As Ross swims towards one of the most exposed parts of the Scottish coast, a tangle in the sail causes panic on-board Hecate. Ross also explains how he is keeping his motivation levels up after last week’s World Record celebrations.

I actually find it quite annoying that this swim isn't NATIONAL NEWS!!! What your doing is amazing and each and every press outlet should be following what your doing! When all there is out there at the moment is bad news, this man gives everyone that inspiration and, even though he looks in pain sometimes, shows all out there that they can achieve anything when they put their mind to it! Inspirational to say the least Ross, keep it up and we are with you on every part of your swim. Keep smiling brother!!!!

Bad News sells, who cares if one guy is swimming around Scotland? Good for him but why would anyone want to hear that on the News??
Because Lewis Pugh is getting national news for doing a 350 mile swim and Ross isn’t for doing so much more! And there is always good/uplifting news at the end of most shows on news anyway! My point is he is inspiring many people
@@tomwoodcraft5442 what you don't want to do is inspire people to swim in the sea off the Scottish coast, or swim around the UK. 99.9999% of people will never do anything like this,it's pretty pointless really, the reason we don't swim around the UK is we have invented far safer and faster ways of doing it. I'm not hating on him, if he wants to do it good for him but most people won't care one bit.

Ever since I heard you speak the phrase “get comfortable being uncomfortable”, it’s become a mantra I’ve lived by in my training. It’s amazing to see you putting your own philosophy to the test in the absolute toughest way it could be. You are an incredible inspiration, because you do things no one else could ever do.

Hey Ross,
when I told my friends about what you're doing, they didn't really feel like it's an achievement, they felt like what you're doing is not doing good to the world. And they just wouldn't understand, but to me you're a real inspiration. I think everyone who does sports will know what it's like to fight with your own body and mind. And I think it applies to every situation in life that you just have to keep going and fighting for your personal goals. And then seeing what you are doing and how you are fighting is a real inspiration to me. Thank you for what you're doing and know that you make a difference!

All love and praise to Ross, but can I just take my hat off to the Captain and crew. Absolute legends. Whole enterprise without that total unit of a Captain would be a non-starter. You can see it in his eyes and hands that he was built different and brings everything necessary to help Ross shine.

Last weekend I ran my first half marathon. Anytime I thought about stopping or quitting I reminded myself that Ross if is swimming for 12 hours a day and I can dang well run for 2 hours. Your an inspiration regardless of whether there are media crews and champagne or not.

It´s 2021 now and I watch this a 2nd time. It´s really fascinating especially while Reading „The Art of Resilience“. Agewise I could be your dad, mindwise I think we feel similar. My mates of my age start obeying the course of time called „age“. I really am aware of the years I have been living so far but I feel there are quite a few to come. Your lifestyle and humour should be prescribable (I am General practitioner) to all those people giving themselves up to a life without movement, loads of sugar, salt and saturated fatty acids. To sum it up: stay motivated, I love your adventure reports.
