HEY! thank you so much for sharing this with the world! I don't have exactly the same problems with my bike, but im learning a lot by seeing what your thought process is. TNX!!!!! srry for the miss spelling ;)
I'm having a nightmare of a time with my ZX6R, it's developed a problem where it cuts out when i put the stand down, even when not in gear, clutch is pulled in still won't start. No FI warnings. Doing my nut in.
You know if the stator screws aren't tightened down completely that will also cause contact with the rotor . Judging by how loose the cover bolts were and from the sound that's probably the case . A bent crank or out of round rotor would give more of a pulsating noise not constant .
Stator doesn't look OEM either, probably been replaced with an aftermarket unit when the cover was replaced after the accident? I'd hazard a guess at the company it came from if that's the case, utter junk...
Got the same issue on Honda CBR 400 RR NC29, still didnt find the problem(( But bike didnt crushed of fallen for 5 years, just different oil. Changed from 10w40 to 10w50 synth.
Great work, unfortunate about the outcome but, it's great to retain knowledge visually through you channel 😊
Great video 👍
Wish you would post more often!
There's always something to learn 👍
Great video! Really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experiences. Looking forward to the next one.

Good stuff - thanks for taking the time to make these videos, I've learnt loads from them. Especially like these weird cases

Lucky you helped the owner not to buy a Lemon.Awesome .
Woah, they replaced stator cover but with some wrong parts like we saw on the video.
Great content as always. Did the guy not test ride it before buying ??
That was really interesting, glad the guy got a refund in the end. BTW did you find out what the bad starting issue was on the CB1000R?
lovely stuff
Sounds like a Mobylette from the ‘70s
Thanks for sharing this.

Tenacious!
you just know that bike will be flogged off to some other unsuspecting buyer
Wow, just wow. I hate that "used car salesmen" like this are still around. Bodging up a crashed bike, utter crooks.
