i think madonna was considering a more guitar driven album, hence we got songs like set the right, i'm in love with love, the game, miss you, etc. and this demo was intended to be part of it. she was working with stuart price and monte pittman. however like said she plummed for a dance album, which has to be said is her best since the out standing ray of light.

That's not a Demo though but the original, which got eventually the changed for the 'Confessions' Album . It was on the 'I'm going to tell you a Secret' Documentary CD before that :-)
Originally "Love New York" was intended for the American Life album but it didn't make the final cut since it slightly different formula. But still I think that this song should ended up as a part of AL. Imagine this as a single. It could be huge with right treatment. Otherwise also love the final confessions version. 😀😀😀😀😘

It was not meant for that record. It was created during RIT rehearsals and then evolved until its Confessions counterpart.
