The reason why France believe Viet Minh cannot defeat them in Dien Bien Phu is France believe Viet Minh cannot bring heavy artillery to the hill, even if Viet Minh able to do that, they believe VM will place artillery on the hill so France will scout and destroy them easily. But VM make bunker inside hill each artillery and split them everywhere. And Piroth (Dien Bien Phu France Artillery Commander) didn't expect that then he suicide under bunker after some days.

And guess what?The US Navy played victim saying it was attacked first by the North Vietnamese speedboats. B R U H Imagine chilling as a Vietnamese in 1964 then your house,family and friends are being bombed for no reason by US Bombers..... Lots of children in Vietnam and Cambodia lost their lives :(
