It is apparent that horror stories of Kenyan domestic workers being abused and even killed in the Middle East will not end any time soon. Despite news of Kenyans being tortured, raped and even killed, jobless Kenyans -- most of them young women -- continue to queue at airports to go and seek ‘greener pastures’ in the Gulf countries. While it is in order of anyone to seek employment anywhere in today’s globalised world, it is preposterous for the government to continue allowing desperate Kenyans to go and work in countries where brutality against domestic workers appears to be the norm rather than the exception. Hellen is just but one of the many women who've had to endure painful experiences in the hands of Saudi Arabian employers who care less about human rights. To get in touch with Hellen, +254707901246

I worked at the airport for 3years and saw Kenyan girls return mentally disturbed from Saudia, others came back as cargo(dead) others landed with no shoes or decent clothing.the things I saw😢 nobody should go to Saudi Arabia as a domestic worker.when they are leaving for Saudia you see them in their new t shirts and hijabs and brand new passports with alot of hope you feel pity and say a silent prayer for our girls.pole sana mama am so sorry 😢😢

Got us thinking she could be out of the country. And the most probable destination from Mombasa for ladies is Saudi. I hope you got the background.

What an angel this woman is, really. She is a kind, strong, resilient and pure spirit to say the least. How unfortunate it was for such a soul to endure so so much from such a young age. My heart breaks for her. She however was not fated to suffer all her life and I just pray the doors she's been waiting for finally opens and light shines through them for her as she did for us in this video. I pray for goodness, greatness and healing for her. She deserves pure joy and peace. I'll never forget her and I'll never forget this video.

Niliporudi chumbani hotelini nilikuta nguo za mtoto wangu zimeibiwa. Hata ukimwuliza mtu njia anakupuuza. Huko Saudi hakuna Ubalozi wa Kenya?. she does not take responsibility; FOR HER OWN . numerous times she had "she had no choice" = but she did
I will be in mourning for my cousin in Kenya
I will be in mourning for the Saudi Arabian family
its a shame what happen to them. THERE ARE NO 1ST PRICE FOR VICTIM-HOOD.
she carries a "doormat energy"; she may have a greedy selfish mother; because how you let your 11 year old not live with you?
in Kenya she is a victim; in S.A she is a victim ; where the father in her son's life.?
..............they same way her mom hand her over to the world with no care : she will hand over her son to the world
she could make more than %$250 a month on RUclips or tiktok = with this story and she had it off to another.

hearing your strory reminds me of history of slavery... it is our own people who sell their own to slavery.... your employer knew the kind of employer she was but did not warn you, your agents know the kind of life there is yet they still send people there and finally even ourselves sometimes despite all the horror stories people still are adamant and go to those places.... they say sometimes if we will not learn from other peoples experiences we will have to go through the same experience to learn...... many are warned against saudia but still go,I dont what can be done because the way people describe those employers in Saudia its like they are not human... too much animosity. Am glad you managed to get out of that place ... may God open financial breakthrough in a safe place and heal your heart.
