Did you say 40% developer ??? Man, I am a hairdresser, and the first rule of bleaching is never use 40% on bleaching, except highlift tints. Maybe you've got the desired result now, but his hair will be damaged later on, if your client doesn't use appropriate products to keep his hair healthy...

I guess that depends where you from, now and days pple have their own definition of haircuts but where im from a fade generally speaking is the hair blending from a shorter length to a longer length hence a "fade" and a fade could be applied into a low fade, high fade, mid fade, taper fade, burst fade, mohawk fade etc. That's what has made more sense to me and is just simplified, but feel free to name things that give you a better understanding.

20/10vol only on scalp, especially when hair is this short, the heat from scalp will do the work!
