Normally no one falls there where he lost front at the beginning of braking on the fast lefthander and slided on the other side. Everyone til now is loosing front at the end of braking for the right turn Lycee and goes on the other side of track. Very unusual. That barrier was never a problem till today.
Se non sbaglio è dove Zarco prese dell'incopetente da Valentino perchè più o meno gli successe la stessa caduta di Toprak.
Quelle barriere (fatte male) servono ad impedire che la moto riattraversi la pista!

La sicurezza assoluta è impossibile. Modificare troppo le piste le snatura, come Assen per esempio, che è ancora bella, ma prima era uno spettacolo. Correre in moto è pericoloso. Sempre.
Rivedendo bene e sentendo anche quanto detto da Rea, quel muretto serve ad evitare che una moto ritorni in pista dopo una scivolata, il fatto è che quantomeno andrebbe ricoperto di airfence, perché quando invece di una moto ci finisce un pilota, serve un miracolo come in questo caso.
Toprak ha rischiato di brutto a sto giro, da modificare subito.

Not needless at all. That barrier would stop a bike going straight across the track, like what happened at MotoGP Austria a few years ago. It's just the design of the end of it that clearly needs work

Incredibly lucky and a testament to how good the gear has become. I think the FIM should take a serious look at this track. It almost claimed the life of the face of WSBK. Terrible track.

I guess the FIM safety board overlooked the plainly obvious dangers of crashing a motorcycle on that part of the track, time for the idiots to wake-up...it was a pure fluke that Toprak's crash was not more serious.
