1:21:00 -- The Islamic prophet Mohammad by all accounts did believe in talisman magic so there is precedent for such a belief within Islam including a belief in curses. At one point apparently Mohammad believed that a curse had been placed upon him by casting a lock of his hair into a well which turned the water yellow and made him sick. Then there are the enigmatic jinn who can do pretty much anything that to the Christianity-influenced European mind would be considered demonic/witchcraft including possessing humans, casting spells, and so on. In Islam jinn aren't really seen as "demons" per se as much as they are just another species.
