I'm applying to graduate school for urban and regional planning with an emphasis on sustainable design! I love this video and your editing skills are on point girl!! So good! New sub here!
Thank you & glad you liked it 🙂 Regarding your question: I’m not sure if UoM offer internships embedded in the course but I know a lot of companies do offer placements / short-term / summer opportunities for students, so be on the look out. Alternatively, just email companies with your CV asking for internships, I know that’s what I did 😩 Hope this helps x
i was so excited to find this vid! i don’t come across very many urban designer vlogs, and with it being a field im heavily considering, i really enjoy watching what a possible day of mine in the future could be like. really happy i found your channel :D
@@haera7142 Hellooooo, unfortunately I didn’t do Alevels but like an alternative certification because I did it abroad. It was like a foundations degree in Media and design so it was actually very unrelated to architecture or even planning 😅😅. Afterwards I did my Bsc in Architectural Technology and my Masters in Urban Design 😊
Nice video sis! Your editing skills sre on point. Ive thought about becoming an urban designer but after watching this video I dont want to anymore ❤❤. Love from the Netherlands ❤️
You’re so cute! Wish I could have ramen & chat with ya. 4 years ago when I graduated architecture school I had the goal of becoming an Urban Designer. To start I focused on the Urban… community development & innovation; and have yet to professionally do any Design at the urban scale. Ironically I’ve come to youtube to refocus my career.
Hello ! My most recent video (vlog 06) covers my journey to becoming an urban designer. It’s a Q&A session I did midway of the video. I hope it answers any questions you might have, but let me know if you have any more questions 😊
I’m about to graduate with a degree in digital design and found urban design/planning interesting to pursue . I want to complete my masters internationally , but I wanted to ask someone who has a background in the career.
Hello ! In my experience; you’ll just need to have a MASTERS in urban design to get into the career. Your previous background doesn’t really matter but helps in your understanding of desigj
i am currently studying computer science and this feild excites me but i know nothing about it ... i just don't know what to do can u guide me i am in 3 year of my undergraduate degree
Hello ! I’m glad you found my videos useful. And I’m happy you find Urban design interesting, it really is such a fulfilling career and you get to play a part in designing and shaping our urban environment 😊✅ Moving from computer science to architecture/design is a massive leap, so I do recommend taking time to research and be well-informed before making the decision. But if you’re interested, all you need is a degree in urban design, in your case I would suggest a Masters, and you can begin your career as an urban designer 🥹 I hope this helps, stay tuned for more urban design content 🤧
Hi I'm currently doing my university applications (and want to be an urban designer), is it better for me to do an architectural undergrad or go straight into an urban design degree
Hello ! It’s really up to you. You can do an architectural degree and then do your masters in urban design ! You’ll just need an urban design qualification to kick start your career
I’m about to enter 6 form but was interested on pursuing a career in urban planning but I’m not sure if it’s worth it could you give some insight pls❤️😭
Hellooo, thank you for your question. Just to clarify, urban planning and urban design is slightly different and depending on which is your area of interest I am happy to advise. Urban design is such an exciting and rewarding career. I was abit skeptical at first but I am passionate about design and architecture especially how we can play a part in reforming our urban environment. Urban designers are like placemakers / space makers; we design beautiful, inclusive and sustainable places / spaces that people want to live, play and work in. It’s a mix of architecture and landscape design and has elements of geography/ spatial planning. ❤️👌🏻 I would advise you to establish what your interests are in and what career would suit you best. That would help you pick the right subjects and guide you to make the right decision. ☺️👍🏻
oh wow, not a single useful thing in the whole entire video, so cool. why would anyone want to see an average day of an average person? we came here to learn what URBAN PLANNERS do during their work time
Hello, aw that’s sad to hear you didn’t find anything useful. Just to remind you that I am not an urban planner. But I am sure if you search elsewhere you’ll be able to find a more useful video to suit your expectations. Thank you x
