Jesus, someone needs some help. Let me try: 1. Makeshift Bridges has been in the game for a good long time, not sure how you are just now finding it. This is probably also why you think Russia is impossible to break; however, it really isn't OP. It takes an entire assignable trait slot and really is only useful when crossing rivers, as your speed is always modified downward by other factors. You ideally should put it on your general with the combined highest Attack Value (taking into account planning bonus, the "green pip number"). Then, stop at the river, switch to this General, get planning bonus, click Makeshift Bridges and proceed; once across - change your general back to the highest raw attack score (that is, without planning skill). 2. Your naval invasions did not have planning bonus. Not really sure how you would expect to land without it, but you just left a 40% modifier on the table. Additionally, it helps to convoy raid for a short time first to give them the Lack of Supply De-Buff. 3. AI China is a buff to Japan so they can grind these General Traits that you are somehow just now discovering it. Banning China players is not because Japans can't break China (a player China will always beat a Japan of equal skill), but it's to give Japan some chance of winning against the Allies via well-ground General's Skills and Traits. 4. Overall, even with these tactics, the game can still get rather stagnant. This is a direct result of the 1.5+ Soft Attack re-balancing with Cornflakes. If you'd like a more fluid battlefield, consider playing a real mod...that is, one that uses 1.4 Soft Attack Values and Modifiers, namely Götterdämmerung (GDU).
