- Long Live Supa Mega, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes was a South African rapper, popularly known worldwide as AKA. The young father of one was slain execution style a year ago in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal. Sad that we all know who was involved in AKA’s killing but not much can be done. AKA wasn’t a gangster or a taxi owner where we can assume he had many enemies. One family had a vendetta with him. And when Tony speaks of that family not being welcomed to the Forbes home it’s evident that they also have their suspicions. Shame man, AKA was such a top lad from a good family. He didn’t deserve the card he was dealt. Hope that other KZN family gets what they due.
He got involved with a wrong partner,May God protect us from such partnerships,relationships...😢
Ppl who think that other family in Dbn is responsible for this are assuming that that family blames AKA for her death. If they blame AKA then they're very selfish, her own mom committed suicide when Anele was young so she had depression growing up just like her mom, Google Lulu Tembe, also Google Anele suicide attempt at Radisson hotel, 4 months before it sadly happened in Cape Town there's even a video of her attempting to jump, they knew their daughter had mental health issues and chose TO keep quite when AKA was being vilified. I know Tony said South Africa is mourning AKA but let me assure you the rest of the world is mourning him too, he was taken so brutally and I can’t imagine what his loved ones have been going through. RIP AKA❤

Who ever took Aka away from us really took our happiness ,as a coloured kid that grew up in joburg he was a inspiration,through his music I felt connected and happy , I always felt like he was my big brother that was out there making it and so to tony Forbes and the Forbes family thank you for giving us kiarnan, he really inspired us more to do better, he carried South Africa in is heart he made sure that we all become proud of this beautiful nation …….long live super mega live long

It’s a bit comforting to see bits of him on earth even though his no longer around but it hurts that we’ll never see him in real time again. It’s a bittersweet experience 🙏🏾

I love how he corrected the presenter when she said how did you feel about making Lynn pregnant, and he said we were BOTH pregnant. And when he said he told Kiernan "do the right thing, don't make the mother of your child to be a liar. That's a man of integrity.
Hope SA dads are watching ....so much to learn here....love; nurture and know everything about your kids, down to their every song.
Great stuff, All the way from Windhoek, Namibia we still love AKA gone too soon but never forgotten. He was a real inspiration on Africañ continent.
Crazy to think that I'm watching this interview on the 10 of Feb, and he died on this day last year. May his soul rest in peace. What a musical genius 😢?! We lost him too soon.

Yooh! It's difficult to be a parent. They knew that that relationship was toxic,but had to allow lobola negotiations bcs it was their sons choice. This is very deep.Judging by wht he said here,its clear that they knew that this relationship was toxic. Guys pls leave such relationship,bcs anything can happen eventually. 36 minutes in, I love how wholesome this interview is. You manage to engage Toni on who he is ,his life how he reflects on his family while bringing in the entire family dynamic. We get a chunk of Kiernan's story, where he came from. We already know who he was outside of his family. So this enterview generally is something we would only get from his parents. I love how many references his dad makes to his music. He knows AKAs story for real.Great job ❤
