Anyway, when they say 'landed at pearl' do they mean... Pearl Harbor? Pretty ironic.
Yamato has an underlying idea that we will live under a unified Earth. The plan to have Yamato land a Pearl was intentional. Earth must be a united front to face what is coming, reflective of the Galaxy in 2230 with the Galman/Earth Federation alliance, The Milky Way Confederation.

There will definitely be a fight! One to determine the fate of not one, but multiple galaxies!
This is really good! Your crew has stayed true to the original series in atmosphere and technology. The continuity is there too. The Yamato isn't suddenly, magically fully operational, but in the condition it was at the end of the original series. This new crew really has their work cut out for them.
Keeping in theme and continuity with the original story is at the heart of our series. We wanted this to feel like a natural progression in the universe and not something completely random and out of place.

Nope, that is Isao Sasaki, he sang the original version of the song in Japanese before any kind of English translation was done. The version we hear is the one time he translated the song to English.
This was a pretty poor attempt at animation. I feel sad for you.
