You have specialists!
You arent one!
17:35 oh this words are so deliciously true
7:48 I would sooner let this idiot fire me and be put in a frenzy while scrambling, than to listen to that NSFW earlashing! "Piss of idiot! I was doing work for The Rush, not you to run me down! Fire me, and I'll have a reason to have you removed!! (Take photo of face) This is who you have to thank for not getting your meal on time!" all in earshot of the whole employee workplace.
The boss from story 5 is so cringe. He's like a bully out of an 80's movie.
I swear Story 3 has been done by this channel at minimum 3 times in the last year.
5:00 Can't wait for an update on this one
😂😂❤❤😂😂
Oh Fluff..
I have to say...
The "Malicious Compliance" episodes are definitely my FAVORITE!!
I just wish OP was able to send in videos with their stories.. because it would be AWESOME to see the look on the A-HOLES face when they realise they've been duped, by their own doing!!
LMAO... 🤣🤣🤣
Any-Hoo...
Another great episode!
I just WISH, so badly, you could make each episode like ONE HOUR LONG!!
Since I binge watched all of your episodes a couple months ago... I now have to wait (not so patiently) for each new one.. 🥺🥺
Oh well..
I hope you & Steve-O have a kick ass week❣️
Hello my wonderful beautiful boys!! Thank you! Have a good day Stevie boy and dook floof
Gotta ask, how does an employee punch it too early?
And only a few can punch in at exactly the right time. Being tagged for a 'tardy' just because you're 11th in line at the punch clock. That should get the company in trouble
Story 1: I hope OP wears his Kilt the Scottish Way.... no underwear allowed 🙂
And it was pink and white-What clan would that plaid belong to? Barbie's clan
Last story-
🤨: Are you going to get in trouble?
😁: I sure hope so. I could use a paid vacation.
Story 2, Op has a kid now
I remember when Green Day said FOD meant something different.
Story 5: FOD sounds like a fly in the cow's back. He's an a-hole simply because of the power he's been handed to, but is basically a loser who doesn't know how to do his job other than crack the whip on his subordinates.
Thanks Fluff. Have a good night
Story 3 I know what I would rather see and it's not either of the ones you said... it's the faces throughout the ordeal from each employee
Story 1: OP might have gotten away with it but could kiss any promotion good bye.
Story 2 can't possibly be in the US, right? Where in the States can you make 1.4 times min wage and actually make enough to get a house in less than a decade, if at all?
The kilt story I wonder if he wore a sporran with it haha
"NOC" is read like "knock" by the way.
Story 3: I wanna see the massive pile of burgers everywhere
What an idiot boss to demand a deaf person to transcribe an audio file… 😂
Yay fluffy timeeeee
I have a mentor that says if your doing more then your job requires and not earning more for it your job not worth your time find someone who wants you for your time and their money
