    Great video. Explains the basic concepts well, so you can do your own research to dive into it deeper. For those who think he speaks too fast: Why not use Playback Speed = 0.75? 😉

    I like this Video, within a short period of time you can learn a lot of things. it is very good for those who know a little bit about SQL. You are doing a great job for a new student in SQL ( DBA ) course.

    Hi Andrew, just wanted to say I'm a great fan of your work. I'm educated as a teacher, and you are definitely the most pedagogical instructor on RUclips! Looking forward to the SQL videos!

    What a wonderful tutorial! We use SqlServer quite heavily where I recently started working, and I felt completely lost and dependent on the DB Administrator for anything to do with users, roles, logins, schemas,; hell I didn't even understand what a database principal meant! Up until now, because after watching this tutorial, I went back to work and did a thorough investigation in our database server of all the server-level and database-level principals and the permissions granted, and I was ecstatic that I finally understood everything! Thank you so much Andrew!

    Andrew is excellent at explaining things so I know it's my problem but I'm completely bamboozled by this video, and also a little bit scared of locking myself out of the server, I think I can under users and roles but schema has me completely flummoxed.

    Funny-this strikes me as being far more complex than other matters that the presenter has treated previously and called "complex", yet he interestingly does NOT call complex here.

    Hello Andrew, i followed exactly what you've done to create a new user, However i fail to login with it with the same error as in 19:50
    I double checked the server authentication more and it is SQL Server and windows, the database is at the server and i'm trying to login from my computer.
    When i give it "sysadmin" role it connects successfully, but that also gives the user all permissions no matter what i select as deny afterwards ! can you please help me here ? it's very important

    really nice tutorial! :)
    I'm really new to this and i have a probably stupid question, if I shut down my computer/laptop, will the sql server keep running or is it local and shuts down too?

    • @BronzezWithAttitudes

      So if my website is constantly using one of my databases and its shut down its not synchronysing anymore right? Do you know a way to get around this, or is the only option to have your computer running for 24 hours? :(

    Why are you talking too fast? To teach something you need to be slow and steady

    • @plekkchand
      @plekkchand 5 лет назад

      He's not speaking too fast. And he doesn't need you to tell him how to teach- he's quite good at it. Slow down the video, if you feel challenged.

    • @borkasiamese4617
      @borkasiamese4617 4 года назад
