Early into my first campaign, I saw a small party with an absurd amount of prisoners. I was feeling bold, so I attacked. I won, and when I got to recruit the prisoners, most weren't anything worth mentioning, aside from about 20 Triari. I had no idea where these came from, but they looked cool, so I adopted them all immediately. With most of my army at the time being low ranking sturgian troops, bandits, and the like, the 20 Triari immediately made a huge impact on my size 70 or so army. Where a battle would previously be a struggle, my new elite troops pulled through with ease. I wanted to recruit more of them, but no empire town ever seemed to have any available. Their numbers dwindled slowly over time, until just a handful remained. I had never sworn myself to any kingdom, as I wanted to be my own ruler one day, and when the time came that I finally mustered the strength and courage to siege my first town, I succeeded, but the last of my Triari had fallen in the battle. I named my kingdom after them, having saved them from slavery, not expecting to have them repay their debt tenfold. I eventually learned where they actually come from, and was sad that openly recruiting them wasn't an option ;(
Wolfskins and the legion of the betrayed are my favorites. I always like when I can see the triarii on the battlefield they are amazing and be honest who don't like warriors with wolf pelt on then
Also of note is that there's a removed faction hidden in the game's files: Removed Imperial Clan - Guardians (Guardians of the Hills), Description: "The Watchers are frontiersmen in the northwest of the Empire. They are used to working with the local nobility, specializing in scouting and tracking. But as the Empire descended into civil war, they have begun asserting power in the areas in which they live, becoming a law unto themselves and taking what they want from surrounding villages. They still will cooperate with imperial marcher noble families, but on their terms, not the Empire's."
Some of the minor factions are: •veteran’s day parade •literally just the state of Haiti •bedouins •mongol countryside •the order of the Assassins •viking warrior monks(?) •Rhodoks •Robin Hood and his merry men •Sauron’s Illuminatii •Louisiana people •the Irresponsible Agriculture Squad •Furries •self-enslavement(Hey isnt that Golden Company from GoT?)
Talesworlds these minor factions sound amazing, but please add more content to them! Let me talk to one of their lords and hire from them! Let me join them! Let them take over castles and towns and become major factions! There are lots of things that could be done to make them so much more interesting!
If not a whole Fife, their occupying towns without outright sacking them could be a thing. And if you execute a leader of the Lake Rats, most would cheer for you...
I wish there were more to the minor factions than just flavour text, like being able to recruit individual troops instead of the entire clan; being able to join the faction, even if temporarily; being able to select them as your starting culture. As to my favourites, I have to go with the Karakhergits. These guys go way, way back in MnB's lore, being a bandit faction back in the earliest version of Mount and Blade classic. The Digital Companion also paints them as pretty cool. Other factions, I don't care much for. I guess the Elephteroi (or however you spell it) are interesting, and under the right mood, the Legion and Skoldebrodva could also play out pretty nicely, but otherwise, that's about it.
The Jawwal in my current world are under the Empire, which is very surprising cause me being an Aserai, I've nearly eliminated the entire Empire. So the fact that there's Aserai factions working for the dying Empire, is shocking.

The Jawwal Units in-game have names like "Jawwal Bedouin" as well, and their official description in the game describes them as "The Jawwal, or 'Roamers,' are the main bedouin confederacy in the Nahasa desert", so I imagine he's just using the in-game terminology. The game already uses a lot of real-world historical terms and words for its cultures and units, like the Khuzaits fielding Keshigs (actual name for the Royal Guard of Mongolian Khans), Battanian Fians (based on the Irish Fianna of Celtic Mythology) and Sturgian Varyag (literally the origin of the word Varangian, meaning the Viking peoples of modern-day Russia)
@@JagoPulastra Yeah I get that, I just found it very strange. I understand all these other historical use of the terms, since they're mostly historical and not used as a term for an entire culture. Like, keshigs and varyags are immediately understood to be a military unit, and the fians are as such too. But the use of Bedouin felt kinda off, since Bedouins are an actual people haha.

I think Bannerlord would be alot more fun if the player could join any of these mercenary groups become a leader of it or befriend and ask them to join their clan or kingdom as lords. Would also be cool if serve as soldier mod worked with mercenary groups and the players clan was interchangeable with other houses and clans. would also be cool if the Mod Fourberie worked in such a way where the mercenary clans actually had bases of operations to call a home and where villages could have a tavern like towns and minature towns that had walls. but very unlikely from the Devs. thank god for the modding community though. I'm still annoyed at the Devs for teasing Elephants two years ago and still no sign.

Where IS a wolfskin?
Bannerlord had lot’s of potential it’s a shame TaleWords didn’t follow through adding extra things
You could join them right ?

@@yousif9375 😕
I'd like to be able to join a minor faction
Skolderbrotva all the way.
Why did bro stop uploading
Just don't have enough time to consistently commit to the channel right now. Hopefully one day in the future I can find time for it
You still uploading?
Come back
Legion of the Betrayed.
>Karakhuzaits
Not really subtle lol
Tbh, i hate and love them all. You cant count on any of them when shtf however, easy big army loot when they betray you 🤷 just starting to get hard to find traders that can actually pay for the loot... I need comstant war to pay for security against bandits... I feel like thats an inbalance that needs fixing. No amount of towns supply enough money to keep a working army to keep towns safem
You have to level up the skills that make you pay less to your armies.
Yo make more content man
Legion!
I honestly hate them all XD all seem satisfied to throw their lives away to be a thorn in my side.
Check out game called Gloria Victis :) its coming out in few days on Steam (full game) - it has the same combat system as Bannerlord but is medieval MMO :D
Skodler Broda bruh
Embers of the Flame seem to be satanic
