      I just bought a 455 Rancher because I could only get the updated 460. The 455 still hasn't been updated? I don't like the new caps, new choke control button and clips that secure the top cover.

      @@edwardabrahamiii3742 maybe I'm slow to change but I go with if it ain't broken don't fix it. And for those plastic clips as the saw ages they will get brittle and in the extreme cold I will use it in brittle & cold isn't a good combination. And I also still like 2 bar nuts.

    Bought a Husky 450 Rancher and used it 7 times, and now it leaks oil like crazy!!

    • @hnorrstrom
      @hnorrstrom Год назад

      Where does it leak? From the seal in the middle of the body/handle or through the oiler hole to the bar?
      Do you have oil with very low viscosity or use it in a very hot climate?

    • @dundeeecroc
      @dundeeecroc Год назад

      @@hnorrstrom Thanks for your response! it seems to leak directly underneath the Husky 450 Rancher 20 in saw, I used it back in April of this year, filled both chambers up with the 10-39 oil and husky "gas" in a can. sat for a few months through the summer, I picked up the saw, oil was everywhere, in a puddle, could it be from filling both chambers full.... and the temperature changes over time and full of pressure? and forces the oil to leak?

    • @hnorrstrom
      @hnorrstrom Год назад

      I wouldn't worry too much if you had it stored for that long in shifting temperatures and it leaks from where the oiler hole to the bar is. These pumps leaks on all saws if they stand with a full oil tank long enough.
      Better store it not full or on some rug.
      However if the 450 has a gasket and a joint in the chassis underneath and it's leaking from that you may want to take it to a dealer.
      I'm not sure how the 450 is constructed, I just have a bunch of older Husqvarna saws.

    Sounds like the 450 has a problem throwing chains - must have seen 10 complaints - it often ruins the drive sprocket , too.
    Have had a 435 for 13 years - never threw a chain , in over 80 chains used. Why doesn't Husqvarna fix this ?

      My new 450 has thrown 3 chains that were properly tensioned. Each time i needed to get a file out to get the chain to ride in the bar correctly again. So frustrating

    This should be called the worst husqvarna saws for 2023. Husqvarna's best saws are the xp's. If you're new to saws and looking to buy one don't take advice from this video.

    • @hnorrstrom
      @hnorrstrom Год назад +1

      I fully agree these are not professional saws.
      However it all depends on why you need it and what you pay for it.
      They would likely work perfect for most people that runs a saw 10hours a year.
      With that said I own 12(?) Husqvarna saws all xp/xpg.
      And I would rather buy a used pro saw if I didn't have the budget.

      @@chevysilver-ray-dough6328 Funny , having read the video title I see no where where they said best for professional timber use , just best saw . By that I gathered they are speaking to homeowner use so there is no deception of any kind . Perhaps using a bit of common sense would go a long way for you . Husqvarnas pro saws are just not necessary for a person using once or twice a year !!

    • @ickster23
      @ickster23 Год назад +1

      @@hnorrstromThey repeatedly say "homeowner". Homeowners usually don't need a professional saw, just like your average car driver doesn't need a F1.
