Also, just as a data point, after my first annual fee posted, I was able to product change this card into the PR, TR, CCR, or the Unlimited Cash. I was also told that the points DO NOT transfer with product changes (including the PR card) so definitely make sure to use all the points up before making the switch when you do 👍!

Some might say it's not worth paying $550.00 in annual fees. It is worth it if you pay the estimated tax with the card. But you have to be at the elite customer level, the bank gives you an extra 75% in points. The points from heavy usage will more than offset the little fee they charge. It helps if you are B of A diamond or Diamond plus tier. If you are not well-to-do but just looking for a show-off card, this is not it. 550 per year in fees will bite your ass.

Yes brother, you can downgrade your credit card to any cards including the co branding cards as quick as you receive your bonus, but you can’t upgrade till you finish 366 days.
So I got the Bofa Premium Rewards card in august of 2022 and hit the bonus september 2022, so I don't need to wait a year before downgrading it? Or should I wait till the next annual fee posts?

I think product changes are allowed, though I can't confirm 100% as I haven't tried it. I also don't know if BOA allows switching to any card you want, or only select products and/or via targeted offers.
Mark, can you show off the Bank of America Travel portal with this card? I don’t think it’s been covered at all, minus the cursory 20% talking point. The Elite card needs something extra after the first year double dip to cover its cost IMO.
I think the BOA Elite is better if you (a) prefer cash back and (b) are in the Preferred Rewards program at the Platinum Honors tier or higher. I think the Amex Platinum Card is better if you (a) Prefer travel rewards and (b) can use enough of the benefits to justify the annual fee.

Yes. However, you don't need to add AUs in order to give them access to Priority Pass. This is a very unique card that allowed you to activate up to 4 Priority Pass memberships _without_ adding AUs first.

I personally don't care about the type of Visa very much. It mostly has to do with the level of insurance protections (Visa Infinite tends to give the best coverages).

Hey i how a question i just applied for the new chase freedom rise credit card on the 16th and it was pending and probably still is so i called chase a few times and the first time i believe the lady said i was approved but has to undergo girther review if i heard her correctly so then i called the people that handles the application she gave me the number to and they said its undergoing further review and ill hear back 7 to 10 days is that a good thing last time i applied for it was last month i think when i was at 665 now its 1 point from 690 which is a seriously long way from i dont even know where cause a few months well 4 months ago i didn't know my score but thats good i guess any idea if ill be approved

It's totally fine to analyze the credit card itself and tell viewers if it's a good one or not (though most credit card personalities just read to you what's on the issuers website. There is usually next to no actually analysis of the information). But these unboxing videos are completely superfluous. Who cares what box the card comes in? @@MarkReese they declined a downgrade to a custom cash, only travel rewards or premium travel rewards. Others may have different data points, but that’s my experience. It’s a one to two years card though, it’s definitely not on the level of something like a USBank altitude reserve.
Interesting. Stan the Frog posted a video just a few months back about this and reported BofA told him his options were to downgrade to PR, TR, CCR, and UCR.
It's silly people care about the packaging the cards came in and the sounds they make when dropping them and the weight of the card. Only the rewards matter. I'd rather have a cardboard card mailed to me in a paper envelope with a high Cashback than a titanium metal card that sounds like a hammer hitting an anvil that was mailed to me in an elegantly carved wooden box with mediocre rewards.
@@CheekyBird790 Metal cards do damage to credit card terminals that cost hundreds of dollars to replace. Being plastic, themselves, they were designed around the idea that cards would be made of plastic. Of course, the cost of repairing/replacing those terminals is added to the prices we pay. And cards expire and get replaced after a few years. Imagine the metal wasted as millions of metal cards are made, most which are not recycled for fear of leaking the credit card numbers on them.
@@CheekyBird790 well, the card companies keep your number the same (unless it's been compromised). And terminals should not need to be replaced this often. One credit card terminal broke after a couple of months, and it costs more to replace a terminal ($799) than replacing a plastic card. The real solution would be to make the terminals out of a stronger metal than the metal cards, scratching the metal card instead of the terminal.

@@MarkReese they declined a downgrade to a custom cash, only travel rewards or premium travel rewards. Others may have different data points, but that’s my experience. It’s a one to two years card though, it’s definitely not on the level of something like a USBank altitude reserve.

Interesting. Stan the Frog posted a video just a few months back about this and reported BofA told him his options were to downgrade to PR, TR, CCR, and UCR.

It's silly people care about the packaging the cards came in and the sounds they make when dropping them and the weight of the card.
Only the rewards matter. I'd rather have a cardboard card mailed to me in a paper envelope with a high Cashback than a titanium metal card that sounds like a hammer hitting an anvil that was mailed to me in an elegantly carved wooden box with mediocre rewards.
@@CheekyBird790 Metal cards do damage to credit card terminals that cost hundreds of dollars to replace. Being plastic, themselves, they were designed around the idea that cards would be made of plastic.
Of course, the cost of repairing/replacing those terminals is added to the prices we pay.
And cards expire and get replaced after a few years. Imagine the metal wasted as millions of metal cards are made, most which are not recycled for fear of leaking the credit card numbers on them.
It's definitely silly.
@@CheekyBird790 well, the card companies keep your number the same (unless it's been compromised). And terminals should not need to be replaced this often. One credit card terminal broke after a couple of months, and it costs more to replace a terminal ($799) than replacing a plastic card. The real solution would be to make the terminals out of a stronger metal than the metal cards, scratching the metal card instead of the terminal.

A excellent and even freaking idea to bring into the table let’s say but videos saying a definition in the financial life and world like why, for what, how and reasons in explanations of the financial life and world for each person so since there’s people of any age building or re-building credit history and boosting for a higher credit score so why not subject even topics in what is financial life and world for anyways.
