    ___
P.S. In certain parts of the video, there are a few minor graphical errors regarding the flags. This is due to the fact that the video had over 1,000 (~1,700) layers, which caused Adobe After Effects to completely glitch out, making it impossible for me to fix a few of the graphical errors with the flags. This is also the main reason as to why this video took several months to complete, as the After Effects glitches made production extremely slow. But, after reconsidering giving up on this video, I decided to power through it and it's now complete, so I hope you all enjoyed.
This is also one of the reasons the video is sponsored, because, despite getting millions of views every month, RUclips pays a bafflingly low amount of money per thousand views (I get about 5 hundredths of a penny per view), as I have a very international audience, which is not appealing to many advertisers. This means I cannot financially sustain myself off this channel alone, and a project like this would simply not be worth it from a financial standpoint as I have bills to pay and people to take care of, which is why this video really was made possible by Bytro Labs, but not the main reason as to why it was sponsored by them, because, like I mentioned in the video, I really do only select sponsors that I believe would be relevant to my audience and that I genuinely have a positive opinion on, and if it was 99% of other companies I would not have taken them as a sponsor.

@@mr.benlivephan6473 In 1919, after the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, Ferdinand Foch is reported to have said "This is not a peace, it is an armistice for twenty years". However, contrary to popular misconception, Foch didn't think that the treaty was too harsh, but that it was too lenient to where he considered it a capitulation. Foch wanted terms that were harsh enough to prevent Germany from being able to wage another major war, and in particular wanted to occupy the Rhineland in Western Germany. This would not only be a buffer zone to protect France and Belgium, but because it was the bulk of Germany's industrial base occupying it would let them prevent German remilitarization.
There is one issue though, which is that the earliest source for this quote was written by Winston Churchill in 1948. We know that Foch didn't like the treaty and that he was concerned with renewed German militarism, but we don't know if he actually made that prediction. It's possible that he only expressed a general concern and through either the telephone game or someone wanting to make the story more dramatic, the general concern was written down as a more specific prediction after the fact.

It was shocking, sickening, to see the decline in numbers at the front, as the dead piled up. From 3,000,000 on each side on the Western Front in June 1916 to literally half that, 1,500,000 on each side in June 1918 -- even with the arrival of the American Expeditionary Force. The great European nations were indeed running out of men.

The Czechoslovak Legion (Czech: Československé legie; Slovak: Československé légie) were volunteer armed forces comprised predominantly of Czechs and Slovaks[1] fighting on the side of the Entente powers during World War I and the White Army during the Russian Civil War until November 1919. Their goal was to win the support of the Allied Powers for the independence of Lands of the Bohemian Crown from the Austrian Empire and of Slovak territories from the Kingdom of Hungary, which were then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. With the help of émigré intellectuals and politicians such as the Czech Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk and the Slovak Milan Rastislav Štefánik, they grew into a force over 100,000 strong.

The map is deceptive for this point. The Spring Offensive in March 1918 was the final opportunity for Germany to win the war before too many American troops arrived and before Germany's domestic issues crumbled the army. Both the entente and the Germans were at breaking point in terms of manpower and economic collapse by 1918's beginning; the saving grace for the entente was 250k Americans arriving every month to the western front. The Spring Offensive was an utter failure and when the window of opportunity had closed by June 1918, the war was lost. Entente leaders in France and Britain were fearful of a German victory in 1917 (when america had entered the war, but had not fielded any soldiers), but not after. Germany was in a race against the clock from mid-1917 onwards; the entente were not. The German victory in the east simply came too late.
