Take the tire off of whichever side you're replacing and fold back the plastic fender well guard and boom you're in and out in a few minutes each side. This is definitely a good tutorial if you want to take longer to avoid any other chores
The easier way to do it is to remove the front tire & wheel well cover. Access to the head lamps & turn signal is much more accessible, & definitely much more simple.
Just did it on a thirteen randy, once you get the wheel well cover off you can reach the headlights and turn signal lamp housings easily Philip is right
First to be clear I'm only talking about replacing the headlight lamp. I know this comment has already been added but I just got done replacing my head light bulb and I want to not just say that comment I want to show how to disgusting the fleecing of people needing car services think about how on the books he goes to this insane amount of extra work and charges what they charge and some schmuck thinks oh well I guess it's justified look at everything that has to be done, yes folks look at the other comment at least one I saw that talks about how insanely simple this can be you just simply do it from the wheel well you remove the 7mm bolts you remove the push pins all of a sudden you have access to the headlamp to replace it also if you're dumb enough to try this method at home there's all kinds of trouble he's not mentioning you'll have like for example if you do this method shown do you realize they headlight will not be perfectly aligned and you will then spend hours trying to get it aligned that's just one example of how you'll spend days doing it this method don't be a fool don't do it.
For some reason, the assemblies in my 2012 200 look different, though I don’t know why so many commenters here seem to think this is just to replace the bulbs when it’s to show how to swap the whole housing?!
@@elizabethashcraft1180 if you’re just changing your bulbs it’s different. You will need to go through the wheel well. This is for the whole housing. They have a separate video for the bulbs
Also don't forget when changing your bulb that the neutron collides with a uranium atom and splits it, releasing a large amount of energy in the form of heat and radiation. More neutrons are also released when a uranium atom splits. These neutrons continue to collide with other uranium atoms, and the process repeats itself over and over again. Otherwise you'll have one headlight and most likely be a huge burden on your family and that's why you bought this car in the first place.
brother this is my third Chrysler type of vehicle I worked on you went the hard route guy in the comments below dude with a removing the front tire was closest you don't even have to do turn the tires all the way to the left hand side take the three bolts outthat's on the wheel well and the two plastic wedge anchors out of the top and it exposes the whole light
This car is such a pain in the ass. I even tried to remove the wheel well cover on my 2011 and couldn't get my hand in there to reach the fkn thing to access it.
Went to my local scrapyard for a headlight. They told me a 2013 would not match.(i have a 2012 chrysler 200 ,limited. (chrome headlights)so, they WHERE correct in it wouldn't match,,,color scheme... but aside from black vs chrome ,,,it bolted right up. 🤣got the emblem and grille plus headlight for $80. Dem damn deer man!
Because this car is designed very poorly and a lot of work in the front required the bumper off. The battery is also in a stupid spot behind the left side front bumper which means removing driver front tire and wheel well cover to access the battery itself

Had I known Chrysler's were such a pain in the rear to do a simple bulb replacement - I never would have gotten one!
Same! This is absolutely 100% ridiculous to replace a headlight!!
💯
The battery is even worse!!
Rule one when buying a chrysler: don't
The battery too cuh 🤣 I'm relocating it, who TF decided that was a good idea putting it IN THE WHEEL WELL????
This is absolutely insane! All this work for a light bulb ?
Replacing the battery is not so simple either, lol
My god, this is ridiculous for a headlight bulb.
I'm not even sure ridiculous covers it accurately.

Dosent work on 13s otherwise he would have made a different video thebody is inthe way on some models
@@RandyRockSolid then why doesnt he say that at the start of the video

Thank you for sharing this vid. Very helpful info for removing the front bumper.

You mean tell after 40 years of changing headlights I could have been doing it like this? aint noway.
Im never getting chrysler 200 again
Silly me. I clicked on the video, thinking it was how to replace the light bulbs.
WHAT? he's removing the bumper?
Okay how do you fix the the eyebrow light in the headlight? Or do I have to replace the entire headlight to get that working again?
For some reason, the assemblies in my 2012 200 look different, though I don’t know why so many commenters here seem to think this is just to replace the bulbs when it’s to show how to swap the whole housing?!
I have a 2012 as well and every video I watch does not make since with my car.

Hi I have a Chrysler 200 and I want to know if you have a video to remove the lower control arms
I have oxidation in a lense, can you remove just the lense? Without taking the whole housing assembly, bumper, horn, etc off?
It's more work but less tedious than removing the wheel, wheel well, and trying to reach up and in to the mounts

I'm afraid to ask how you change the dome lights in this car 😅😭
Cuantos dólares para cambiar las luces delantera todas
I like the video, hate the car. Thanks so much for your help.

At 3:05 what's that small plug at the top right peaking out and where does it go?
Really no one see the bolt on the headlight you can just barley get to by the grill undo it and the headligh will rotate
I literally just turned the tire as sharp as possible and did it in15 mins
Thank you!! This helped a lot!

This is an absurd nuisance. It seems come Chrysler 200's have an access port in the wheel well and some do not, so check first!
This is why Chrysler charges $300 for a service
This is stupid
Just pull back the wheel well and go from underneath
It already cost me hundreds of dollars for a new battery and now this...wtf!!
Is this the same guy from A1 auto videos?

My goodness, all of this for 1 headlight 🤦🏾♀️
I'm surprised you haven't deleted this video yet.
Slot of work for one headlight
They sure don't make things easy, lol. I was hoping I could just pop the hood and remove it.
Was there a curb the owner didn't run over?
BTW...This repair method is pretty standard for all cars made in the past 25 years.
It's a goddamn afternoon just to replace a bulb
There is easier way to do this.
Or..just maybe or when your bulb burns our pay someone to push it into the local quarry or burn it out
LOL why he remove the whole bumper?! :D :D :D

Worst car ever. it’s easy but hard at the same time because i’d mix up all those bolts lol
Wtf
All this to change a fkn HEADLIGHT smh
Panzie
Oh, please elaborate, wise one.
