  • Gaisce - The President’s Award is delighted to launch our new Gaisce SUAS Bursary Fund!
We sat down with four President's Award Leaders who previously received the bursary. Thank you to Lorraine Thompson (Killinarden Community School), Maureen Lee (Irish Wheelchair Association, Athlone), Cathreen Sherlock (SMART Project, Trim), and Niamh Rafferty (Cherry Orchard Integrated Youth Service) for taking part in this video.
Gaisce SUAS, supported by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and other philanthropic supporters, aims to reduce barriers for young people facing marginalisation or difficult circumstances to participate in the Gaisce Award programme.
With a total fund of €75,000, distributed across two strands, "Uplift" and "Youth Justice," up to €1,000 is available per organisation to cover participant costs, including Adventure journey expenses, challenge area costs and accessibility support for those with additional needs.
This initiative reflects Gaisce's commitment to inclusion, equality, and expanding access to the programme for all young people.
