Casa Bonita, South Park, Restaurant, Butters
In the "South Park" episode "Casa Bonita," Cartman, desperate to attend Kyle's birthday party at the Casa Bonita restaurant, tricks Butters into believing a meteor has hit Earth. He hides Butters in a bomb shelter to take his place at the party. Cartman briefly enjoys Casa Bonita before his deceit is revealed and he faces consequences. The episode humorously highlights Cartman's selfishness and cunning.

You know when I was younger I actually been there. I have family out in Colorado and was able to go prior before this episode aired. Was exactly as what Cartman described. The disney land of Mexican restaurants, cliff divers, black barts cave, etc. It was all real. Hell I even been to South Park and ate at the buffet(this was before season 5). It's not like what you see in the show. All desert. No snow.
Around time this year living here all my life I’ve seen them construction in progress from delivering food around there
I drive through fairplay a lot and it is desert but still there is snow consistently on the ground
I am from Colorado and although it may be a landmark, the food was nasty and it is located on one of the most infamous streets in the Denver area. I have not been there since Matt and Trey bought it, but I have heard that you can no longer just walk in. You need to get tickets to get in.
I would LOVE to go to Casa Bonita, especially now! Props to our guys, Matt and Trey!
You can get a Casa bonita Bumper sticker for your car.
The food is apparently not that good.
Yes it's a real place, fun fact though Matt and Trey bought the place, just about when it's going out of business, I still can't wait for Matt and Trey to open it, when they open it, I'm definitely going there.
It's already open as far as I know. But you have to be invited by email list or something weird like that. And most people say it's not worth it. And that the food that was served was disgusting.
@@darthvein3 Someone call Kitchen Nightmares.
You must not have gone after Matt Stone and Trey Parker bought the place. They completely turned the place around. The food is Gordon Ramsay worthy and the staff is well paid.
13:50 This episode aired only 2 episodes after Officer Yate’s debut, Christian Rock Hard, so he wasn’t super well established back then. I’d highly recommend watching that episode too btw, it’s great.
All cartman had to do was ask butters if he could call off his trip to casa Bonita in exchange for taking him there for his birthday.
Cartman will not go the party.
2:25 On that season 1 episode when it was Eric Cartman's birthday, he got really mad at Kyle for getting him Ants in the Pants instead of the red Mega Man. Eric threw a temper tantrum, beat Kyle up, then said he wanted Kyle to die, and finally flipped the switch to end his party.
3:20. On the Dikinbaus episode Eric also put on a sweater when he tried to get a job at the ice cream shop.
For more Cartman + Butters, I'd recommend S12E07 - Super Fun Time
Casa Bonita is real, Trey and Matt even bought the place.
i lived in denver for awhile and yes casa bonita is a real place but i never went there because it had terrible reviews, everyone says it was trashy and the food was shit. it was apparently just losing a lot of business due to poor management and the place was gonna shut down until Matt and Trey bought it like a year ago, i guess they're planning on renovating it or something.
There open for business. They already renovated it.
Too bad it’s invite only
Butters actually befriends a Priest in one episode
S22. Ep2. "A Boy and a Priest"
You would absolutely die F'n laughing in this episode lol
Meteor the size of Wyoming, yeah, i don't think any bomb shelter could save you from that.
I don’t think this is really Stockholm syndrome, butters is being tricked into thinking he’s down there for his own safety but he could leave whenever.
He is being tricked by Cartman, the guy who has tortured, manipulated and deceived him. He even says: "I love you, Eric". It is Stockholm syndrome.
It was a real restaurant in Denver and it gained popularity from this show. It closed for several years but due to its close connection to South Park Matt Stone and Trey Parker actually purchased it and it reopened this year under their ownership. I actually have family in Denver who went there recently.
Kind of like how Wensleydale cheese was saved from discontinuation by being referenced in the Wallace & Gromit shorts.
Oh wow! You caught the Heroes of Might and Magic music! YOU are a man of culture.
13:29 Eric Cartman is a man of focus, commitment, and sheer will.
