- The 2016 St. Louis Cardinals hit at least one homerun in 25 straight games which tied a National League record while falling 2 shy of the Major League record of 27 straight games which was set by the Texas Rangers in 2002. The Cardinals previous best homerun streak was set at 19 games in 2006.
The last game of this streak had five homeruns, one a game tying blast in the 9th inning by Matt Carpenter who had come off the bench. This pinch-hit homerun gave the 2016 Cardinals the record for most pinch-hit homeruns by a team in a single season with 15.

Almost made the playoffs this team...too many losses to the goddamn Reds. This was the only team that had a winning record vs the Cubs in 16.
SLR107FR31 dude I was like the cards should’ve/would’ve beat them if they made it to the postseason. They did really good against the Cubs

Seeing this glory and enduring the embarrassment the offense has become. Ugh.
