Love hearing your heart and honesty. It's refreshing to hear what you're experiencing, seeing, feeling and how you're adjusting. I pray God's joy will be your strength, His peace goes before you and the Holy Spirit gives you create solutions to all that the Lord asks you to do. Blessings and prayers from the US.
Thank you for sharing and I appreciate your genuineness. That the Liberian English is so hard to understand -- yes I can see how that would be such a barrier to everything. I think what you were realizing with the woman in the wheelchair outside of the place where you shop, and what happens if her wheelchair breaks, etc., is that you realize the extremely precarious position she is in (and multitudes like her) and that while at this moment, she may be "okay," she most definitely soon, will not be. I do get the enormity of what you walk in daily.
Hi Margot, just came across your vlog. It must be so hard to be apart from your sons and family. Just read Steve's story of you helping a man on the street! You go woman of God! Blessings Tricia Holmes xo
Well done Margot! Despite what you say, a great blog, showing your heart and vulnerability. So glad you have your joy! Keep them coming. It gives us background to your living conditions too.
Yes, we have had it provided for us by a few different charities. Orphan Aid recently donated us a fair bit. It comes from UNICEF I think, but not for free. We currently have a fundraiser going for our malnutrition clinic. You can find the link on my personal (Margot Biggs) facebook page if you're interested.
Margot, are you saying over never really acclimates to the climate? If so, bummer! Honesty is always best, as it shows you too are human. As another mom in the later stage (5 years of empty nest, although 2x we've opened our lives and home to women in need during transition) , you remind us all to keep actively open to responding to God's opportunity to be His hands and feet.
Great to see your face and hear your voice. Hugs and prayers!

Is there a ministry that provides the "plumpy nut" or emergency supplements for infants/children?