Matt and trey spent $15 million to buy casa bonita during Covid and just opened it this past may
Casa Bonita is a real place. But it doesn't have the best reputation. Everything feels weird and out of place and most of it doesn't make sense. And the food is legendary for being just awful. There is a reason the chain has been shut down more than once.
If only Jimbo had sea people for Butters' Creamy Goo... then he wouldn't be alone!
I literally live my life since birth in Denver I’m 20 minutes away from casa Bonita in Colfax even used delivered food that area I’m glad shared the humor of this
Fun fact, the south park creators actually bought the Real Life Casa Bonita a couple years back
Cartman does become a minority in one episode.
S13. Ep 14 "Pee"
Beat song ever.
You can tell that the creators Matt and Trey grew up in the 70s and 80s because that Chicago song was played constantly on the radio back then and you'd often hear that part of it.
Not only is this a real restaurant, but it is currently owned and being renovated by Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
Not only is Casa Bonita a Real Place, Matt and Trey actually BOUGHT IT.
Poor butter he's so gullible my favorite part is still the beginning when he goes in working on a school project it's like butters think your in his glass kiddo
Class*
I love Butters and I feel sorry for him but, I swear, Trey and Matt make him so ridiculously gullible, in some episodes, that he really does deserves some of the stuff that happens to him. He's just being straight forward dumb instead of a little bit naive at this point xD
I used to live right down the road from Casa Bonita, unfortunately it was closed coz of the pandemic, I didn't realize it was Casa until I moved from that area.
I think the real reason Cartman hangs out with Butters is to keep his greatest Enemy the closest.
Butters is the only Child Cartman can't threaten to turn his parents into Chili... Butters would laugh maniacally and ask for seconds!
Indeed, it is the music from HOMM3. Very nice
As previously stated, Casa Bonita is real, and South Park creators purchased it after it was closing. They are still in litigation as far as I know. Yes, you are correct, beating up handicapt people is perfectly acceptable lol. Great logic. Pretty sure 10 to the power of 1 base 9 is 2? But who the f cares. In the episode "Scott Tiennerman must die" Mr Dinkins is the person who shoots trespassers on site, not Jimbo. Ya, Butters also sings Baby please dont go in Awesom-o. The garbage dump lady always reminded me of Rosie O'Donnel. The ending compilation is the best. Pretty sure Casa Bonita means "Pretty House". Really enjoy your reactions. Happy Holidays, later man.
The south park peeps actually bought the place
Respect for discovering the HOMAM3 Musick. Honor goes out
Merry Christmas :)
And also, great episode lol. One of my favorites
Casa Bonita is a real place. A few years ago they went bankrupt but Trey & Matt jump in and bought the place.
It's been years since i've had mexican food. However a few months ago I made some american tacos with grass fed beef, pre-mixed taco flavor powder, store-bought tortillas, walmart shredded colby jack, and it was seriously the best burrito/taco i've ever had in my life. couldn't believe I cooked something so delicious.
for new years i think i'll go try some authentic place for the first time instead of a chain like carmelitas.
cartman is a minority ... in a water park. you'll see.
So my dad is from a small town in colorado (his sister actually knows Matt and Trey pretty well but from work not childhood) anyways for Xmas this year my dad got us all Casa Bonita merch because he was there earlier this year. Super strange this was posted today but fun how the universe works. happy holidays everyone!
Merry Christmas let's get drunk and smoke some blunts
The begging of this episode is the final nail on the coffin for why I’ll never blame Kyle for laughing at the irony of the HIV episodes a few seasons later. Casa Bonita translates to Pretty House was close though props.
"bonita" would be more like pretty, but yes
Merry Christmas, have you ever considered reacting to moral orel in a future?
Day 12 asking for Toli to watch "Die Hippie Die" it is season 9 episode 2 and features the epic Cartman vs Hippies showdown
Funf Fact: Did you know that Alabama has beaches so beautiful that they'll make you wanna kiss your cousin?
Casa Bonita is real, and his description of it is accurate.
Ah, this is a good one - nice christmas present. Happy holidays!
