Spectacular SAB GOBLIN RAW 580 Jeff!!! A Fantastic & great flying Goblin RAW with enough Power to Challenge you expert Pilots!!!! As always, My Best to Dad, Grandparents, your beautiful Wife & Daughter and of course... You Jeff! ❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
Hey Larry! Thank you very much, greatly appreciate it. I do absolutely love this machine! Everyone is doing well, I hope everyone is well in your family and best wishes to everyone.
That's a great word you used, "Connected". You fly amazing with everything. However, when you are flying the 580 RAW it looks like it's "In Tune" with you, and your unique 3D style. I'm so glad you did this vid, because I KNOW I'm one of the ones always asking you if the RAW is still your Go To heli. Thanks Jeff!
It’s true, the model is just one with my fingers. I don’t know exactly what it is, but it is just an extension of my fingers. Ever since I flew the very first one that I built I knew that this is one how it got there that had to stay in my collection and I have three of them now lol 6s, 12s and nitro! It is a very thought out machine. It flies extremely stable and well. Yes! You are one that definitely asks a lot lol but it is definitely still my favorite.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I'm considering buying a RAW 500 or 580. I'm worried about the size of the 580 (it's actually the size of the 600). I fly short, I have an OMP M4 MAX. Can I ask you if the RAW 500 is suitable for comfortable flying and is well visible. Thank you very much.
@ both are fantastic models! The RAW 580 is definitely bigger then the RAW 500. Personally I chose the RAW 580 but if size is a problem then definitely go with the RAW 500. You can’t go wrong with either model. Both are fantastic and fly amazing. The RAW 500 is easy to see, great power and flys like a bigger helicopter.
Awesome ! Thanks Jeff, been thinking about the XNova too, will definitely go for it for this one, though the scorpion I have on my Gaui X5 runs reasonably better, but for this one will go with XNova 👍, thanks again Jeff, much appreciated
Run my 580 on 8S 4500mah packs and it's perfect. I have 3700mah packs to really keep the weight down and it's almost 'too' light because it gets so floaty. 8S 4500mah, 5 minutes of good smack, everything comes in nice and cool, and it's a dream. Easily my favorite helicopter to fly. I like flying my 700s more because they are more impressive (sound and size) but my 580 is my favorite to fly as it just FEELS so good.
I have thought about trying 8s! What KV motor are you running? I’ve got plenty of 8s packs (from the speed heli’s) I would just need to put a Hobbywing 150. I love 700s but 550/580 helis are my favorite for sure!
@westhobbiesrc8051 lightning 830kv with the hobbywing 150. Crank the PI settings in the hobbywing up 2 points each and She'll do whatever you ask of her without breaking a sweat
Funny that the ancient Raptor 30 was a 550 size helicopter. Now you have 550 size with 700 power. A 550 is just the right size. Big enough to see and easy to transport
@@bradfriedman9398 man I remember those days! I actually still have two Raptor 50s. One scale and one regular “3D” lol helicopters have come a long long way!
I have not, I put it aside and been working on 12+ other videos at the moment. As soon as I get caught up with all of these videos that need to get done, I will get back to it.
Awesome flight Jeff! I really enjoy watching you fly man! Especially these videos when you are just chilling and flying for fun. It gives me some ideas to practice on the simulator. I do fly just not hardcore 3-D. Flips, rolls and some light inverted flying while out on the field. Orientation is the key so I’m still practicing that too. Thanks for the great videos my dude!
Thank you! I great appreciate it. I try to just have fun and not worry about a routine flight or constantly practicing new maneuvers half the time I just go to the field practice off camera have fun on camera. I’m glad these flights help you! It’s all practice!
I haven't flown the other brands, and I know I fly a 420 more than anything, but yes and yes, favorite is a raw 580 and that would be with nitro please. ha! I flew a Trex 600N for a long time and the RAW 580 Nitro feels so close to that. I would also choose the RAW over the Kraken. Great Flying man, every time I check in I'm like "dang he's gotten better again" and I go fly some hahaha!!! Keep it UP!!
Thank you buddy! I greatly appreciate it! I don’t get to sim as much as I would like but I’m trying! The RAW 580 (both electric and nitro) is perfect! Just for you I’ll get the nitro 580 out! Yes! I like the RAW more then the. kraken. Both 580 and 700. I’m excited to see how the ILgoblin Pro is. The best of both worlds? We will find out. It is a little lighter than a regular RAW!
Hey Jeff great flight like always ! I also fly my 580 on 6s 5000, got a scorpion motor and hobbywing 120. The motor runs real hot with short flight times too. I tried to change motor timing to 15 degrees too but that obviously heated the motor even more so dropped it back to 5 degrees as per scorpion 4025 recommendation. Anything you suggest I do ? Have a Microbeast X for FBL and Futaba radio, thanks
Thank you! I greatly appreciate it! So scorpion is notorious for running hot. That is one reason why I stand behind Xnova motors. They run really cool great flight performance and flight times while making a ton of power. Highly recommend picking up a Xnova 4025 1120kv shaft b for your 580.
@westhobbiesrc8051 you're looking at it wrong a 3300mah 12s is a significantly larger pack than a 5000mah 6s, in order for it to be a fair comparison the 6s would have to be 6600mah to be the same watt hours all we're doing is doubling the voltage
I feel the same about my Kraken 580. So locked in and a good presence. I would say it's very 'obedient'!

I’m coming from a 200 size en am flying the raw 500 now. It’s impressive enough for now 😂.

@@kajuta240 me too! Once I can get these builds done I’m videoing now I’ll get on it! I’m thinking about trying 8s on this and leaving the Orion 6s.
Great flying as always sir,you are the man, love the colors of this heli.
Thank you buddy! I greatly appreciate it!

I think this class of Heli may be the best (550/580) love my nimbus 550v2
I would also be interested in a comparison of the RAW 580 with the Nimbus 550 V2.
I love the 550/580 class helicopters. Perfect daily flying helicopter not as expensive to crash as a 700 and as intimidating.
If I can get a Nimbus 550 V2 I’ll definitely do it!

Amazing flight and videos ! Would you mind sharing your vbar cyclic and tail gain plz ?
Thank you! I greatly appreciate it. My cyclic gain is stock and tail is lowered about 10 on all three flight modes.

Haha I asked the other day and here a video lmao. Wish you could have made it to fall heli mowdown man.
I wish I could’ve made it as well! I’m gonna try to start going to more events. My life is already hectic and so full as it is lol
Ive been exposing all my 580's to germs in hopes they turn ill ......hello? is this Myk on?
I see what you did there.
lol I get what you did!
What is the weight?
I can’t remember off the top of my head but I want to say around 7lbs.
Can barely see it. Can't you fly closer?😊
It’s the GoPro, I could zoom but I won’t fly any closer to my self for safety. Something goes wrong I don’t want it next to me lol.
Only a 2 ounce difference between 6s and 12s
It’s actually almost a 1lb difference. 15.4oz
@westhobbiesrc8051 two pulse 2600mah weight 810 grams vs one pulse 5300mah with a weight of 747 grams its only a two ounce difference bro
@ 6s 5000mAh ManiaX pack is 780 grams, 12s 3300mAh ManiaX is 1220 grams. That’s a 440 gram which is 15.521oz difference bro.

@@westhobbiesrc8051 apparently you don't understand how watt hours work 3300mah 12s is equal to 6600mah 6s
