Hello again! One of my guinea pigs did something that may give you a laugh! Ella and Stella like to sit on the couch with me. They run around, climb on the cushions and climb on me. I'll give them a treat, then it's nap time. Ella likes to cuddle up to my leg. My son's cat got jealous, so she jumped up on the couch, laid down, and stared at Ella. Then she gave Ella a poke with her paw. I told the cat to stop it. She waited a minute, then she poked Ella again. Ella calmly walked over, gave the cat a good jab in the bum with her nose, then walked back to sprawl out next to my leg again. The cat looked so surprised! She didn't poke Ella any more after that! hahaha Sending you love from the US.

What an amazing habitat for these cute little critters. This couple maintains their enclosures quite impeccably and creatively. Beautiful. Boy, do they look happy and healthy!

We’ll done Mrs G🙌🙌 Skewered veggies are a great idea, the way those piggies went for everything you’d think they hadn’t been fed for a week! Just love these videos!! Especially the babies... Also - I recently read that Guineas should only eat limited veg and mostly hay - but yours look so happy and healthy and they eat loads of fruit and veg!

Have your piggies ever gotten bumble foot? Big problem when kept in small cages esp on wire I suspect no because they have such a healthy environment and get plenty of exercise

I have a question that I wonder if you can answer. Our Guinea pigs range in age from 3 years old to 6 months old. We have never had this problem until 2 weeks ago…early October in the United States. Almost overnight, our Guinea pig cages were stricken with flies, out of nowhere! We have gotten rid of most of them. We think the reason is that during the warmer months, our Border Collies learned how to open the doors to the house, which were unlocked during the day because we put a swimming pool in and the kids were in and out. Have you ever had trouble with flies attacking your Guinea pigs? If so, would you mind sharing how you got rid of them? We had three years with zero flies and then bam! Our poor piggies were miserable from a literal attack that lasted three days!
No I never had a problem with fly on my little ones But a different story with my sheep, as well as clutching them all the time , I use home made fly traps that works well , With a large cool drink bottles cut the top off a bout A third of the way down and in vert it like a funnel Put some smelly water in the bottom and seal the funnel top in place the flys come in an don’t work out how to get out , just add extra water for time to time All the best
