With how the Batman 2 script is being delayed and how they're green lighting these side projects which involves Reeves,I feel like Reeves has finally decided on merging the Reeves verse w DCU.
Bro i I've liked batman since I was born I've been into comics n the lore since I could fathom life, I aint nvr said I wanted a clayface movie yea he's cool n im not sayin they shouldn't but this is the start of the universe r we really gonna have just superman supergirl as flagship superheros movies in the dcu I think if more projects were out ppl would care less. I will say the batman cartoon clayface is peak
I remember watching that Clayface episode back when it first aired in the 90s after school and also being very high. Too bad they've got talentless goofs like Gunn running things now. What a waste. Warner Brothers seem to be self sabotaging .. And it's clear James Gunn doesn't respect the source material and also thinks his audience are stupid. He's laughing at them.

I don't like his style when it comes to these mainline heroes. I don't think he's the right fit for Superman. Maybe Plastic Man or Howard the Duck .. Bat-Mite? ... He's definitely not the 'GOAT' .. I don't find the stuff he's done for the major studios with these huge IPs to be that funny. I don't laugh at his stuff and he's essentially making comedies. It's part of the reason I got sick of Marvel. Too much of this idea that 'Yeah, we know that, you know, and We know this stuff is stupid ." Wink Wink .. Get it? Get it?" ... and on top of that the writing is bad. He's watered himself down for the mainline crowd and it just doesn't work. I have ZERO interest in his DC movies. I turned off his Suicide Squad movie mid way through and quit watching Monster Squad after the 2nd episode.. Not going back to finish it because it's just bland and uninteresting. I liked Slither a lot though .. I thought that movie was funny. Spoofing B movie horror .. I think that's more his bag. I guess his writing was ok on Dawn of the Dead too because I like that movie.
Im hoping the dcu has more or a hopeful batman who tries to rehibilate his rogues, id be cool to have batman as the antagonist trying to stop clayface from getting revenge and ending with batman trying to help him, i personally like the redeemed clayface

Elseworld for Batman2, but not Elseworld for SnyderVerse is quite unfair. I can’t wait to see James Gunn DCU.. must be awesome! But I definitely hope to see SnyderVerse somehow finish the stories
I don't mind a Clayface movie, I mind a Clayface movie purposely avoiding heroes like Batman. Joker, Venom, Morbius, Kraven, and Penguin to a degree all avoid being set in worlds with a Batman or active Gotham. We don't want it, need it, or look for these films to live up to half of their potential.
The problem with these projects is that these are more targeted to fans. The general audience won't really show up in their numbers to see this (unless Batman is involved)... The DCU needs to establish itself as a juggernaut before delving into these niche projects. Guardians of the Galaxy did well because by the time it came out Marvel could do no wrong at that time

Don't want matt reeves overseeing batman stuff. All he is gonna do is keep things grounded. Batman is a comic book character like all of the rest. He will not make batman cooler.
I think it's mainly to do with the movie than the casting. Patinson probably could be a good Batman .. but the movie sucks. So it doesn't matter in the end.

I don't think they're wasting his potential. By committing to keeping the penguin and the batman and anything else they make separate from the dcu, they are giving the opportunity for the universe to flourish on it's own. In my opinion, they need to have a batman in their dcu and I'm sure at any other point in cinematic history they would have completely buried Pattison's universe as to not confuse audiences. The fact that they're letting the two coexist and not merging them or killing one is surprising to me and I don't know if part 2 would be coming any faster if gunn hadn't taken over.
