I own the 2012 G37x ...previously had an '05 Nissan 350Z. IMO, this is a very stylish, fun and quick car. What the reviewer failed to mention is that the G37x AWD is only available with the 7 speed auto trans , it's a trade-off if you need the AWD capabilities and you live in areas where it snows. You CAN get a regular G37 RWD with 6 speed manual. I say you should drive the car ...either a used G37x or G37, or a new Q60 and make up your own mind as this review isn't incredibly helpful.
I have a 2012 G37 coupe Journey. I cleaned the throttle body and air filters. Just doing those two simple things gave her instant throttle response! No more lag! Just a suggestion.
Your review was very helpful! Thank you so much. I noticed the car has low torque as well but now I see it's just by design. I thought something was wrong with the car because my Hyundai Sonata Turbo drives more sporty in my opinion. Thanks again!
another rookie reviewer who doesnt know what he is talking about. I have put 130,000 miles on my 2012 G37x coupe and it was painiful to sit thru this nonsense.
Great question! It all depends on your budget, but I would lean towards no. This is an expensive car to maintain. Also, a lot of the work that will go into this car during ownership will have to be done at a dealer or garage. Parts are more expensive and it is a bit more risky to play around. However, if you have the money, and want a fun car or awd, definitely check it out. Lastly, this car has a personality, it definitely doesn't have any turbo qualities in drive so the power comes at a higher rev range which is an acquired taste. People either love it or hate it!
@@AutoEnthusiast and your right about the maintenance on it being expensive, but if you take care of it good and not drive it crazy or anything,it shouldn’t have no problems
i have a 2013 Volkswagen CC i am currently looking to trade it for this would you recommend that i do a little more research or should i just drop $5000 on this for a down payment?
I've driven both a fair amount. The g37x is definitely quicker than the awd cts. I feel like the car is a bit tighter as well. Ride is more comfortable in the cts but I like tighter g37x better for a more sporty feel. Visibility is better in the infinity and both have about the same amount of room inside. Overall I like the way the g37x drives better than the cts awd.

are these cars reliable past 90k? coming from a 3 series seems like any others maintenence is less and cheaper but just like to find out. also looking at the g35 and 350z. thanks

g37x with 7 speed auto has fastest stock 0-60 out of all the models..
I have this exact one. 0-60 5.6 was for the initial 2008 with the 5-speed RWD, the 2009-2013 7-speed AWD "X" is 5.3 (auto) 4.9 (manual mode)

Do more research!
This is a “large” vehicle!?!?
how would you compare it with the CTS?

It would run faster if he takes the shift gear to his left to feel the turbo 😉👍
The q37 coupe isn't turbocharged unfortunately
Check out the 2011 G37x Coupe!