16:57 lmfao I knew that would be your reaction
Casa Bonita is definitely a real place, I’ve been there several times, it’s about the experience though, there are cliff divers, caves, all sorts of shit to explore but the food is pretty ass, recently though Matt Stoner and Trey Parker actually bought and remodeled it, I don’t know what it’s like but I need to go there again sometime to see
All you can say again is poor gullible innocent and naive Butters.
Gotta LOVE Cartman getting what he deserves with his plan backfiring.
Casa Bonita is definitely real and was bought by Matt & Trey a few years ago and had some controversy before or after it opened. You definitely should read up on it.
Yes, Matt and Trey are extremely cultured
Yes casa bonita is a thing.
Gotta do S6E17 "Red Sleigh Down"
I feel like Eric Cartman’s character is based off of my wife’s older brother. I used to be friends with him back when we were kids. When we were all younger, we just thought it was something that he was going to grow out of. Dude is 40 years old and still lives with his parents and is still a living breathing walking piece of shit. He can only keep a girlfriend for a few months until they actually find out that it’s his parents house and not his. He tells women that it’s his house, and he just lets his parents live there.
14:47 Not buried in his sh*t tho
Selling Butters to the Pakistani's sounds like more of a Wendy solution.
Going to Casa Bonita probably too expensive for Lianne to casually go.
17:45 I don’t care who the Imperial Inquisition sends I am NOT paying taxes
I personally don't think Butters deserves to have bad things happen to him, he's just really naive but he starts to put his foot down with Eric in the more recent episodes.
Matt stone & Try Parker bought Casa Bonita and pay the workers above minimum wage. ❤
Casa Diarrhita is a real place. Known for the runs back in the day.
Imho, a top ten episode. 👍🏻🇺🇸
It'd be nice if you react to any chrismast episode tomorrow. Maybe season 2 episode 16 Merry Christmas, Charlie Manson!
Matt and Trey actually bought the restaurant and had it renovated and remodeled recently...On my bucket list of things to do...🤘😎🤘
Ah yes my nightly dose of Mr toelick reacts ✨
Fr tho Its becoming a habit to watch ya reactions before going to bed XD
Considered one of the best episodes
The south park creators bought the real cast bonita xD
Yeah. Earing that sincere “I love you” was at least uncomfortable. Another episode like this one (almost made me cry, but angry cry, not sad cry) was The Hobbit S17 E10.
So a meteor the size of Wyoming only made a crater 2 miles(3,218 meters) in diameter🤔
Fun fact there is indeed a restaurant and they changed the interior depicted in southpark to gain more publicity
I love this episode

That is a real place in Denver I live there and I have been there
11:14 That's the picture of Butters from 'How to eat with your butt'!
16:57 So... he has Cheyenne syndrome?
Merry Christmas !!!!!
reacts to chapters 6 and 7 of season 22
Is it really ripping on someone if it comes from your heart?
That took me out I subscribed after that 💀
Canadians? HHHHAAAAAA , Toli we can take it
Casa bonita means cute house or pretty house, and is mexican food lol
You should watch the episode a priest and a boy next; also you would probably enjoy Moral Orel
I've always thought that Moral Orel's parents and Butters' parents are very similar to each other.
move that red mic a little bit to the left.
I think the best strategy would be to kill Kenny and take his spot
i love butters!
Merry Christmas!!
Once you watch an entire season (except season 2) you should react to the commentaries. Season 1 is full length commentary, season 2 they hate because they're stupid and don't recognize their own talent, season 3 and beyond they do "commentary minis" with about 2-4 minutes per episode.
Great idea!
How about the episode Christian Rock Hard
Nice
Whoever edited this episode sucks. Ive watched 3 other people do this episode and they get rid of the funniest part. Butters dad and mom show up to kyles house and say something like , " butters is gone, we dont want to jump to any conclusions, but were afraid someone might have murdered him and fed his genitals to wild animals!" Lmao
Im not suggesting any of u guys have done it. I know better
Dude, are you r3tarded? I literally didn't cut anything out.
You're talking about "Butters' Very Own Episode", not this one.
Merry Christmas
