The scoring system and knockout format create a situation that forces the athletes to fight hard from go. These prelims are just as baddass as finals imo.

Why can’t the commentators be in the moment and actually commentate on the performances taking place? It’s like, without fail, every time a new skater starts his run they literally just start talking about how they might have a potential to make it far in the competition if they--oh wait, runs over. 🤦♂️ 🤷♂️
